Do not hire this company!! I've paid over $12,000 for a new AC and heating system and still had problems! They installed the AC two years ago through my homeowners insurance and when the heat stopped working I called them back. They said the heating system need to be replaced and they were looking for a compatible unit for the Rheem AC system they had previously installed. That was in May of 2025. I paid an additional almost $7000 for the heating system and their repairs. It was still not functioning and was told by Dave to just run it emergency mode. I paid to have the work inspected and it turns out Dave used parts and equipment that were not compatible and used duct tape to make it all kind of go together. There were open wires left hanging and it was stated by the inspector that it was the worst job he had seen in his 13 years of experience. Dave left trash and all the parts from the old unit under the house in the crawl space. Dave promised to refund me when confronted and stated he did not have time to complete the job. He has failed to give me the refund he promised and is also not taking my calls. I am now working on filing a lawsuit and have filed a police report for fraud and theft by trick or device. I paid for work not done and work it appears he had no ability to do. I questioned his license status as a AC/Heating technician and he refused to answer the question. Acc Mechanical gave estimate for Heat Pump installation and i gave them $4000 in down payment. Installation never happened and eventually all forms of contact with them went unanswered. Police report was filed for the arrest of owner. read more

This has been a once in a lifetime horror story. We contracted ACC Mechanical to replace our Air Conditioner on a referral from our home warranty Choice Home Warranty. They initially were dispatched and said our entire system needed to be replaced. They said we had to pay them $3,700 to even order the parts which we did in good faith. They were supposed to be out in 24 hours to complete the work on June 23rd. They did not show up until the following week. They spend all day installing the new a/c. It wasn't finished so they came back two days later to complete the work. They told me to shut the system down and turn it on in 1 hour. They left and in an hour I turned on the system. We had no a/c, it did not blow any air and it wasn't getting cold. I called them the next day and they said they would be out to fix it. They never showed up but called late in the day and said they would be there the next day. They came back out and could not get it running. They said a part was defective and they had to get a new condenser. It took two days for the new part. They installed the new part and damaged it on installation. They ordered another one and said it would be several days. Please keep in mind we are now 2 weeks past when it was supposed to be fixed and the temperature in the home was 76 degrees and my wife and I take care of her 90 year old mother. They showed up with the new part and installed it and left without letting us know. It still did not work. It does not blow any air through the vents and obviously it doesn't get cold. I had to go out and purchase a $500 free standing a/c unit from Home Depot because it was too hot in the home for my mother in law. They did not come out for 2 more days. They finally showed up and spent 3 hours working on it but still couldn't get it working. We finally decided to go out of town and stay someplace that had a/c instead of being miserable at home. We spent $600+ on accommodations and eating out. We were in communications with the contractor and finally on July 7th they said they had it working and we were all good. I arrived home on Monday July 11th and the thermostat was set on 69 and it was 77 degrees in the home. I called immediately and they said they would be out the next day. They never showed up so I called again and they said it would be Wednesday. They did show up and the contractor said the unit was frozen and they would have to let it thaw and they would be back early morning the next day (July 14th). Nobody has called or shown up and it's 9:47 am and it already 75 degrees in the home. I also work out of my home. They have been out a total of 14 times to "fix" the problem. I paid them $3,700 back on June 23rd and today is July 14th. I have been reasonable and courteous to these people but I need to get this fixed. I want to hire someone else but I need my $3,700 back so I can pay a reputable contractor for the work. I paid them $3,700 and not once, not even for 5 minutes has my a/c worked. I have a 90 year old woman that lives with us. They have been out a total of 12 times and it's always some excuse. I will be going to all the local businesses in Towns County, Clay County, Cherokee County, and Union County and anywhere else these idiots try to do business until I put them out of business. They have been trying to 3 years to fix the a/c at Paradise Grill it still doesn't work. They don't even bother to show up anymore. Trouble Tap or Hideaway is a customer now I understand why it's also so hot in the restaurant. I should have known better. I was referred to them by my home warranty company - Choice Home Warranty. They are getting sued as well as ACC Mechanical. I am going to the courthouse tomorrow to get back everything I've paid them. Plus I had to purchase a portable a/c until for $500 just so my mother in law didn't cook to death. I also had to spend a couple of nights in a hotel just because the heat in the home was some unbearable. How can you run a business like that. Oh, I'm sorry they don't have a business. You call the number and I think it's Britney says yes. Never a name of the company or how can I help you. I can't wait to run into them around town some day! Unfortunately I did not see these other reviews before I let these disgusting awful THIEVES come into my home. They completely ripped me off for $2,500. They told me my coil was not under warranty and charged me $1700 for new coil pus labor. I paid them but when I was talking to my insurance company I discovered it in fact was under warranty. I called back these thieves and he said 00 sorry OK I'll give you the $1700 back. It took him more than two weeks to give me my own money back which I would never have got back unless I had done the investigating myself. I then had a good company MCKINNEY heating and air come over just to do my yearly inspection. They told me that the completely wrong coil was installed and that I was losing so much money because of that. They told me that coil needs to be removed and I need a whole new coil which would cost $1200 including labor. So that's $1200 for the correct coil including labor when this ACC company charge me $1700 for the wrong coil plus labor. So if MCKINNEY air had to come in the first place they would've seen that my coil was under warranty got the correct coil to replace and it wouldn't have cost me anything. now I cannot get a new coil under warranty because ACC took my original coil. So now in addition to all the extra money I've been spending on heat I now have to pay out another $1200 and it shouldn't cost me anything because it was under warranty. I was referred to ACC from our home warranty Company. I had contacted Dave at ACC in July of 2022. Dave had responded and was there in a few days. While Dave was at our property he had hooked up his gauges and stated that we had a leak and that we needed a new unit. I paid ACC the amount that was not covered by the warranty. When his install crew arrived, they started the replacement when they realized that the heat pump that was ordered was not the correct one. It took ACC over a week to get a new unit. Meanwhile we were told two different dates of when the crew would be back. I got no call on when or if they were coming to in do the install. I took two days off of work to be here for them. When I called ACC, Dave was rude and stated "Do you want the equipment installed or not"! The previous unit was a 3.5 ton unit. ACC installed a 4 ton unit (which is too big for our house), We have had another company redo our duct work which was set up for a 3.5 ton unit, now it is setup for a 4 ton. The coils kept frosting over due to the heat pump being to big and not being able to equalize the pressure. I tried calling ACC from my cell phone which he blocked. I had to call from another phone line only to have him answer, and then he became agitated. When I did get ahold of ACC to inform Dave that the unit he had installed was too big for our house. Dave's response was "I did not". I tried to explain to him that he had in fact installed the wrong unit. Dave became agitated, and started to get loud. Dave stated that he had to put in a 4 ton unit because the heat pump had no shade. (Keep in mind that we had unit in the same spot, and it worked fine, till it needed to be replaced). Dave claimed that he was not paid from the warranty company and that he was not going to do any work till he was paid. I contacted the warranty company to be told that he was in fact paid. When I call ACC again, I told Dave that he was in fact paid and I even told him the date that he was paid. His response was I am not going to do any work with a negative Google review. Dave also stated that he would have his office contact the next morning in regards to the warranty company payment. I had to call ACC back later the next day as they refused to call me. When I got a hold of Dave his only response was "once the negative review was removed, then he would come out and do the work". I told Dave that once the work was done then the negative review would be removed. Dave stated "I have lost all leverage against him". I am not sure if this would be a company is truly reputable or not but going by how Dave treats customers, I would not recommend ACC to even my worst enemy. How hard would it be to do the right thing and fix the mistake. That is all I want is for it to be made right. But ACC is refusing to so. read more

Our HVAC went out so we called Dave and he told us our "air handler" was bad and it was going to cost $3800 to replace including labor. We talked to a Trane rep to get a quote to replace the whole unit since it was going to be so much. The Trane rep looked at it and he said it was just a bad relay and replaced it for $149 plus visit. I would rate lower if it would allow for less than a 1 star rating. Hired Dave to do a job in late november and was told 2 to 3 weeks to do the job. Today is February 6th and the job isnt finished and he calls me today to say that he isnt finishing the job because i asked his "dispatcher" to relay a message to him that he was costing me money everyday he didnt finish the job. Initial payment to him was supposed to be for parts to do the job, but he wont give me the part that I have paid for to get someone else to do the job. Not to mention, he got the wrong part at least once, I believe twice, you would think he would take measurements of the part that he needs and check those measurements against the part that he is ordering.
