Acadia Veterinary Clinic, Dr. Eric Griesshaber, Kandie and all the staff are wonderful. I have 3 dogs & 2 cats who are beloved family members and I completely trusted Acadia with their care for many, many years. I recently relocated to Wilmington, NC and one of the most difficult things is trying to find someone I trust as much as Dr. Eric and staff. We sure do miss them!

    Loui adores Dr Griesshaber!

After working with various…read morespecialists, I often found the medical explanations to be overwhelming and complex during what were already high-stress appointments. However, everything changed when we went to Los Altos Veterinary Clinic. During a routine appointment, I asked Dr. Gould for her opinion on my dog's condition. For the first time, I felt like I truly understood my dog's health outlook. Dr. Gould provided genuine, realistic feedback and educated us on our dog's care in a way that was accessible and clear. Her demeanor and expertise are the blueprint for what a doctor should be: empathetic, realistic, and able to translate medical complexity into layman's terms. Rather than being pushy about "right or wrong," she focused on what was best for my dog's mental and physical health, while remaining mindful of my own capacity as an owner during the recovery process. She brought tears of relief to an emotionally taxing situation. A few highlights that make this clinic stand out: * The Staff: From the front desk to the practitioners, the team is phenomenal; warm, professional, and patient. As a medical provider myself, I recognize a high-functioning team when I see one; there are no "loose ends" here. * Efficiency: Scheduling is seamless, and they respect your time. I've never found myself waiting around past my appointment time. * The Personal Touch: They treat your dog as if it were their own. They even put out an adorable personalized welcome sign for your dog's first appointment! If you value high-end medical care and total professionalism, come here. This clinic is truly "it" from top to bottom. I cannot stress enough how valuable this entire team has been for our fur baby.

I also love how the waiting area, despite being small, is never packed. At most, it's me and another person. It doesn't seem like they're rushing people in and out and they take their time with each pet. The staff at Los Altos Vet Clinic is always so friendly and welcoming and every doctor I've come across has been so caring and kind. I really get a sense that they love animals and care about their patients. I have gotten blood work multiple times for my cat, and every time, I get a call from the doctor themselves, on the test results. I've traveled all over the world with my cat and Los Altos Vet Clinic is by far my favorite clinic I've been to. I'd highly recommend them to all cat and dog owners!

UC Davis and a local specialist could not give me an appointment for more than a month. I feel fortunate to have found Dr. Kureshi, who has had extensive training in dealing with complicated ear problems and has the specialized equipment needed to thoroughly clean the ears and visualize them, as well as a CT scanner. Because the problem was somewhat urgent Dr. Kureshi made the effort to see my dog the same day I called, and was able to evaluate him and start an effective treatment. Ear problems in dogs can be hard to visualize and difficult/frustrating to definitively treat. I highly recommend Dr. Kureshi at Cupertino Animal Hospital/The Pet Ear Care Center if you need prompt and thorough care for your pet's ear problem.

Until recently, this was a 5-star clinic, but the administrative experience has declined significantly. We had always appreciated the ability to call for quick questions and book appointments--a necessity for managing a pet's health. However, communication has become a major hurdle since last year. Last year's AI system made it impossible to book an appointment for our new puppy or communicate with staff. We provided feedback at the time about how difficult this made communication. While the AI answering system is now gone, reaching a human is still a struggle. I don't think they have staff in the office answering calls anymore. Most recently, my dog suffered through days of diarrhea because of the slow communication process. It's heartbreaking to watch a pet suffer while waiting days just to get a status update on a prescription. I still trust the medical staff, but the communication barriers make it very difficult to recommend them like I used to.

Everyone is so friendly and helpful, and they really all care about animals. Dr. Michelle has always been wonderful. She listens, she's patient, my dogs love her, she's professional and just a pleasure to coordinate with when it comes to my dogs' care. I lean on the more holistic side of care, and I love that Dr. Michelle really takes that into consideration when we are discussing health and meds. She doesn't just run to medication for the answer all the time. I really appreciate the balance of some holistic remedies with modern medicine for the dogs. My older dog Snickers has pancreatitis and he is on prescription food, but Just Food for Dogs as a topper and other vitamins she suggested. Also, the prices here are very reasonable. I've had to take the dogs to other vets on the occasion the office is closed for a week, and other vet prices are very pricey! Arroyo Animal Clinic doesn't try to sale me on procedures or meds. We just address what is needed. There isn't a sales pitch like some other vets do. Things can get expensive (I've had surgeries here, teeth cleanings, blood panels, and all those are not cheap. But still overall service and care cannot be beat. They really do care about you and you're animal. All in all, Arroyo Animal Clinic has been my go to veterinary for years, and I'm not going anywhere else. I drive from San Jose to come here and will continue do so until Dr. Michelle closes shop.

Happily he is back doing what he is CLEARLY so good at, which I found out quite by accident through a mutual friend. He has locations in Saratoga and Campbell. We wanted a 2nd opinion on a problem our little dog, Teddy Bear, was having with his back legs for which his current vet had several drastic recommendations including an incapacitating (and expensive - it's VCA) surgery - on a 15-year-old dog. Teddy just came back from seeing Dr. Reed in Saratoga (a Sunday appointment no less!). Dr. Reed diagnosed luxating patellas, popped them back into place, and after having limped around for almost 2 weeks (Teddy saw his then vet on 12/2), Teddy's function is almost normal and he CLEARLY is so much more comfortable now. I can't thank Dr. Reed enough. It gladdens my heart to see this change in our little guy. As a side note, when Dr. Reed was in Los Gatos, we decided we wanted to start adopting dogs that needed families rather than buying from breeders, and Dr. Reed, out of the kindness of his heart, was boarding several dogs that needed new homes. My then young son and I went to his dog hospital to meet them, immediately fell in love with one, and have been adopting dogs ever since. (We are Teddy's 4th family!) So not only is he a great vet, he is also a kind and caring person. .

If you are looking for a kind, friendly clinic for routine care like annual exams or heartworm…read moreprescriptions, this may be a good fit. However, if your pet needs effective medical diagnosis and treatment, our experience suggests you may want to look elsewhere. Our dog got a hot spot the first week of December so we went in to get it checked out - this visit we left with generic broad range antibiotics and anti-itch cream, pretty common issue in dogs so I understood this course of action. Two weeks later after finishing the antibiotics we noticed that it wasn't getting better at all so we gave them a call and they prescribed us something different over the phone without seeing her - weird that you would know what to prescribe without seeing why the issue wasn't getting resolved. Finished those pills and surprise, didn't work. So now back into the vet we go - this visit we left by agreeing to do a culture test so we can figure out the exact strain of bacteria so that they can prescribe the correct antibiotics. While we wait for the test results, they prescribe different stronger antibiotics as well as a new anti-itch cream. At this point, I am getting frustrated that it's been a month and my dog is still uncomfortable and still in a cone with something as common as a hot spot. When I relay my frustration, they were very understanding, and they also verbally guaranteed that with a culture sample they will be able to fully heal her hotspot since this will give them the exact strain of bacteria. When we get the results, they let us know that the prescription pills and anti-itch cream that they had prescribed to us in the meantime were useless and that we should stop them immediately and pick up her new antibiotics and a new anti-itch spray. They again reiterate that this new medication will heal her hotspot since they know the exact strain of bacteria that is causing it. We are now going into week 7 and to my surprise, after following every instruction exactly as directed, and 4 different pills, 2 anti-itch creams, 1 anti-itch spray, MUTIPLE $85 recheck fees, and a total of over $1000, we are still in the same exact spot as we were in the beginning of December...over something as common as a hot spot!
