I haven't had luck with most contractors in the past, almost all of them overcharge and do really bad quality work to the point of having to hire someone else to fix mistakes. Max not only charged fairly but went above and beyond what we agreed on and painted all the trims and baseboards for us free of charge in the end because it looked bad otherwise, even though initially we decided not to have him do it as we didn't want to pay extra when we were going to replace them in the future. He is extremely quick! And does a really great job. I'm really happy with Max and I honestly have such little trust with contractors after all the hell I've been through with them. I had a 3 other quotes and Max had the best price. We will definitely be hiring him again to paint. Thank you to the one person who reviewed him on here so that I was able to find him!!

I can't express how much I would recommend Jason and colour by Design…read more From start to finish, you can tell he truly cares - not only about his work but about his clients and their homes. We needed him and his team in a few days notice, and then kept adding more to the scope of work, and he made sure his team was available. Even on the tight timeline, he remained professional, provided a fair price, and made sure his team got everything done - including diligently covering all floors, cabinets, furniture, etc before beginning to paint. He was also extremely helpful from a design perspective. Even before hiring him, he shared tips and recommendations for the types of paint, finishes, and colours to use - not just for his team but for another painter that we originally hired for the house. I would HIGHLY recommend working with Jason and colour by Design!
