Lextan have three different models here, in addition to a range of other beauty services such as Swedish and deep tissue massages, facials, manicures, pedicures, waxing, eyelash perms, extensions and tints, and even ear piercing. The draw for me is the Dermalogica range used in their facial treatments; it's also worth mentioning that the therapists at Lextan also carry out a free face mapping skin analysis, where your face is split into 14 zones to target any skin problems or concerns you have. I use the tanning machines quite often and I find they are all very decent and well looked after. The price is average. The staff are very friendly I find the salon looks very modern and trendy with a nice leather sofa for you to sit on if you are waiting.

There are 6 stand up beds and 2 lie downs, it's adviseable to book at peak times like lunch or after work but you rarely have to wait more than 10 minutes for a bed. The staff are professional and friendly, and are well informed of all the latest offers. They also do spray tans which I've never had but have heard are well done and look good. The offers are sometimes very attractive with 3 for 2 deals etc, and deals including lotion and free minutes which makes your tan last longer. Very clean and hygenic, the staff always prepare each bed for the new user.

You stand on a marker and press a button and spray starts from your feet and works up. You have to hold your breath unless you want to inhale it, I cant imagine its that good for you! and then you turn around and it comes on again. Its quite noisy and makes you jump but the end result it great, very natural looking with no streaks.

A friend of mine regularly uses the facilities and wouldn't dream of going anywhere else... she likes to pop in on a whim and spend a few minutes on the sun bed before getting in a few groceries, (she says it makes the prospect of going shopping a lot more attractive). It's funny, I have a few friends who use nail shops in much the same way... They pop in and have one nail done to break up a whole string of chores, and they reckon it lightens the load!

Beth is an amazing beautician - she is the only person who does my eyebrows the shape I like them. They also offer all the usual treatments - I've had my nails done here and have also tried out their pedicure which was great. The hair stylists are just as great and the salon is modern and clean. I highly recommend Sarah-Jane, she does my hair exactly how I like it and is friendly and personable. They have special offers running for both beauty and hair quite regularly; and one thing about this place that I particularly like is the ability to book online through their Facebook page using Fresha software. Highly recommended.

I had never been to a tanning studio before and explicitly mentioned this. The explanations given…read morewere scarce, absolutely no check was performed regarding skin type etc., I arrived fully dressed with a jacket on and was told "I think I'll stick you in for 6 minutes, that should do", Result, my body was tingling all day and now 15 hrs later it feels like it is on fire all over from "sun burn", although none is visible on the surface. Avoid at all costs" I wouldn't consider them reputable , knowledgeable or responsible and they are risking peoples health! PS: I only wanted a mild pre-tan before going on vacation so I wouldn't immediately burn there and had never used tanning salons or spray tans etc. before, nor was I really planning on using one again (now I certainly won't)
