Great place, great people, and fair pricing. Lots of options and advice. Used them for a house remodel and man cave.

Outstanding job! We replaced almost all the flooring in our house and can't say enough good things about this company.

My wife jumped online, read through reviews, and Fred's Flooring stood out with consistently great feedback from happy customers. From the very first call, Coach was an absolute rockstar! He went way above and beyond to help us select the perfect flooring, get it installed on an impressively tight timeline, and all at a fair, competitive price. The entire process was smooth, stress-free, and surprisingly quick. What really blew us away was when we realized we needed additional work done--Coach didn't just point us in the right direction; he personally recommended trusted pros, got them scheduled immediately, and made it all happen seamlessly. Throughout everything, he was incredibly responsive--answering every call, keeping us updated every step of the way, and truly treating us like valued friends rather than just customers. Huge thank you to Coach and the entire team at Fred's Flooring for turning a stressful situation into a fantastic experience. Your dedication, professionalism, and genuine care made all the difference. If you're in Middle Tennessee and need flooring (or related work), look no further--Fred's is the real deal! Highly, highly recommend!

We had a most unsatisfactory experience with Mid-State Flooring recently. We came in for carpet for…read morethree bedrooms. In addition to the carpet we had two stipulations, on which we were explicit. One was the install date (we gave over a week lead) and the other was we required "pet-proof" carpet pads. We keep large dogs as pets and often have grandchildren as houseguests. Both are generally messy and occasionally have accidents that can require strenuous measures to clean up. We specified the date because our son and d-i-l offered to come in from out of town to help move furniture out of the bedrooms and back in after installation. The morning of our install date we sat around waiting several hours for MidState to show up, then I called. Don was unaware of the delay and eventually found that their install person had, instead of coming to do the job, had left that morning for Alabama (his words). I explained how inconvenient and unacceptable this was and asked him to expedite a plan B. Nothing happened, even after I went back to the store to explain our needs in person. It took Don three days to find someone to make the install. I checked on the men doing the install and saw they were using very basic, inferior carpet pads and called Don to find out why our stipulation regarding the pads had been ignored. He claimed no knowledge of our order for the pet-proof pads. I reminded him of our requirements as voiced at the time of order, to no effective end. He claimed to review his notes on the order and saw no such specification. Odd, because it was a major feature of our order and seemed to have been included in the pricing of the job (which was competitive, btw). Frankly we felt cheated. From previous experience (with Joey's in Gallatin) I realized the pads are a potential target for bait and switch tactics, where the better pad is priced in the job but then inferior pads are installed and the carpet laid over before the consumer can check it. I can not recommend Mid-State Flooring for any work that you won't require specifications in writing and then keep both eyes on the entire process. Even then I do not recommend anyone who would take advantage of an incautious customer. Look elsewhere for your flooring needs and you may have a better experience.

He called again and had to reschedule the appointment for later that afternoon. No problem. I got a third phone call saying that no one would be able to come out that day and wanted to reschedule again for another day. I returned the call and left a message. Got no response at all. The customer service and lack of communication easily convinced us to go with another company. There are enough people in Nashville doing flooring that I have planet to choose from.

First, I want to say that I don't think Lamb Brothers is a bad company, and I'm not sure our…read moreexperience was typical. This is from an installation that happened in January. I gave it some time to cool off before I wrote a review, and I got busy with other things, which is why I'm just now writing about our experience. Me and my girlfriend needed a new kitchen floor. We checked out several places, but went with Lamb Bros because our salesman, John, was very friendly and knowledgable. They also had the checkerboard vinyl we wanted in stock. First issue: My girlfriend owns the house. When John was filling out the paperwork (I wasn't around), he put her first name and my last name on it. No big. However, my girlfriend politely corrected him, and he kind of blew it off and left my last name on the paperwork. Now, John is an older guy and grew up in a different time, but this 2017. My girlfriend is an employed, independent woman, and she really doesn't appreciate being treated like a 1950s house wife. Second issue: The install crew was supposed to show up in the morning, but the kept putting us off and putting us off. It was late afternoon by the time they got to our house. My dad was a contractor, and I worked construction up until my mid 20s. I know that things happen and people get behind. But the crew was at least 5 hours late. I also want to note that they showed up with our vinyl on the trailer loaded up with the vinyl on the outside. So they begin the install. They were nice enough guys, but you could tell they were wanting to get the day over with. They did the install, which took between 2 and 3 hours. We gave it a once over and a thumbs up and they left. Later that night, I noticed a place where the vinyl had been torn and glued back. It was several inches long. Me and my girlfriend started looking around, and we found several of these hastily repaired tears. My girlfriend was so upset she was almost ready to start crying. The next day, I took pictures of the tears and emailed them to John and to the Lamb Bros general office. I'll give this to John; he was really, really not happy about those tears, and really, really not happy with his crew. He told us they'd be back to fix things, ASAP. I need to make this clear: Lamb Bros immediately sent the crew back out for a full re-install with no hassle at all. Except for the last name thing, Lamb Bros as a company, and John as a salesman, were great to deal with. Third issue: The same crew came back. Same deal as last time, they were supposed to be at our house early, but they showed up in the afternoon. They were apologetic about the previous install and immediately began taking up the old floor and putting in the same design vinyl as before. Again, though, we had problems with the install. One of the guys cut our border with the hardwood-floored living room too short. We have a 2X4 showing in the floor from a remodel before we got the house, and we were wanting the kitchen vinyl to cover it up. Now half a 2X4 is showing. However, in his defense, the guy told us about it right away, and we okayed it the way it was because we are going to redo the living room floor at some point. We looked the kitchen floor over, and it did look better, and the crew left. Later on, we noticed a coupled of gouges in the vinyl from when the crew was putting our oven back. Later still, I was installing quarter round trim around the walls and cabinets, and I found another tear that had been repaired. Also, there are a couple places, such as door jambs, where floor trim doesn't go. There is sloppy cutting around these, and I'm trying to think of a way to cover them up. I wanted to contact Lamb Brothers about the floor again, but my girlfriend said she just wanted it to be over. It took a while even for her to agree to me writing a review. All-in-all, we had a decent experience with the people in the store. The crew, although pretty rough looking guys, were polite. However, we had two subpar installs in a row. I won't tell you not to get your floor from Lamb Brothers. I think that if we'd gotten a different crew, we might have had a great experience. As it stands, though, we are not happy with our experience from this company.
