Came in with my two boys without an appointment. They were seated within few minutes and received five star service. They even got a scalp and shoulder massage. There's vintage arcade games for kids to keep busy while waiting. Parking is available in the back, we didn't know and parked on the street. They do offer water and other beverages while waiting. Kevin is great and knows exactly what kind of haircut I like for my son. We have been coming here since then. The owner is also very nice and will give some discount and friends discount, just ask when he is there. They are very clean, does shampoo and other services. Had to get a haircut and they were the only place by me open at 8PM. I had to work late and needed a haircut for the weekend and I understand charging a little extra for being open later but $70?? To me that's insane and almost feels like taking advantage of people who work late and need a haircut. Absolutely the worst haircut I've ever received. Asked for the length to be 2"on top and dude basically gave me a scissor buzz cut that left it at 3/4" to 1" patchy and uneven. I could have done a better job myself with a pair of clippers and guards. Sanitation? Not at this place, barber nicked his finger and continued to cut hair with no gloves!! Long time customer here. I've gone here because I can get crispy cuts, cool fades, or more conventional cuts for jobs or special occasions. What does that mean for you, and why 1 star all of a sudden? The owner is a great barber and is somewhat fair. At times he is the only barber on hand working late hours when too many customers expect that he work into the night. He also trains his barbers techniques and styles which has worked out just fine. So male customers expecting lineups and blends can feel confident going in. If that's your thing, swing by. I like supporting businesses and getting to know how they like to work. Up to about 3 years ago that was my impression of how longtime returning customers are treated. I finally decided that I won't return ever. Each of my visits over those 3 years have resulted in overcharges even when we discussed something that he said over the phone or that he has advertised on his flyers, etc. As a longtime customer, it didn't bother me too much but the flat out lies became the last straw. This has occurred whether I call ahead and mention the cut & price or walk in when there is nothing going on. The final visit was when I showed the advertisement that showed a $20ish walk in cut. He agreed and mentioned to his customer that I was a good longtime customer and could fit me in before his appointment that would be an hour later. He then has me in the seat and another walk in comes by. He calls the appointment person after agreeing to the walk in, asks him to come by half an hour later. It's not my business to care how he handles the situation but he keeps mentioning my business with him to complete strangers. Apparently, he lies about me having an appointment when it's in his favor and I'm a walk-in when he can fit in more revenue. I did not prompt any of this mierda but whatever you know- I'm cool. I sit and take the cut which works and I don't ask for any special treatment. I've had this happen several times before. He says next time call in which is admitting that I'm supposed to be getting that $20ish price. He charges me $50 like I got a damn salon cut (which aren't great either.) I am finally seeing how he treats customers in public. So I say, 'Nah, usually I walk by to see if it's packed and if not... haircuts aren't an absolute priority for me. Who cares what my job things about my hair anyway.' He looks at his customer and says 'Appointments are much better. It always gets busy and people want too much.' Wow, nice one. I have 2 sons, 3 and 6. My husband took them for regular haircuts, just a regular buzz cut that anyone could do with one size clippers. They had the nerve to charge us $90 for that. The barber claimed that because he charges more on Sundays. If the business is open I don't understand why he's charging more for Sundays. The prices aren't listed either and charged us way more than what we've paid in the past. The haircut is patchy and I had to ask twice for them to fix certain spots. We won't be returning and I'm disputing the charge with my credit card company. Stay away. Editing to add: After reading other reviews of the shady charging practices, I would agree. Ricardo charges more for appointments but when you walk in he says he charges more for walk ins. My family has been loyal customers for years and it's a shame that greed is ruining his business. During covid we continued to support this business and purchased take home kits and donated when he was closed and struggling. How quickly some people forget. If covid taught us anything it's that haircuts are not essential. We'll be fine until we find a fairly priced and honest barber. read more

Barbers here are amazing and will ask you questions mid haircut about how long/short you want it, if the fade is to your liking whether they need to go higher and cut closer to the skin. They're very personable and do a great job every time! Usually my brother cuts my hair and does a great job but since coming here I've been getting my haircut every three weeks or so. I got a hair cut and beard trim a few days ago, costing $45 each, and I said that I don't want the mustache trimmed at all, yet he trimmed it (a lot) and he made a deep cut when he started, so there was no way to stop it. I called the owner to request a partial refund and he agreed, but only if I drive to his shop and he'll give me cash, because he doesn't want to pay credit card fees. I let him know that I live far and am not able to do that, and he has been repeating that he won't refund my credit card. I'm not sure that's legal, but it's certainly unfortunate. As a side note, the shop had several hungry mosquitoes at the time, who left me with nearly 10 nasty bites. The owner was there briefly when I noticed the bugs, and he said he'd light a repellent candle, but never did. read more

Hérman was amazing, he took the time to explain my haircut. He was patient, informative, and pays attentionto details. Before Covid, I had the same barber for about 10 years. I didn't really know what cut I got. I would just show up and my barber would take care of me. Due to covid my original barber couldn't continue to open because of his health. I visited about 4 barber before I landed with Golden Beard. I hate to ever do this. I went in 12/10 for a haircut. No real wait time but was told that I need to have an appointment really. Was given to a younger barber who this review has no real reflection of, was a cool kid. I don't ask for invasive or crazy haircuts. Simply wanted a clean up on the sides and barely a trim off the top. I do have a beard currently so he asked if I wanted it cut down in size or anything. I said you can just trim the loose hairs at the end. He did the cut, nothing horribly done about it, just a simple fade around the side. The loose ends on the beard he did with the clippers even though they advertise using scissors. He then just cleaned up my face with a single blade, once again not anything that isn't advertised they include with the haircut and which wasn't anything because I told him he didn't have to bring down my beard size or anything, let my beard connected so he didn't haven't shave anything. Service finishes, takes me to the front, instead of ringing it up, the shop owner takes over. Asks him did you shave him, he says yes. He runs the pos and charges me 90 dollars! I ask him why is it 90. He said he did a half shave on you which is 48 dollars and the haircut is 42. I said how did he do a half shave on me and he said because he used the blade. The blade is included in the haircut service, and I didn't have him shave anything. He brought it out and literally just lined up the beard. Didn't shave anything down or trimmed my beard down. I've come before and paid 40 for my haircut and had everything done just like today. The fact that he forced a beard service for no such thing is ridiculous! I get times are hard but to charge some 2 services for doing what you offer in a normal haircut is disgusting. Will make sure everyone I know around this area doesn't fall into getting crooked. read more
