The dental team, Dr. Taylor and a PA, did their best to get my problem resolved, spent quite a bit of time with me setting up my status for a new, registered patient (Full X-rays and history). Their concern for my comfort was exceptional and unexpected - this practice is NOT like most dental practices that I've been to. I also noted that the entire staff, reception, billing, scheduling, assistant and the DMD herself were all smiling and, it seemed, happy to be working there and so welcoming to a new face. I'm sold. Dr. Taylor and her hygienists are open with their processes and explain the steps they're taking well. I've had a cavity filled there and an old filling removed and replaced, and both procedures were so simple and painless. (Routine cleanings are easy and go as they should.) So no pressure getting $$$ extras. I recently got a tooth crown and experienced great results with no pain (my root was fine though, so no drilling for a post needed, and no pressure for that). I had some horribly painful new fillings from another dentist in town (*cough* hack job), and they were causing jaw discomfort. They were not smooth at all, and the fillings were too high, causing issues with my bite. I'd been back three times to have assorted messed-up fillings fixed, to no avail. Dr. Van Dyke's team was super sympathetic and found a small window of time for me the next morning. I came in with my nerves totally shot and feeling a little gaslit, like maybe I didn't actually have problems with my teeth, but I was imagining them at this point. Dr. Van Dyke sat me down, took a look and completely agreed with me. He took what little time he had and fixed my bite, and smoothed out another filling that was bothering me because it was left rough. He noted that the high filling he fixed had left one of my molars loose (!!!!!!!!!) and asked me to come back for a follow up a month later to see if it would "tighten up". All told, he made me feel better that I wasn't crazy AND he fixed the problem for me. I left feeling vindicated, much happier and more at peace with my mouth in general. His staff was so sweet, patient and kind and the office itself is nicely appointed. It's clean and quiet, which is very soothing. This high level of service and concern carries through the rest of the office in every step of the process. Inarguably dental needs for mo st people are among our highest anxiety causing medical procedures. Comprehensive's staff Doctors including Elizabeth Rojas and Andrew Martin and assistants, Trey Ford to name one, are acutely aware and sensitive to this and offer constant reassurance and updates as to what they are doing and timing in the current process. While dental work is costly the expense at Comprehensive is offset by, as is included in their office's name, the provision of comprehensive services, making costly and time consuming referrals unnecessary. I must admit that the extent of procedures currently planned are the result of 30 years of neglect on my part but knowing that all of the work will be carried out by one staff in one location make the experience easier. I waited a few months until I had my finances in order and decided to try another dentist. I had been to this dentist some years ago and found him to be very personable and experienced. I was able to get in a month later due to COVID and their hour changes but, turns out I didn't need the root canal and he fixed the chipped tooth the same day using a cheaper method. Although I did have to go back about a week later to have it fixed, I am waiting for approval for a more permanent solution. But I must say, the service was great, and I am happy that I don't have to walk around missing part of my front tooth as I wait. If you want an experienced dentist that is no nonsense, this is the place. Although the building looks a bit dated, the service is good, the place is clean, his staff and pleasant, and the doctor is definitely hands on, unlike other dentists where the assistance does everything and the doctors spends 10 minutes with you at the end.

The staff was terrific. The dentist spoke to me as if I didn't know what I was talking about. He even argued with me after informing him I had two full hip replacements and was told I would always need to take antibiotics he suggested mouthwash use as a remedy to a throbbing tooth.
