Before commencing work, Rosaria carefully examined our painting and its frame and reported on its overall condition. We learned a lot about our painting, the painter and the techniques he used. She then proposed different treatment options with explanations of the result of each and their varying costs. This enabled us to decide on a course of conservation that would best preserve the painting and suit our budget and plans. Rosaria kept us updated on progress throughout which was very exciting. We are delighted with the finished result which is beyond our expectations. The preserved painting can now be enjoyed by future generations. Throughout the process we found Rosaria very knowledgeable about art history, historical and modern artists' materials, their chemical structure and behaviour and the scientific methods available for examining, restoring and preserving objects of art.
