I drove in from Fort Worth for a performance of THE BOOK OF MORMON on October 9th, 2025. The show was unexpectedly cancelled without notice for "unforeseen "circumstances". I have never been to this venue and can now promise you that I will NEVER darken the door! read more

For a town the size of Abilene, the civic center is a good venue. Lots of room, good a/c, and always some kind of event going on. It's getting an update this year so should be even better. Auditorium is comfortable and has good acoustics. And don't forget the pancake supper every year! read more

We have been here for trade shows and gun shows. This was my first trip into the concert hall. I waited until the day of the Concert. I was in luck, they had seats in all sections. I picked the first row of the balcony. Very helpful ticket sales staff. Concert hall and parking lot filled quickly. We were greeted by smiling faces and hike dour way up to the balcony. The Philharmonic orchestra stated with the Star Spangled Banner, got everyone to their feet. The concert was spectacular! Great seats, great sound. We could pick out individual instruments and could see everything. I'm sold on the seats, and the Orchestra. We will buy season tickets next year. I highly recommend this place. Enjoy! read more

We love seeing a live show. The Convention Center main performance hall has 9 doors that open to the corridors on each side of the hall. During daytime performances, audience members going in a out shines light into the other audience members faces and is a constant distraction. Suggestion, black out curtains in the bright corridors. Doors opening and closing takes away from the enjoyment of the performance. read more

It has been a while since I've been to this location and it's very nice. Great location for events. A very busy place.

my sister always has concerts here. its usually cool inside, temperature wise. the only thing i don't like is they make you wait until just a few minutes before the performance starts to let the crowd into the building. read more
