Symptoms seemed to subside after a week. At the time I was also giving her cranberry juice and d'mannose for urinary track health. Fast forward a week later, as we are driving home from my baby sisters funeral, may daughter begins to vomit in the car. We pull over she has a 104 fever. I call the office and schedule a visit for when we return home (next day). We go to the appointment and AGAIN I'm dismissed when I bring up the UTI and told it is a virus. We see Dr. Ramos's office 3 more times, I call the nurse line as what to do still being pushed as a VIRUS. Well that Friday morning I take her in, her fever is now 107 Dr Ramos FINALLY draws blood and decided to send her to the ER. We get there I tell them I believe she has a UTI and ask them ONCE to check her urine. 10 minus later 4 doctors come in to tell me she has a horrible UTI that has travel to her bladder and kidneys. GO FUGURE. Dr. Ramos NEVER calls or goes to see her as she had a week hospital stay. My husband even lost his job over the hospital stay. Now fast forward to the follow up visit. Dr. Ramos and his wife & two nurses surround me, my children and husband in the exam room. He tells me he doesn't want to see us anymore because I wanted to find a new doctor and that ruined our doctor patient relationship. He even had his daughter reach out to me via Facebook messenger (how professional). He tried to scold me when HE MISDIAGNOSED my daughter and almost killed her. To boot I was sent a bill for the unnecessary week long doctors room visits. Which I paid IN CASH on 3 different occasions and their receptionist never noted in our account. I have called the office multiple times asking the account balance be reflective of the amount paid. They have refused, refuse to return calls and now I have a $400 bill in collections. I also want to add my daughter has LIFE LONG complications now. She suffers from kidney reflux which was induced by the damage done by his negligence. Parents, RUN dont walk out of his office. His is RUDE, condescending and dismisses symptoms for his "natural minded" benefit. I do not want another child to suffer at his hands. I know my daughter isn't the only one as many moms have reached out privately but are too afraid to come public. Well I am not. This is our story, our truth.

Dr. Ramos believes, and so do I, that the vaccination schedule that doctors are told to abide by now a days are severe. (But, still believes vaccinations are important.) The only issues I had ever had while having my son be a patient at his practice, was that Ramos could be a tad critical and harsh. He's a very blunt man who will tell you like it is. Which is very much appreciated and would really take the time to answer any and all questions you have. But, sometimes if you don't agree with him or ask a question that he doesn't like, he would make it known. And also, I have always had the privilege of staying home with my son, so when I told Dr. Ramos that I would want my son to have a vaccination during certain visits, he would usually lecture me and say that since he wasn't in daycare that it wasn't that critical that he have shots now...We didn't see eye to eye on this....But, he would always respect my wishes. I also have always loved the staff, nurses, receptionists, lactation specialist, etc. Which is also a huge bonus! He has a lactation specialist that is in his office certain days of the week and she has her own office inside his practice. So, when I was having issues with my newborn being tongue-tied, making an appointment with the lactation specialist REALLY helped. I am no longer in Savannah, but I strongly recommend Dr. Ramos as your child's pediatrician!!!

First, he slammed my use of Paxil, saying, "of all the anti-depressants it is the worst." According to whom? Yes, it is old school, but I have used it for many years, and it works for me. They still manufacture it, don't they? Next, he practically insisted I have a flu shot, pneumonia shot and shingles shot. I only take the Covid vaccine as I am over 65 and I use Chinese herbs if I feel like I'm getting sick. When I told him he looked at me as if I were nuts. Clearly, he has no knowledge about homeopathic or naturopathic medicines, which in this day and age, I feel a good doctor should know about. The second time I went in I saw his nurse. An elderly woman asked to go ahead of me and they let her! I had another appointment after Docu's, and this made me late and unhappy. He is not a good listener and I felt put down, rather than understood. Their offices are not punctual and play favorites, and this is annoying and unacceptable. I would not recommend his offices.

I find it interesting that the YELP reviews are so clearly polarized. 1 star or 5- no in between- this most definitely shows that something is wrong with the way Dr. Docu runs his practice- and I can attest to that. I am sad that strict policies prevent a doctor from caring about potential patients (customers). Relying on current customers to uphold his good name- that's one way of marketing a business- but policies that drive away potential business are more vastly damaging to reputation and eventually business profitability. I am not a highly educated doctor- just a lowly well-educated citizen that sees something VERY wrong with the way this practice is managed.

Until recently, my experiences have been consistently positive. I have always felt heard, respected, and well cared for. I've been dealing with a recurring cyst/boil on my upper left shoulder for about 10 years. In December 2024, I saw PA Beatriz Bidgood in the Savannah office while in significant pain. She provided excellent care, scheduled a follow-up, and later confirmed that the cyst sac had come out and that the area would heal from the inside out. However, toward the end of December 2025, I began experiencing malodorous drainage from the previously healed site. Even on days without drainage, there was still a concerning odor. I scheduled appointments with Carlie Daniels on January 6th and January 20th. During those visits, she acknowledged the odor and suggested the cyst sac might still be present, despite not feeling anything on examination. I shared that I had been told the sac had already been removed, but she recommended I see a plastic surgeon to get my shoulder cut opened. Following that recommendation, I underwent surgery on March 6th with Dr. Dascomb. The next day, he informed me that there was no cyst sac present and nothing was removed. Three weeks post-op, I began experiencing the same drainage and malodorous smell from the incision site. So I scheduled a post op follow up and was seen yesterday. At my follow-up visit with Carlie in the Pooler office, I left extremely disappointed. My husband and I were interrupted several times by Carlie while trying to explain ongoing concerns. I felt dismissed, discarded and disrespected. At one point, the concern about the odor (which I associate with possible infection) was mocked by Carlie doing air quotes with her fingers. She told us that she could not help me. I was advised to return to my primary care provider, despite my primary being the one who referred me to dermatology in the first place. This has been incredibly frustrating and disheartening. I now have a significant $2,000 medical bill at the plastic surgeon's office and have gone through a painful surgical recovery without resolution of the issue. I believe strongly in this practice based on my long history here, but this experience was not in line with the standard of care I have come to expect. While I will continue with Georgia Skin and Cancer Clinic, I will not schedule with Carlie Daniels again. I understand that she's young and extremely inexperienced in her field, but it blew my mind that she didn't even think to consider having me see Dr. Smith and/or one of her colleagues who may have more experience with cysts than she does. I hope this feedback is taken seriously, as patients trust this clinic for thoughtful, thorough, and compassionate care.

Appointment #1- Saw NP Lizzie and had a mole removed. Lizzie was incredibly friendly however I had anxiety about having the mole removed and asked to come back on a day when I could take an anxiety medication. She said, "I do this to little kids all the time" so I felt guilted to have the procedure done at that time despite having serious anxiety. An appointment was set with Dr. Howington to have a cyst removed. Appointment #2- The receptionist called me the day before to confirm my appointment with Lizzie. I told them my appointment was for a cyst removal with Dr. Howington. They canceled the appointment and told me I would have to reschedule because they couldn't fit me in. Foolishly I did. Appointment #3- I called about a month in advance to confirm my appointment was booked **with Dr. Howington for cyst removal.** The receptionist confirmed that my appointment for cyst removal was scheduled with Dr. Howington at 10:30. I was originally booked for 11:00 which should have been a red flag but I assumed it was an error on my part (LOL). I clarified that I would be taking sedatives and they advised that I would have to have someone drive me. I took 2 days of PTO, took anxiety meds, and arranged a ride to & from the appointment as directed. I was very upset when I was called back into the room and Dr. Howington asked me when I'd like to schedule the procedure THAT I WAS THERE TO HAVE DONE. I told Dr. Howington that I was there to have the procedure and she told me she was booked that day. I broke down and began crying and she told me that she could fit me in but had 6 procedures that she had to perform first. The meds were already begin to wear off, and my ride did not have all day to wait for me. Dr. Howington told me she would refer me to a plastic surgeon which was fine with me because I wasn't about to schedule this procedure with their office yet again. She told me she would fill a prescription for tretinoin as I needed the dose increased and told me she would call the plastic surgeon at lunchtime. My insurance was billed for a consultation that I didn't need or schedule. When I got to the front desk I was still crying and asked what the issue was with inappropriately scheduling my appointment not once but twice. The girl at the desk said, "We've only seen you one other time." I clarified that this was because they canceled my previous appointment the day prior. She replied, "I can't tell you who scheduled the appointment." I didn't say anything but I can. It was you, girl. No apologies, no sympathy, no attempts to rectify the situation- just "You don't owe anything because your insurance covers consultations." I left sobbing. Two days after appointment- I picked up tretinoin from pharmacy and it was the wrong strength. Six days after appointment- Called the plastic surgeon and the office confirmed that they had not received a referral. Low Country Dermatology stated that they sent a referral. Seven days after the appointment- I again picked up tretinoin from the pharmacy and it was the wrong formulation. Going through the anxiety and anticipation of this procedure not once but twice and having absolutely nothing done was horrible. The cyst hurts and I waited months for both appointments because they couldn't fit me in sooner. I have lost 24 hours of PTO, $14 in copays for incorrect prescriptions, and over $300 in unnecessary insurance claims... and I still don't even have a single prescription or referral to show for it. At this point it's obvious that my health is an absolute joke to Low Country Dermatology and that they don't care about me as a patient. This level of "care" demonstrates gross professional incompetence occurring throughout the practice. Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me. Fool me a sixth time? No thanks.
