Absolutely lovely playgroup, the staff are brilliant and my daughter loves it there so much. They follow the curiculem and teach through play. doors open at 9.15 am once inside and all coats and bags are hung up you take your child into the hall where there are 2 tables with names on and a box each childs name is on a piece of card shaped like a petal with velcro on the back. The child then places it on a big flower shaped board and ges signed in. Every day the school runs circle time where each child takes it in turns to chat about something to the others, then snack time which before hand a different child each day gets to help prepare the food eg: lay it on a plate. also each day they have tidy up time where they all sing a song about tidying up and help to tidy the toys before active time where they get the bikes out in the hall as they do ot have a garden, and story time before all sitting on chairs in a circle waiting for mums and dads and to get signed out. They have also just introduced going for walks arround the village in small groups to buy bread from the bakery or to the sea side and one mum has volenteerd to cook with small groups of children once a week.
The school also run a very close relationship with parents getting them involved and informing them of their childs progress and what they have been doing. read more
