I see that the previously posted reviews are from many years ago, so I feel compelled to provide an update. Ms LaRay of 2024 is as magical as ever! She cares deeply for all of the children in her care, and it really shows. She has this uncanny knack of identifying, drawing out, and celebrating each child's unique innate gifts. She is equally impressively intuitive in her individualized approach to daily challenges. She continues to throw epic parties for certain holidays, and her level of creativity and generosity displayed at these events serves as irrefutable evidence of her continued passion, dedication, and love for these tiny humans in her care. Her helper, Ms Elizabeth, has been outstanding as well! If you are thinking about checking out this preschool, I strongly recommend that you refrain from waiting. Her classes can fill up super fast, and there's pretty much no turnover through the year because she's so fantastic. Take it from my firsthand cautionary tale -- I waited, wished, prayed, and hoped for one full year that a spot would open up mid-year, but it was to no avail. I'm profoundly grateful that our turn finally came! Ms LaRay is so naturally nurturing that she sometimes calls the kids by the cutest nicknames. I have heard her call my daughter "Bubble" twice during drop off. And my mama heart soared with joy.

She truly cares about what your child is learning, how they are learning it, and making sure they are having fun doing it. My children both belonged to a different preschool only because the times that Laugh, Play, Learn offered did not work out with my schedule. Had it worked out with my schedule I would have immediately placed them in LaRay's care. I was fortunate, however, to have been able to place them at Laugh, Play, Learn for a semester while I was in school. The preschool that my children were currently at could not take them in on a day that I needed care during the week so LaRay graciously opened up her school to take them in when she was actually closed. LaRay has such a warm, loving, HUGE, heart of gold. Each time I picked them up my kids would be singing about blending words, sight words, and numbers that they learned with LaRay. I noticed that their handwriting skills were so much better on the day that they were with her. SO SO SO much better than the school that they were currently in. I am a student and unfortunately my flexablity is limited. I cannot tell you how often I would stare at my school schedule hoping that there was some way for me to make it fit so that my children could attend LaRay's school. I truly hope that to those of you who are looking for the right school will look the Laugh, Play, and Learn. LaRay offers your child outstanding handwriting skills, a love of science and nature, and math skills where your children know how to count to 100, by 2's,5's, and 10's. Your child will not only learn all of the skills above, but will actually ENJOY learning them and will want to know more. Enroll your child at Laugh, Play, Learn - it is a wonderful way to start their love of learning early. Enrolling your child there will truly be one of the best decisions you will have made for your child.

Our family was so blessed to have found this place and I will forever remember how much peace this women and her staff gave me when I needed it most . The staff are incredibly professional and knowledgeable, there dedication to each child's development is something that really stands out , Stefanie and Michelle are some of the most amazing and kindest providers . The initial two daycares we had put our daughter in was a horrendous experience. Then comes Mila - literally our answered prayer. My husband and I cannot express enough how grateful we are that we were able to be lucky enough to find her to care for our little babe. The amount of love and care that she gives all her kids is just like walking into a grandmother caring and loving all her grandchildren. It was insane seeing how much my daughter was learning while at Mila's - she went from being the only and youngest child to now "the boss" LOL. We are so sad to be leaving Mila but we know our time here was such a wonderful experience. Absolutely loved that she would send pictures daily and loved that my daughter was getting exposed to new foods weekly! I could go on and on about our AMAZING experience with Mila Ma - if you are so lucky to get a spot don't hesitate - she is an ABSOLUTE GEM!

She was still figuring out how…read moreto talk, not a big talker, she was still in her diapers , but did know to go to the bathroom by herself. For the first few weeks, she would cry every single day at the door, not wanting to leave mommy and daddy, and go to a place where she did not know anybody. She was not overtly social at the time, and took time to make friends / interact. Within a couple months, we had her going from not wanting to go to school, to cant wait to go to school. Ms Cecilia and Ms Karina both of them took care of all the kiddos with a lot of love care and affection. Ensuring they eat their food on time. Initial month or so was tough, as she was used to be fed at home, but over time she figured out that nobody is going to feed her and she needs to finish her lunch box by herself. And she did start eating over time. She was always a picky eater so we had take care of that but otherwise it was all good. The schedule of schhool is good, with a circle time in the morning, followed by some play time out side, a class, and then lunch, a nap time, followed by another playtime, artwork and then finally its time to go home. This is high level - it does change a bit. They have a Monday bring a book (on a specific theme) and Friday bring an object (starting with letter of the week) and those objects are needed to share. They use an app called ProCare for checkin and checkout, and for sharing any special moments/photographs. As well as any notices. Kids celebrate their birthdays in class with a special ritual and its fun. Parents are allowed to be in school during the kiddo's birthday too. They have parent teachers conference where your childs progress is talked through in a Montessory based style. In the second year, Ms Elaihi - we were told by many friends was on the stricter side. And we were like YES, we do want a strict teacher :). Our daughter at 3 definitely needed one. But honestly Ms Elaihi is one of the most loving and caring teachers, and my kiddo loved her a lot. Finally you go into third year, and we have Ms Coleen, we now are into the big kids area where Ms Collen helped our kids with academics, and very soon we had these babies who could not talk or eat on their own, or go to bathroom, now learning about math, and learning to read by themselves, and finishing 2-3 workbooks. She really is an Ace teacher with an decade+ experience and we were truly blessed to have her teaching the 3rd year and my 4-5y daughter loved being in her classroom learning all these awesome things. Overall all these 3 years, we also had Ms Varsha who is every parents confidant to help in matters big and small. And finally Ms Sheetal was also always there to support us all through - esp in times of need. We had lots of gatherings on Easter, Mother/Father days, Chinese new year, Diwali, Halloween, Christmas and many more. They also have a fun summer program where kids are asked to come with diferent clothing/objects. Overall we loved being part of this school for the three years we were here, we never felt like a school - parent relationship, and it was more of a small close knit family. And we would highly recommend to any parent trying to find a school for their baby in this neighborhood.

The staff is very friendly and extremely caring yet focused on building right characters in the students. The school also excels in early education that helped my son be ahead of his kindergarten curriculum (alphabets, 3 letter word/sight words, addition/subtractions) My son joined OTRM right in the middle of COVID after spending almost 2 years at home without much social contact. Ms. Cecelia (2's class) and Ms.Yira (currently Ms. Karina supports Ms. Cecelia) helped my son get over his fear and social-anxiety and he is now leaving Ms. Coleen's class (4-6 class) as a so-called "Social Butterfly". In between, Ms. Elaheh (3-4 year class) tremendously helped him build social skills and he still has a special bond with her. Ms. Varsha (Director) oversees the school with Ms. Sheetal (owner) with a strict-yet-kind touch of her own. For all these reasons, when it came to making a decision about where to send our second son, the choice was easy for us. It's OTRM for 3 more years for us. :)

There are two toddler classrooms with 24 students each with 2 primary teachers and one floating teacher per classroom. Coming from a home-based daycare, the transition was challenging and it took him around two months to adjust. During that period, I had hoped for a little more support from the teachers to make drop-offs smoother. Communication & Feedback: One of my biggest concerns was the limited communication. Updates through the Procare app were infrequent, and direct feedback from teachers was minimal. I wasn't expecting daily notes, but even a short weekly summary about how he was doing--both socially and academically--would have been very valuable. Since the program follows a Montessori style, children are encouraged to choose their own work, which can be great for independent learners. However, for my son, who is quieter and sometimes needs encouragement, I felt he did not receive as much of a gentle nudge as he could have. Many teachers seemed overextended, which may have contributed to this. Safety & Care: There were two instances where my son returned hurt. In one of the instances it was a teacher's direct oversight. What concerned me most was the lack of proactive communication--we only learned about it after asking. For me, this was a significant gap in accountability and transparency. What We Appreciated: - Hot lunch everyday. - Very bright and clean classrooms. I liked the way all the montessori jobs are arranged around the classroom - Multi age group class - Ms Joyce is very friendly and truly has the best intentions for the kids in mind. Overall, this daycare may work better for independent children who thrive in a Montessori environment, but for quieter kids who need extra encouragement, it might not be the best fit. The lack of consistent communication and limited encouragement for less assertive kids were ongoing challenges for us.

Yes, with all the guilt I felt, I felt strongly and needed to start providing for myself and my little one. So I was referred to this place when my 3 year old was having a hard time adjusting being away from both my partner and I. Angel and Gio are rockstars! They have been a blessing to myself and my little one who continues to grow more knowledgeable. Every time I drop him off, he's already rushing to go inside or reaching for Gio to carry him. It's the sweetest thing to see him attached to another individual outside of myself or my partner. They are as more involved with my child's upbringing than myself. And that's okay. I know in the long haul for development purposes that this was the right choice. They were reasonable and extremely flexible with us. I would recommend this place 1000% over and that's because they send me memos, notes, lovely pictures of how my child is doing. Always updating me and ensuring that I'm involved with things that could help with his development. They go above and beyond to ensure your child is always getting the best out of their day, with play time, healthy home cooked meals and ensuring they at least get 30-1hr worths nap and I just don't know how they do it all, but they do because they are compassionate human beings who love our little one and you could totally tell by the way they handle their daycare. Lots of love towards these two!

We have been part of this incredible school since September of 2018, when my older daughter was just a year and a half old. She went through the 2/3's class twice due to her young age. The second time around, I was pregnant with my second daughter, and the director changed to Stefanie Zoccoli, who had been Priya's original 2/3's teacher. I could never find the words to adequately express just how incredible Stefanie is. She is deeply passionate, loving, endlessly creative, energetic, bright, devoted, and more! It has been the greatest joy to watch her teach and direct the school. When it came time for 3/4's, we were dealing with the pandemic. Stefanie didn't skip a beat! She put together the most creative packages for us to pick up and use during Zoom sessions. They were filled with experiential learning activities. Zoom was far from ideal for 3/4's, but Stefanie blew us away with her creativity. Our older daughter was able to return to the gorgeous campus for Pre-K, and she had the best year! Stefanie was her teacher, and everything was glorious! Our little one attended 2/3's with Ms. Kaitlin, who was also a wonderful teacher. Since we are moving on to a kindergarten in San Jose, we won't be able to send our little one to MHPCNS. I will always treasure the many days spent at that idyllic co-op preschool, and will be forever grateful for Stefanie, Kaitlin, and all of the wonderful parent volunteers who loved and nurtured my children.
