While it is a small school, there are different sports options so the students can learn teamwork and experience being a part of something. Despite the small class size they accept exchange students each year giving the students exposure to various cultures from around the world while giving the exchange students exposure to our culture and to teaching from the Bible. Anchored is the only accredited private high school in the area. They offer an excellent curriculum that leads to higher test scores on average than a public school. While the test scores are higher, everything in the curriculum is geared toward the testing like it is in a public school, taking stress off the students and the teachers. They also participate in a year academic competition against other private schools in the state and with the first place submissions getting the opportunity to go to a national competition. I attended and graduated from Anchored and my son attended Anchored for most of his school years. I would highly recommend it to anyone, especially if you want you child to have an education that includes the Bible or if you are tired of your child getting lost in the shuffle in the public school system.
