I would said this church use to be the cathedral of Arles. Their cloisters constructed at late 12 century. The cloister has beautiful columns with decoration that tell the Jesus story. The room next to it is a museum. The ceilings of the corridor are beautiful. The church has nice altar and sub compartment area. It is nicely done. The visit only take one hour.

A lot wealthy people buried here. It is consider a popular site to buried. It is a large Roman necropolis. Where necropolis is defined as city of dead. It was popular that they ship some dead from other place to here from sea. Onetime it was buried in thee layer. Since it is wealthy people graves, these grave rob and dug out for the items that buried with them. When you visited this place, you will see a lot of empty coffins due to the same reason was robed. The coffins line up like a street straight line and lead to the chapel behind. This place is part of UNESCO world heritage site. There was a bishop buried here and his relic is now removed to a church nearby. van Gogh and Paul Gauguin have come to this place to draw the graveyard side by side. But it was use by Archbishop of Avignon. The inside has little decoration. It is functional as a church. Not much more. The garden of Rocher des Doms is just next to the cathedral.
