There is plenty of picnic bench style tables outside with shaded options available (dogs however can only be in one half so make sure you check before getting comfy) so it's ideal for groups and families. It even has a small play area for the wee ones to keep them occupied. The menu has plenty choice, everything from salads (€10ish) to traditional ham and cheese plates (€8ish each) and Spanish tortilla (again about €8) which are great for sharing, to individual meat and fish main plates which are pricier. Service is a bit slow; took easily 10 mins to get menus after sitting down and another 10 to take drinks orders. Not many servers have good English unfortunately so we found ordering a bit tricky; 8 cerveza por favor is our limit ha! The food itself came out quickly however, as and when it was ready and portions were a good size so we left with full and happy bellies!

WORTH GOING TO SPAIN FOR!…read more By far the best Tapas bar I have been to in Spain and on par with some of the best gastronomic experiences I have ever had! Although I do admit that this statement is limited as I haven't been to many Spanish Tapas bars, but as I know good food, and I know that with every bite I was amazed at how delicious it was. It's that sort of experience: Where you find yourself wishing you'd eaten far more slowly and savored each bite, potentially putting less on each fork to draw the experience out for longer. That it nearly trumped the desire to travel as we discussed staying in the area just so we could come back the following day, however having flight commitments found this impossible. That might encourage us to take another holiday including specifically this area.... VERY soon! That encroaches on your dreams. I wouldn't recommend the Patas Bravas (chips with a horrible tomato sauce) or the Gamas al Ajillo (these prawns were tiny and whilst tasty weren't up to par with the other food), however I'd happily recommend (and re-order) every other plate. Each plate came in 3 sizes, tapa, medium/half or full plate and they do have an English menu if you need it. My favourite three: The whitebait was amazing. Mushrooms with garlic moreish. However the Presca Iberica was outstanding, two little pork fillets perfectly cooked with a Iberica ham slice between; Mouth-watering and divine! At 27.50 (EURO), or just over £20 for two which included 6 beers (1 EURO each), this was absolutely amazing. The service was great, although we did sit at the bar which meant a rather informal meal, but that we could order as frequently as we liked. If you are in the area I'd recommend you make that you swing by and come here.

We sat on the bar side, which was very nice and opened into the restaurant side where they had several tables, an open wood burning fireplace and open kitchen. They have an English menu and so many choices that our bartender made some recommendations for us. We started with their pumpkin soup as well as their Maimones, which is a garlic and onion soup. Essentially French onion without the cheese. Both delicious. Then we had cucurucho (fried fish), black pudding mollete, spinach and pine nut croquettes, patatas payoyas (goat cheese creamed over potatoes and for the grand finale the peloncilla. It was all delicious, but the peloncilla, roasted pork in butter served on garlic toast, was one of the best things we've had on our trip. A nice man, maybe an owner or manager, came out and told us about his family history on the peloncilla and the maimones and then proceeded to give us recipe cards printed up for both. He and our bartender were so friendly and welcoming. This is the first choice that populates on yelp and for that we are extremely grateful. The perfect tapas for us in Antequera. Also, all of that and 4 glasses of wine for $35 euros...super value. We loved everything and highly recommend.

We randomly found this place after roaming around the town and on our way out to another place…read more Hungry and thirsty, we decided to have a quick bite here, an early lunch. We ambled in and looked at the tapas selection on display and immediately ordered 3 of the plates, x 3, for the three of us. They came out pretty fast and as we were waiting for them, I noticed a plate of fried eggplant drizzled with honey (pr molasses) on the menu. My friend had been saying for a few days it was a specialty of Andalusia, and there it was. So we added that to the order. Our waiter was friendly, from Uruguay, and he conversed a bit with my friend from Argentina. Our drinks came out, just two liter bottles of water, and then our tapas. We had artichoke hearts, a tuna and tomato dip and an octopus and potato dish. And the berenjenas con miel (the eggplant). All were excellent, completely hitting the spot, but the crown probably went to the berenjenas. I added a bit more salt to mine to accentuate the contrast of sweet and crispy, but was great without. Then we had 3 espressos and 2 desserts, a spanish style cheesecake and a 3 chocolate cake. We had looked at the tapas menu and figured without thinking much about it we'd be paying about $55 euros total. When the bill came we were shocked! We called over the waiter and asked him if a mistake was made. No, it was correct. We had been looking at the prices on the menu for a full sized dish, not the tapas sized ones we had, to accompany a drink. The total - $17.5 euros. For everything! Unbelievable. We were staggered. Even my friend who lives there couldn't believe it. Granted we did not order alcohol, for which they charge more, but that is also cheap in Spain and might have added only 50% more to the bill at most if we had had 2 beers each. So, to be clear, the tapas cost .50 euros each. That is all. Our 2 desserts cost more than the food. And in Spain, tip and tax is included in the total. So you don't have to add anything. I don't know how a joint survives on prices like that, but that's Spain. We left some more euros to the total for a tip regardless and told them we'd be back and we'd tell our friends. So there, go!
