Stay away from this place. I should have walked right out when he said I needed to pay in advance. I went in for a new belt and he said it needed cleaning and servicing. It was an older Royal high end vacuum so I said fine. I gulped at the $100 cost but, whatever... When I picked it up my ticket said no warranty on the work. Again, no choice but to pick it up and hope for the best. Meanwhile he was trying to sell me other vacuums in the shop. I got the vacuum home and it is dead. We took it back and he said "I told you not to put any money into this." Rude and inappropriate. I took my mother's sewing machine in to have the needle clamp replaced. The man working there said it would cost $99.00 even though I had the part. I thought that was expensive so I left it. A week later my mother decided to bite the bullet and take it in. She was chatting to the man while he looked at the machine and she mentioned that my dad had recently passed away. He then told her it would cost her $250.00 to repair. When she said she couldn't afford that, he said "well didn't you get insurance money from your husband's death benefit? I used to go to a vacuum repair place off of Jamboree. We went there and they were trying to get me to buy a different vacuum and basically told me to just buy one from Costco. (Huh?) I had just purchased this vacuum and it was doing great so I decided to not donate it. My boyfriend found THIS location and we went in-apprehensively. The owner was absolutely fantastic and grateful for the business! It was such a change of pace that I have really missed in businesses especially small business! First time at AAA, Greg was trying to upsell another customer, when I was there to pick up the Miele ( expensive) I had purchased. I was totally ignored. Very rude. I had to wait 10 to 15 minutes to be acknowledged. The next time I needed vacuum service I went to another dealer. I recently needed just a belt for a vacuum, so I thought AAA is close so I went their and the same thing happened. He was involved in a PERSONAL conversation with a customer that was just leaving. When I walked in I was not acknowledged. No, "I will be with you in a minute" or any interest in ending the personal conversation. Then he charged me $19 for ONE belt that I came home and looked up on Amazon for $8.99 for 2 belts. I am through with AAA and rude Greg. read more

Greg, the owner took my Miele vacuum back to his bench to inspect it and he INSISTED that I not follow him. When Greg brought the Miele back out it was completely dead and he said it would cost me $399.99 to fix it!!! Greg disconnected something in my vacuum causing it not to work thinking that I would leave it with him to be repaired. Wisdom told me that Greg was trying to rip me off and that I should not do business with him. I left with my Miele and went to an awesome repair shop not far from his and got my Miele serviced and repaired for HALF the amount that Greg at AAA Vacuum and Sewing wanted to charge me. I suggest that you not do business with this guy. Both Miele and Sebo have pulled the rights for Greg/AAA Vacuum and Sewing to sell their vacuums because they have received numerous complaints about him and how he rips off his customers. At first, I thought this place was the bomb, in a good way. Come to find out, that not only was a I sold a used vacuum with wires slightly exposed on the cord which the owner happened to have in the bathroom that he used regularly, but made me a great deal on it!. When I took it in recently for a review to AAA Vacuum in Tustin, I was told by the owner, after I stood outside for 10 minutes because of his year-long Covid restrictions and you can't just walk in (get over it already), that I would have to pay up front for service before he would accept it. Mind you, he said it would be $129 for the service and it needed a new belt at an extra charge of $20, I think. I declined and took it to a darling little vacuum shop in Lake Forest that has been there for 20 years! Walking back in time heading in for sure. I dropped it off and called to inform I needed service, remove the clog, AND THE WIRES WERE PARTIALLY EXPOSED, so for $130, I got the service done, new cords, no belt was needed!!!!!! and the clog was no more. I wish I could lower more the rating, here is my experience with AAA Vacuum & Sewing, I brought my Riccar vacuum to be repair, was out of warranty and they call me to with an estimate of about $300 to repair it, telling me that a new motor has to be in the install and they happen to have a refurbished one, I thought it was absolutely expensive and wanted to have a second opinion so I brought my Vacuum to a different place, it was repair for $20, The technician that fix it said there was nothing wrong with the motor. I can't believe how AAA Vacuum over charge with repairs. I called back AAA and told them how disappointed I was, and how betrayed it I felt from the place where I used to buy my vacuum supplies. I went into this shop last week because my Eureka vacuum stopped working...it would only suck from the hose and not from the base of the vacuum (hold your jokes please). I bought my vac in and spoke to Greg (the owner?)...I told him what was going on and I mentioned I thought it might be the carpet/floor switch that wasn't engaging properly...he took it in the back for about 5 minutes and came back out and said it was the switch which would be $39.95 to fix and also that I needed it serviced which was $49.90 (including a filter which he told me cost almost $30.00 itself). So I thanked him and left with my vacuum thinking that was too much, but if there was no other solution, I would go back. So I get home and tip it over to take a look and almost immediately I notice that a belt is broken and hanging out. I took the belt off and went to a local hardware store...they happened to have a Eureka belt in stock of the same size for like $15 bucks, so I went home and installed it myself (it took a screwdriver and about 3 minutes)...turned the vacuum on and of course it works wonderfully. I am extrememly disappointed that this dick head tried to pull a fast one on me...having his busines in Tustin for 10+ years, you'd think you would be able to expect honest service. I called him the next day and gave him quite the mouthful. The Better business bureau might also get a little note from me. DO NOT TAKE YOUR VACUUM HERE, they definitely provide the wrong kind of SUCK. read more

He quoted me about $180 to fix the main motor on my older Bissel vacuum. Fine, okay. I was REALLY thrown off by how he wanted me to pay before the service was complete. I don't know any place that works like that...but I had two fussy kids, so I couldn't question it. I wanted it done with. He said it would be done in about 5-10 business days. It has now been almost a month. I checked in the thing on April 26. And it's now May 20. Absurd. And we have to keep calling him...he's too busy to call us apparently with updates or anything. I brought my Bissell vacuum into AAA Vacuum despite the reviews- the shop is on my way to work. I am sure glad I did. I go through vacuums like nobody's business because of our cats- I tend to buy the cheap ones and use them til they break. This time, I bought a higher end Bissell, and didn't want to throw it away when it stopped suctioning as well as I thought it should for the money. The owner was the nicest guy! He took one look at it, opened everything up and got a big glob of cat hair out of the bottom where the hose attaches. Good as new, and he was totally cool about the price. Since there was nothing broken, he just cleaned it up and charged me a very reasonable price to detail it. With pets, you really need a quality machine, and when this thing goes to the big vacuum graveyard in the sky, I will be going back to this shop to get a good vacuum. I brought my dyson in to have the hose replaced after there was a small tear in it, the owner took a "complimentary" look at it and then said the hose $50 and HEPA filter $30 needed to be replaced and it needed to be serviced or cleaned for $80. I agreed to the hose and filter but I had just cleaned the brush myself and felt it didn't need the service. After he replaced the HEPA filter and I brought it home I saw a sticker on the front of my dyson which says "lifetime HEPA filter, no replacement filter costs". I called the owner back after seeing the sticker placed by dyson and his response was that the filter was gray and he thinks it should be replaced every two years because of burn off from the motor. I felt that he was a little dishonest by not informing me of all of this in the first place. read more

Oh how I wish I had read the reviews here before taking my vacuum cleaner in. I have a relatively new Bissell vacuum, very much still under warranty. The vacuum worked very well except for the stairs attachment. I brought it in thinking that this is obviously something minor wrong with the stairs attachment. And that as a Bissell service center they could fix it or replace it. After some very fast talking he ("Greg" owner?) convinced me that it just needed to be cleaned and unforunately that isn't covered under warranty. He opened the unit and showed me the internal filter. It was a dark gray, but didn't look or feel dirty. He said "That is supposed to be white." He asked how the vacuum was being used and I replied that it was used vacuuming low carpet and tile in a residential house once or twice a week. He said there was something in our house that was causing dust to clog the system while showing me dust inside the unit. After being assured that cleaning and $60 would fix it, which needed to be paid, in advance. I went home. I came back the next week to pick up my repaired/cleaned vacuum cleaner. Given that the unit was to be cleaned and that the problem was supposedly dust in the system, I expected the unit to be relatively clean. Absolutely not. It looked absolutely the same, inside and out, as when I left it. INCLUDING THE FILTER! This filter which was supposed to be white, is indeed normally dark gray. I was completely taken in by a con man. I cannot caution you too much. Do NOT trust this individual! Oh! And I almost forgot. On the way out he offered to give me a deal on one of the vacuum cleaners he had on sale. Giving me $40 for my new Bissell Healthy Home Upright Bagless Vacuum. First time here but not the last! Greg rocks! His friendly, down-to-earth attitude is so refreshing in this day of robotic and scripted customer service. He didn't so much as fix my Bissell cleaner as politely educate me why the rollers weren't rolling by pulling gently back on the handle and voila! Rollers rolled. After a bit of ego check, I enthusiastically and gratefully thanked him. Normally, he would charge for a service like this, but he graciously said no charge. I bought some cleaning solution and stain remover from his large selection and on his advice after describing a pesky stain on my carpet.
