The Home Depot (where we were supposed to pick it up) did not have our truck ready and we were left waiting for 2 hours. From when we arrived and were waiting, they promised it would be there "within 15-20 minutes," yet no one knew what was going on, where the truck was coming from, and where it was. I spoke on the phone with a Penske rep who apologized but could not give an explanation as to why our truck was not there. She just told me to keep waiting. She did refund me $30 for wasting TWO HOURS of my time, my family's time, and the hired movers' time. I will not be using them again, especially at the rates that they charge.

I have mixed emotions on this one. It's not every week that you need to rent a truck but when you…read moredo, if you're like me, you have a designated time frame to begin and end. Unfortunately, things don't always go as you plan and this came into play more than once with this customer. To start off, I reserved a 26' truck three days in advance to make sure there was one available at 7am (bad experience in the past at another place). Anyhow, I arrived at 6:50 and was the first in line. Within 5 minutes, a second person showed up. By 7:10 still no employees. Around 7:15 the GM arrived, he did apologize for his tardiness and we moved on. This has already set be behind but no big deal, we will be alright. During my wait for an employee, the other customer called the number on the door for the regional manager and it went to some guy that was not affiliated with uhaul. Lol. Don't call him. The GM is very laid back with no personableness about him. It's straight monotone and business. Anyhow, I was expected to have the truck back by closing (7pm). At 6pm, I realized I wasn't going to make it and called them to let them know. They ended up extending me 12 hours at no charge even though I was only going to be a couple additional hours. When I finally did arrive and locked up and dropped the key, I turned around to see that I had left the park lights on the truck. Unfortunately, this particular truck didn't have an auto shutdown and as far as I know we're going on all night or until the battery died. I did send a text to the GM who's cell number is on the door (hopefully it was the right one). I never received a text back nor did I receive a charge the next day which I expected for my mistake. All in all, it was a good experience and they really did do me right. I would recommend using this location.

I notified my agent within a couple days of having, GMC Acadia, had issue/s. The tires are ball. I advised her because of handling issues and roaring noises, my attention was drawn to the tires. Feb. 17, 2025, she said she would have a replacement for me in the class. Also, I advised given work schedule, time is of essence. She informed she would be out a couple days, especially Feb. 18, but everything would be in place. I show up to be informed by the gentleman at the this nothing has been setup in my group, plus the only accomodation/s is a pickup or I can go to the airport. I advised I wasn't able to go out to the airport and it would be in Avis best interest to make accommodations given the situation of releasing a vehicle with balding tires. The rep didn't even want to look at the tires, just brushed it off with I will take your word. Glad I was driving this a couple of days ago when it was raining like crazy. Location is now under Avis Rental.

I had to call cooperate office and wait 20 mins for someone to arrive. My destination was a Greensboro NC location. I received a call at 5:30pm telling me my drop off location changed. I called the new drop off location to see if I could drop off at my original location, which was closer and was told yes. At 6:45 I drop off the truck at the original location and tried to check in on the app. The app did not have the updated location (Original location) listed. So I couldn't drop it off. I called cooperate office and was told if I drop it off at a location not designated on my invoice I would be charge a hefty fee. So after waiting on the phone for 45 mins going back and forth I had to drive another 21 miles to the location designated on my invoice. Now this has created an extra mileage and convince fee charges.Not to mention its 90 degrees and the entire process was not convent. I would not recommend using this company to save a few dollars. The end result is that you pay more....... Frustrated!
