Love the work these guys do downtown. Always friendly, always consistent and always reliable. Things get done and they get done well. Love their electronics reports they give you on the car. Their prices are great and they don't pressure you to get more work done on your car. I appreciate that, if you like good customer service (I think we all like that ) this is a great place. They value the customer and make you feel important. The facility are clean and central to a lot going on downtown and right across from the main library (gorgeous building by the way) so there are plenty of great options if you wait while they fix your car. Good coffee options too nearby. They have a TV and coffee in the waiting room and you can get tires at this facility too. I made an online appointment to have my truck looked at because of a belt squeal, I needed their estimate before deciding on the pricing. My Appointment is 6-3-2025 at 10:30 am. It took me a week to get approval from my work to take time off to drop my car off and see what this is going to cost me. We got there right on time, as appointment times are important to MAKE. It's rude not to honor your appointment time ON time. I had first read several reviews on this particular shop at 3rd Street, one review was that they set you an appointment time, and when you get there, they tell you it's gonna be at least two days before they can even LOOK at the car. This is what happened to me just a few minutes ago, It is 10 50 am and I am already home and my car is sitting at Webers Auto On Linden being looked at for an estimate ( they will call me and we will go from there as far as service) The gentleman behind the counter at AAA 3rd Street was as kind as he could be even though I was frustrated. I asked Why would they set an appointment and not honor it? I took time off work and changed my schedule somewhat to make this appointment that AAA granted me. This cost me money! I felt sorry for the man behind the counter. "What do you want us to do? He said. Because he is in a position where some computer sets you an appointment regardless of how busy the shop is, knowing they are not staffed to look at cars that are scheduled to be looked at. I think the powers to be at AAA should consider doing away with the scheduling system online. There are many complaints about this same issue, customers taking time out of their day per the appointment set by AAA, only to be met with another appointment two days later. It also puts your staff in a bad spot because they have to explain it to someone standing at the counter who is likely annoyed. After all, they did have an appointment! I expected them to look at my car and give me an estimate, and that I would possibly have to wait a few days for them to fix it. He told me it would be at least Thursday before they could even look at it to give me an estimate. Not only that, they wanted to keep my car there until they could look at it, as opposed to calling me when they did have a slot to look at it. I didn't want my car sitting in the lot Downtown Dayton to get broken into, like several other reviewers have had happen there. You put your customer and your Staff In a bad spot by not being able to honor scheduled appointments. I told him if I had known that you couldn't even give me an estimate for a few days, I would have never come here. I gave him a polite NO, Thanks, and walked out and went to Weber on Linden, who were also very busy. I went in with no appointment, told him I needed an estimate, and he told me they could get the estimate today, but it would be at least Friday before they could get it in for service, which is exactly what AAA should have done. The online scheduling you have is not working! I feel like I should be compensated for my time off work and travel time for making the appointment YOU set for me, and your failure to honor it. Customers do not like to hear Sorry it'll be a few days, when they have an appointment! You should do away with that online scheduling shit! read more

I absolutely do not recommend this company for any services PERIOD!!! I brought my vehicle to this company for a specific oil problem. I was charged $2300 to fix the problem, for the problem not to be resolved. When I took my vehicle back to this company eleven days later to express my dissatisfaction, the manager ANDREW, stated that he found a different oil leak that was not found previously. Andrew stated that he would speak with upper management and the technicians to resolve problem, this situation started in mid December, it is now mid February with no resolution. read more

I took my car in for an oil change yesterday at the time of my appointment. although I was told this job would take 1-1.5 hours, it ended up taking over 2.5. Which is fine if the manager (Andrew I think) I talked to was honest about timing. When I asked how much more time they needed, he said 10 minutes. 30 Minutes go by and I look into the garage where they're working on my car and I see they had just started my oil change. This can be a 15 minute job.... After another 15 minutes go by I begin to explain my frustrations. If this was going to take almost 3 hours I would have left it there for the day. the manager proceeded to interrupt me and say "awwwwwww I'm sowwy" in baby talk and exclaimed that they took a break at 10 from working on my car to eat biscuits. This same manager (Andrew) also told me "your butt is about to vibrate" when he texted the diagnostics report to me. I am an ADULT female. If I was a male I think I would have been treated differently. The way he talked to me was demeaning and inappropriate. I'd rather change my own oil than deal with people like this. read more

I have taken my car here a few times for tire issues and other repairs, and I have to say they are as honest as they come. In the past, they have patched my tire when they could easily have sold me a new one, they've been prompt and friendly and their work has been solid. And this week, when my transmission went, they encouraged me to call Ford and make sure the car wasn't under some kind of special warranty (even though it is too old to still be covered by the standard one). We are from Georgia and our college aged daughter's car broke down on the hwy in Dayton on a recent trip. AAA towed the car to this station very late on a Friday night. When we realized the shop was not open on Saturday, we called Charles at another local AAA Tire & Auto Service shop. Charles was very helpful and immediately called the manager of the 3rd St. location, Chris, who immediately agreed to drive to the closed shop on his day off to help my daughter! Chris made a quick assessment of the issue and then coordinated with AAA to have the car towed to another garage that could make the repair on a Sunday. Charles and Chris both gave us INCREDIBLE service- way above and beyond!! Especially meaningful to us was Chris's honesty regarding the issue- it ended up being a small issue that could be fixed for around $200. I HIGHLY recommend Tony Shook and his team at AAA Tire & Auto Service - I noticed my tire was low on Sunday night, so I put air in it. When I went to leave for work on Monday, it was almost completely flat. With my schedule, I knew it was going to be tough to make it to any tire service center before closing. But AAA Tire & Auto is located conveniently in downtown Dayton. I stopped in hoping that they could help and had one of the best experiences. There is ample parking, the waiting area is very nice, and within five minutes of giving them my keys, they identified a broken belt in my tire.
