Our wind mitigation was sold to a company that billed for structure but we were already paying for structure. Her fabulous coworker, Melanie, is an incredible assistant. I will finally have ONE policy without being an orphan in the system! I can't thank HIG enough for having a local business that cares.

Mixed feelings here...on the one hand, they have been able to find me a lower price for my…read moreinsurance needs than other insurance agencies. On the other hand....I have felt like I need to be my own insurance agent as I have repeatedly found errors or oversights on their part that would cost me $ if not corrected. It's like they just don't pay enough attention and if I wasn't reading the documents and asking questions I would have spent a great deal more for insurance over the years than I needed to be. So I guess I would just say to everyone to be sure you read those documents, are getting credit for those things that should reduce your premiums and make sure you are paying for only what you really need as far as coverage or it will cost you!

Anyone living in Florida understands buying insurance for anything in Florida is challenging,…read morewhether it's auto, homeowner, gap policies, etc. I'm not one who makes quick decisions when dealing with my insurance needs and I always do my own due diligence prior to making a decision to change providers. When I tried bundling all my insurance needs and found my former insurance carrier would not offer homeowner's insurance in Florida which would enable me to bundle my auto insurance with my homeowners insurance to get the best coverage and rates available I knew it was time to shop them even though I had been with this insurance provider for over 25 years. I've been knowing Buddy for more than a decade and although he never solicited to get my business he has always answered any questions I've had and offered his team to help educate me and provide any information I was interested in. Once I was ready to look at different options I contacted Laura Bruno at Buddy's office and started the process, and although it would take some time for me to look at all my insurance needs Laura continued to support me by answering all my questions and provided me with comparison quotes after reviewing my existing coverages. After a few months I was ready to change providers and even though there was a gap between our last conversation she immediately picked up where we left off and walked me through the process to ensure all my insurance needs were met and actually increase my coverage while providing me with some substantial savings. I am extremely grateful for the support the team at Buddy Davenport State Farm Agency provided during what can be a somewhat stressful process. Their patience, exceptional communication and follow-up far exceeded my expectations. I am confident I made the right decision to switch Insurance providers, Laura made sure that I completely understood all my policies and coverages before I made my final decision and assisted me through the transition to cancel my policies from my other providers to ensure I had no gaps in coverage. If you have some concerns with your current coverages and insurance provider you should definitely review your insurance needs and look to this team to help you. Buddy Davenport State Farm Agency definitely provided a five star experience...

I have had two amazing stories with this Insurance Agency…read more The first time interacting with Todd Perry, we had been non renewed by our homeowners insurance carrier and couldn't get coverage with our prior agent due to the age of our roof. After many attempts with our previous agent, I contacted Todd and within two days he found us a policy and was able to get us insured saving us $1000s of dollars. Because of the great customer service and help he gave us we went back to the agency to get a car insurance quote. This time I dealt with Brittany Johnston and once again was very pleased with her very friendly customer service and professionalism. We saved $100s off our former rates. I highly recommend this agency to my family, friends, and anyone on yelp looking for a great customer friendly team.

I received a call from Perry's office implying that I needed to send them a declarations page from my new policy or they couldn't cancel my insurance. That's a 100% lie. I asked if that was a legal requirement and they fessed up that no, not a legal requirement BUT if I sent it they may match my new rate! Sounds like they've been gouging me for years and could have charged less all that time but wouldn't unless I threatened to drop them. Wow. Not an outfit I'm interested in giving my money to.
