A Summer Place has a wide selection of clothing of great quality. The prices are steep but worth every penny. Every sweatshirt that I have bought in the last decade has lasted through many washes, provided that I use the gentle cycle and hang it out to dry. The owner Kurt is very welcoming to everyone who walks in. He is so informative, professional and friendly. Today he helped me pick a sweatshirt color---baby blue, which flatters my complexion. I paid a pretty penny for it, too: $72. Kurt's store remains my favorite clothing store on Fire Island. It is the place to go to shop for T-shirts and sweatshirts for family and friends. Next week, Columbus Day, is their final day of the season. God spares my life, I will be back next year. read more
