Employees are well trained, friendly and efficient! Initially, the dining and kitchen staff had vacancies, but that has changed. The evening dinner is also provided in the Dining Room. Depending upon personal preference, a menu is completed the day before and returns to the kitchen. The staff is exceptional, always friendly, always treating the residents with courtesy, respect and affection. The residents go out of their way to welcome newcomers and help them acclimate through an ambassador program. I often joined dad on Friday afternoons for "happy hour" in the cafe. Although he didn't drink, he enjoyed a glass of cider and socializing with other residents. I made as many friends as he did and really enjoyed visiting, especially for concerts, special events and dinner. Highly recommended.

Renaissance Care Home in Neuse River Village came highly recommended and following in depth research and a long conversation with Ken Ogar, we chose this facility. We have not been disappointed. The love and care that Ken and Rosalie and their staff provided for the remainder of his life was incredible. He was safe and comfortable and all of his needs were seen to with a level of professionalism, love and compassion that never waivered. My mother was able to see him in a home-like setting and to spend time and share meals with him just like the old days., Sadly, he passed away yesterday but we want to make sure everyone knows how happy we have been with RCH from day one.

My family was instantly at ease, which was even more important with her dementia. We never doubted the care that she was receiving and it allowed us peace of mind as we lived our day to day lives. Furthermore, the families of the other became our family and vice versa. I definitely recommend their care.

Covid was handled beautifully with masking required and meal delivery to apartments. Unfortunately, things haven't bounced back as much as hoped, impacted by short staffing and staff turnover. During the time of lowest staffing, menus and meal preparation went downhill; however, things are improving significantly. Staffing situations have also caused maintenance and housekeeping to be below par, but the light at this particular tunnel is beginning to be visible. Parking remains abysmal for residents. Improvements have been promised for months but nothing has changed. There are many opportunities for activities, movies, special dining events, vaccinations, and others. I will remain a happy member of the Reserve community.

In order to get a…read moreplacement at Windsor, one has to pay over 80k which will slowly go away during the ensuing four years. Since she passed two years into the four year plan, my husband is contractually owed half of the 80k. The contract specifically states that it ends upon death. The contract is poorly written. I could understand them hanging onto the funds if she had decided, on her own volition, to leave the contract. She died and the contract clearly states that it ends upon death. However, Windsor has chosen to hang onto the funds stating they need to lease out her apartment before they can refund my husband. It's now been 13 months with no communication from Windsor Point unless we contact them. We have now been told we can no longer contact Windsor Point to inquire about the 40k they still owe my husband. I would be very wary of investing in Windsor Point if there is any chance your loved one won't live more than four years. They will hold on to any excess monies they owe and make it hell, if not just plain impossible, to get the money back. Buyer beware!!

I feel compelled to write this review…read more My in-laws moved to Windsor Point 9 years ago. At first the independent living apartment seemed very nice and spacious. During this time there were lots of items that went missing. It could be just lost somewhere in their apartment, but when they were moved to the assisted living area, more things went missing. As my in-laws aged and needed more assistance, they were moved to nursing. Nursing rooms are dismal, at best. Even when we purchased new clothes and labeled them, most of their clothes disappeared and when we would visit, my in-laws were dressed in unfamiliar clothes that didn't fit. Items missing (mom's wedding ring and nice clothing) was one problem, but when bills would be sent directly to them, the staff would just put them in one of the dresser drawers. Since we lived out-of-state, we would get these bills until months later. That was a big problem. How hard can it be to notify the family that there are bills pilling up? The last problem is after both parents died, there was never a follow-up call to us. We called after a few days to inquire about personal belongings only to be told that we are being charged every day that the personal belongings were not removed! Over a month has passed since the death of my mother-in-law and not one person has called to see how the family is doing. I know that there are some very nice and hard-working Windsor Point staffers, but I would never recommend this place. After 9 years you would think that someone would have cared enough to reach out to the family.
