The cafe and lobby is new and modern w large windows looking out over Boston's skyline. It makes a nice meeting place with coffee and pastry. My father was cared for here until his death going through COVID and those terrible years. I'm thankful for Katzmans staff, nurses and CNAs during those most difficult times. Good work.

My mother was placed here for rehabilitation but the staff gave up on her pretty quickly, seemingly intent to let her lay in bed in a soiled diaper all day instead of encouraging physical therapy so she could go home. The head of physical therapy was adamant in giving up on her, doctors orders went unheeded by staff, and staff made excuse after excuse to deny providing a shower. No one should have to sit in soiled diapers to the point they develop rashes and blisters. No one should be allowed to develop urinary tract infections because they are left dirty. No should should be given up on. If you're looking for rehabilitation, stay away from Katzman Family Living.

After reading reviews, I was worried about him going there but there are no worries. The staff is wonderful from aides , nurses and therapist. He got wonderful physical and occupational therapy 5 times a week. All our questions were answered, social services was great. The food is not what you would get at a gourmet restaurant but it was edible, a few meals he really enjoyed. I would reccommend the lighthouse to any family members or friends.

North End Rehab BEWARE of this facility.Presently I'm in a post acute rehab from a RSV infection…read morewhich led to pneumonia,a serious case in the lungs,plus a UTI infection all at once.One IV in each arm while I was in the ICU at the Beth Israel hospital. In my ten days at the Beth Israel I went from the ICU to Quarantine for the next infection. The team of doctors at the hospital told me repeatedly that I caught these infections from my staying at North End Rehab.My brother was taking care of me at home caught this and ended up in Brigham hospital for five days but he didn't get the pneumonia.Thank you North End Rehab for taking out a family like they care.Get this now I've been home since 4/15 and in the hospital in another rehab to recover from North End Rehab and all this time they're collecting my monthly disability benefits insurance into their TD CHECKING ACCOUNT 9555 Last four and I couldn't believe it.While I was paying them rent for my stay, they had their doctor lie behind myself and my families backs say that I couldn't manage my own money. So they continued to bill me and collect my disability benefits at the same time. It's fair to say what they were doing was wrong and unethical and unethical I was told this by Social Security.They have no shame and offer no help and believe me I was nothing but a cash cow for them to nine months. I had to make my own appointment and arrangements otherwise it wouldn't happen.Physical therapy was non existent and the only relationship was with my dog Bart.On my first night home after discharge, I spent it in a urine soaked wheelchair watching tv. Inpatient has a commitment requirement that the patient will participate in physical rehabilitation for three hours every day. I found this immensely beneficial, since some places just leave you doing little or nothing every day. The rooms look like The Four Seasons Hotel! I was in a room of my own...all hardwood, large windows with water views, a nurse with no more than seven patients. Lots of rehabilitation work, but everyone is very attentive. My nurse was phenomenal. There are no meal menus. An attendant comes to your room with a wheeling computer cart, and reads you menu suggestions, but you are always free to voice your own choices and wishes. Food was delicious. There's so much detail to every single thing here! If you HAVE to be somewhere, it's a terrible catastrophe, but being at Spaulding, Charlestown is the best!
