It's kind of awkward placing orders without a command of the language, but I muddled my way through a request for pastries and an espresso. The counter staff was helpful enough, but I'm perceiving that "outsiders" aren't taken to very well in this community. What we got was a brew that was a nice, pick-me-up Italian morning coffee (which wasn't burnt, like coffee in cheaper places). Providing the option to sit down and order one of their great pastries (try their creampuffs), Sweet is not only a great place for a quick morning coffee, but also to sit down and catch up with a friend.

Our dinner at Taverna del Vin Vino was our favorite experience on our first trip to Italy. There…read morewere four of us in our party, two are vegetarian, and we all had several courses and loved everything we ordered. The day we were there, they don't technically open until 7:30 PM. We showed up at about 7:15, but we were immediately welcomed in and led to our table. The service continued to be wonderful. The people were warm and helpful, carefully explaining all the offerings in detail. The wine was exceptional, and there aren't sufficient words to describe the food. I will say it was all carefully hand crafted and delicious! On top of all this, the atmosphere is just as interesting and detailed as it looks in the pictures, On top of that, at the end of the meal, the owner shared pictures and fascinating history of the building and his wonderful restaurant. This place was incredible. Do yourself a favor and enjoy an evening here!
