With that being said, the serious lack of urgency with the pug in the car was totally unacceptable to me. The locksmith showed up very quick. I had told him on the phone that my dog was in the car so when he was there within ten minutes I was happy. When it took him over a half hour to unlock a door, I was no longer happy. He was unable to push the lock with one of his tools and ended up making a key. After determining the numbers needed to make the key, he had the numbers wrong and had to go through the process again. I mentioned a few times about it getting warm for the dog. He didn't respond and his laid back, slow approach made me use every ounce of patience I had. He even stopped and gave very detailed directions to someone. Canton is not big enough to need very detailed directions to get anywhere! I am thankful that he finally did get the door open. I also now have an extra key that doesn't have a thick end so it will fit in my card holder (after asking for the key he made and being a little confused on why he didn't offer it and pocketed it instead.) My entire experience in Canton was odd and all I did was stop and get gas. It could almost equate to a Stephen King novel. I don't think I will stop there again when driving through the area.

I want to give a big shout out to Griffin Guardians Locksmith. The deadbolt on my front door had…read morebeen having problems on and off throughout the winter and then again in this humidity and finally it broke while in the lock position and the bar just turned and turned. I attempted to remove it but of course, mine had to be difficult and was completely jammed and could not be removed through the normal means. I finally gave up and googled locksmiths in the area and Griffin Guardians Locksmith came up first. After a little research, I discovered they were also a member of the Chamber of Commerce, which is something I take note of when looking for services. I called and Garrett was very nice and professional and took the time to listen to my issue. He gave me some ideas over the phone in case it would help me avoid having to request a service call (most would never have done this as they would have jumped on the money train as quickly as possible). After trying multiple times, I went ahead and requested he take a look and he came out SAME DAY. He showed up and was just as friendly and professional in person as he was on the phone. Of course--my lock had to be the oddity and be a pain but he did get it (thankfully he knew what he was doing because I sure didn't) and removed and replaced it within minutes. I had never heard of this company until I was in dire need and Garrett was fantastic.
