I came from Miami to visit my son in Fort Myers on his father's heavenly birthday and looked for floral shops with the best reviews. Let me tell you how thankful I am. The lady at the desk was very nice and helpful, showed me the different selections between sizes. At the end she also added the happy birthday stick and when I saw these fresh arrangements on her table immediately got emotional. These were perfect for my son's father's grave. Sent flowers to someone in Florida, and she said the bouquet was beautiful and that she loved it. The only reason why I don't give it a 5 star review is that I scheduled for the flowers to arrive on her birthday, and they showed up three days early. Which isn't all that bad, because it reminded her husband what was coming up. But if you're expecting them to deliver on a specific date for a reason, you might want to specify that somehow with the company, because otherwise they might deliver the flowers ahead of time. read more

I wanted to send some get-well-soon flowers to a relative at the opposite side of the country and found A.J.'s Florist online. In the middle of the night Pacific time, I placed an order online with A.J.'s. By our noon time the next day, I received a text from my relative thanking me for the lovely flowers. Though I didn't specify a delivery date, I was pleased they were delivered so quickly. A week passed and my relative sent me a second photo saying the flowers still look great one week later. I thought that was very sweet of her to say so and even better for A.J.'s flowers to have held up so well. Theoretically, this could have been a 5 stars result - except, if you compare the delivered bouquet to the online image, you'll see that it's not nearly as full as the image (purchased the deluxe size). It's also missing the more expensive purple roses. There's not a single rose in the delivered bouquet. That's a disappointment as the pretty roses was a major reason for choosing that bouquet. The less-voluminous size is a disappointment too. read more

My wife and I are staying on Captiva Island this week for her 30th birthday. While Captiva may have an abundance of sand and shells, florists with any feedback are lacking. My search for a striking arrangement led me to Aj's, on the strength of several glowing Yelp reviews. I'm happy to say my greatest 'Yelp find' is not a restaurant, but rather a florist! I contacted Aj's on a Monday afternoon to inquire about a Tuesday delivery. After confirming they could deliver so far out (1.5hrs round trip!) for a very reasonable delivery fee (no more than you'd pay the big name nationwide dealers), I placed an order of 30 red roses for my wife. To say that Aj's clearly takes pride in their work and the product they deliver would be an understatement. The young lady I spoke to on the phone was extremely helpful and understanding of the importance this order had to me as well. I only wish the picture (submitted along with this review) could capture how great the arrangement turned out! I live in Sacramento, but have ordered bouquets for my aunt a couple of times. I think they are amazing! I ask for tropical and unique and they always deliver. I posted a photo of the most recent bouquet (not the best quality, but you can see it's pretty). Really, I tell them how much I can spend and they give me WAY more than I would get from FTD or teleflora. I wanted to find a local florist that I could trust to call upon whenever I want to send her flowers and I hit the jackpot! The arrangement I ordered was fresh, full and gorgeous! The bouquet included open and budding flowers so she could have optimal time to enjoy her arrangement. The bouquet was delivered on time and mom loved them! The lilies smell wonderful! I spoke to my mom today, a week later, and she is still enjoying her arrangement. I have been ripped off by out-of-state florist in the past and it is very frustrating because fresh flowers are expensive. My first time using A.J.'s was for Father's Day. I was looking for a particular arrangement (the Teleflora Ford Mustang) and A.J.'s was the only local florist that had any left. The gentleman I spoke to on the phone was friendly and extremely helpful. Horrible horrible service!!!! I put in an order a week ago for Valentine's Day and it never got delivered. When I called to complain, the receptionist starting yelling at me. Their excuse was because of an accident, which I'm assuming was an all day accident. The arrangement was suppose to be delivered while I was at work. Mind you I work 8 hrs a day and in those 8 hours they never made the delivery. When I called to complain they didn't give me details of where the driver was and asked me to stay at work while I was already off. They take too many orders and can't handle the deliveries. Never once did I get an apology for this nor did they try to fix the situation. Never again will I order flowers from here!!!!! read more

Saved the day! I am from out of town. Needed a flower arrangement for a 80th birthday party. Of course it was late minute. I went to one florist that said I would needed to call ahead, but there were three people and 2 were just sitting around. So we drove to AJ's. They were busy too, (it was the Thursday before Easter). They fit us in and were able to make an amazing bouquet with green hydrangeas, pink roses and incredible blue delphinium. It was stunning! It was the highlight of the party! I've ordered flowers from A.J's for three years. I normally order by phone, the customer service person is always very helpful and cheerful. They send the perfectly constructed bouquet when needed, from saved addresses on file. The flowers are always fresh and last longer than a week (depending on the flower types). This place is my go to place for flowers for all occasions. read more

AJ's Florist is an amazing florist!! I called at 4:45pm EST and on Saturday just before Mother's Day! (I live in California and I knew I was so late in putting in an order!) They informed me that they are closed on Sunday and it was so late in the day that they could not deliver the flowers until Monday the day after Mother's Day. This was fine with me because I knew that I had put the order in so late! However, my mother-in-law calls to tell that she received the most beautiful and fresh bouquet of flowers at 2pm on Mother's Day!! This florist went out of her way on her day off! This one by far the absolute worst experience I've had ordering flowers for my significant other. I placed an order days in advance for Valentine's Day, as the day was coming to an end I called two separate times to check the status of my order. On the first call I was told that they have 4 drivers out and they will be delivering until all orders are delivered. I informed A.J.'s representative that wasn't really helpful since the flowers are being delivered to a business that closes at 5pm. He proceeded to hang up on me. I gave it about 1.5 hours and called again, only to be told the same thing. And was informed the driver was on 41. This could mean the driver could be anywhere in fort myers. I informed my significant other that I ordered her flowers since she was about to leave work for the day. My significant other called as well to get an estimate of how long she would need the wait after hours on Valentine's Day for her order to be delivered only to be meet with a extremely rude representative on the other end of the line. By far the worst customer experience she has had as well. A.J.'s florists threatened to cancel the order and blamed not being able to complete the order due to an accident. Mind you this florist is minuets from her job. For a small business you would think that the customer service would be a step above larger corporate florist but that couldn't be further from the truth. Avoid using this florist at all cost unless you would like to have your significant other's special day ruined as well. read more

I ordered an arrangement for my daughters birthday for $75. When I saw the picture on Facebook I was mortified. Not only were the florals totally uninspiring but I specifically requested they leave out certain flowers that she did not like. Many of these were included in the arrangement.
