It was nice to practice in the house, around the neighborhood, and at the park. She gave us great tools to work on, and our dog is doing so much better! Would definitely recommend!

Not great in most situations, scary in others :( He has a very sweet nature at home, but his and my quality of life was suffering due to his extreme reactivity to other dogs. Fun relaxing walks would quickly turn into stress-filled episodes of vicious lunging, snapping, and barking at other dogs. He is small but very frightening! I had dreamed of running through forests and fields, roaming everywhere with my little best friend. It just wasn't happening, it was stressing everyone out, we received glares and disapproving glances on the trails. I felt terribly embarrassed and wondered if there was any hope. I was pretty disappointed as I tried to accept our fate. Then we found High Tail. The results were miraculous, Max can now co-exist in peace with other dogs and doesn't even react anymore! I needed to understand how to work with his issues so he could recover and learn to trust. He needed kindness, understanding, and consequences. He is a special dog with a unique past and I think High Tail understood him and could gauge just how much work he could handle in training so he wouldn't get stressed. They keep it positive and make sure your dog is having a good time while learning. It was a great experience and I highly recommend them. They can probably help with most problems pretty quickly, I was extremely impressed and grateful that Max and I have a new life ahead full of doggy playtime and walks. Thank you High Tail!

Stay far away from this place. The trainers are mostly subletted out so you don't really know who…read moreyou'll get until it's too late. My dog was dehydrated to the point of his skin was peeling off by the time he came back and yes the trainer admitted the withhold water to prevent them from needing to go pee as often (excuse me but what the F?!). Of course they convinced us that he needed to stay for an extra week, being extremely pushy about it using sales tactics that one would expect from a scammy dog trainer. They used an e collar even though we would never have agreed to them using that. Our poor dog came back traumatized. I wouldn't trust my worst enemies dog with ireeny (maybe ireenie?). Either way when we brought this up to managment ofcourse as one would expect it was all excuses. BUT the owner or whoever it was that's in charge was nice enough to offer one on one in Person training lesson to make up for it, which doesn't take back the weeks of torture my dog went through being actually electrocuted and dehydrated but the craziest part was the owner never bothered following up and keeping her promise. Trust me if you love your furry little friends stay far away. Nothing professional about this place. 4k dollar down the drain. My first dog was trained so unbelievably amazing by someone who very obviously loved their job. Unfortunately they closed down between the time we got our first dog to the second one. Shamrock ranch is the place we went too for 1500$ they worked wonders. This place just leaves you feeling ripped off. 4k$ for nothing to show except a poorly trained dog...is an actual scam. The kicker...we were told we would need to keep the e collar on him for the next 1.5 years. How come my other dog never needed an e collar?!? I'm disgusted I didn't trust my gut when I got that feeling of being pushed into the whole "he won't be trained correctly if you don't keep him there for the extra week". Meanwhile my dog was being abused. Feel free to reach out to me for a more in depth explanation of our nightmare of an experience. They welcomed her with patience, treated her with love, and kept me connected every step of the way with videos and photos. Their support didn't end at pick-up--they still check in, guide me, and make sure we're thriving. I've come to them twice, and I'd return again without question. Jason and Kacey, thank you from the bottom of my heart.

My pit mix, Hazel came into my life after spending some time alone on the streets of Bakersfield…read moreand then getting placed on the euthanasia list at the local shelter. Whatever trauma she endured there started showing itself through fear-based aggression toward humans; after trying on my own to address the behavior, both Hazel and I were stressed, frustrated and scared. I realized I needed professional help and I wanted it to be provided by an educated, dedicated trainer who came from a place of empathy. Tiffany fit that description perfectly. From the moment of our first Zoom "audition," I could tell she was no nonsense: she could train Hazel, but it would also take work, honestly and dedication from me, as well. Prior to drop off, I was provided with specific directions, a handbook and easy to follow instructions on exactly how the training would go. The minute I dropped off Hazel with Tiffany, my heart felt hopeful for the first time in months. Hazel immediately recognized Tiffany as a kindred spirit who commanded respect but made sure her first job was to connect with my dog. From there, I was receiving daily, lengthy updates that included videos describing what/how she was training as well as lectures that provided guidance I could follow once she came home. The part that made me realize I had made the right decision was that, within a couple of days, Tiffany had identified Hazel's root issues that were leading to her aggression and adjusted her training accordingly. It was amazing to watch her with Hazel: her focus, her calm, quiet demeanor and Hazel's response to her: trust. Once Hazel came home, the real work started and Tiffany is available 24/7 the first 72 hours and then available during her normal work hours for the life of your dog. That's an incredible commitment for what you're paying to know that your dog is in the best hands possible. I can't speak highly enough of Tiffany (and her sweet husband). I've been an animal person my whole life and there is no one else I'd recommend to help you connect more and understand any issues or behaviors your dog might be experiencing. Thank you, Tiffany.

Tiffany and For the Love of Dog has been nothing short of transformative for both me as a dog owner…read moreand for my dog. I was fortunate enough to book a month long board and train with Tiffany for my dog, who was a pandemic pup who had some medical trauma that robbed us of important foundational training time when he was a puppy. He's a strong guy as an adult and I was having a lot of trouble instilling training into him since he was not a food motivated dog, especially when it came to walking on a leash. He'd pulled me off my feet a few times and I knew I needed a professional to really help me become the best and safest dog owner I could for him. Working with Tiffany and For the Love of Dog doesn't just instill amazing training in your dog, but educates you as the owner in ways I didn't even realize was possible. I feel so much more prepared and educated now, through Tiffany's training, her educational videos, her to-the-minute updates on my Dog's progress and how she teaches--both the dogs and the human owners. She breaks down everything in such easy to follow ways and her insight on behavior, both dog and human owner behavior is nothing short of brilliant. I also know I can reach out to her at any time for any hurdles we encounter and will receive her insight and knowledge, which is worth its weight in gold. She quickly identified not only my mixed dog's breed (the genetic test totally confirmed everything she said!) but the underlying anxiety that he felt. The month he spent with her has transformed him from an anxious worrier with deep feelings who would pull me off my feet on walks to a calm dog who knows he can do hard work and that I'll be beside him to help as we tackle any new situations. The difference in him is profound: he's calm, he's walking on a loose leash, he's happily obeying commands and he's more confident in his place in the world and in our little pack of three. And I feel so much more prepared and understand him on a deeper level through Tiffany's insight, education and help. If you've got a pup facing a hard problem or anxious behavior or any issue at all, invest the time and money into Tiffany's training. You will be so thankful--and so will your dog! I cannot recommend her enough. This experience has strengthened my bond with my dog, educated me as a long-time dog owner and introduced an order into our lives that has truly changed it for the better.

I am very upset as I made at appointment for one of our adult boa imperators named Addy on February…read more3rd 2026 as she had a large mass stuck in her back end that she couldn't pass on her own. They told me she was dehydrated so they gave her IV fluids. They also did an x-ray on her to confirm what the mass was which it was stool that she was unable to pass on her own. They confirmed she had an infection and prescribed her an antibiotic injection called Ceftazidime to be given to Addy every other day. They wanted to do blood work on her however I couldn't afford that as that would have made the total $800 - $1,100 in addition to I don't see how that would have helped Addy as we already know she has an infection from the stuck stool. The total cost that day was $640. They told me if the antibiotic injections didn't work that they could do an Enema and flush out the stuck stool. At the time of the appointment they showed me how to give the injection to Addy on her side underneath the scales. They told me if I needed any help to come in anytime and they could help me give her the injection. They gave her the first injection for me. When I went to give her the second antibiotic injection I had a difficult time doing it properly as I am nine months pregnant so I called the vet clinic to ask if I could bring Addy in for help on giving her the injection. They told me the doctor had left early that day and to give the injection from top down if I needed to which is what they told me not to do during the time of Addy's appointment. Thankfully my husband was able to help me give Addy her antibiotic injections however I didn't think it was right what the vet did saying I could come in for help and then they refuse to let me come in and help give Addy her injection. The vet said they would call in a few days after the weekend and see how Addy is doing. My husband helped me to give Addy her antibiotic injections every other day. When the vet called for an update I let them know that a small amount of white stuff came out of her back end but that the mass was still there. When I asked how much the estimate would be for an Enema the vet told me they didn't want to do that for her until after she had all her antibiotic injections due to the risk of tearing which they didn't mention that to me during Addy's appointment. My husband and I were giving Addy the antibiotic injections every other day like instructed. We went to give Addy her injection last Thursday evening on February 19th 2026 only to find that Addy had passed away. I am very upset and distraught about Addy passing as she was such a kind and sweet boa. I feel like the vet should have done something more for her sooner instead of just relying on the antibiotic injections. I am also upset they didn't allow me to come back in for help giving Addy the injections. I am writing this review to share my experience as this has been very hard on myself and I highly recommend not going to Whispering Pines Vet Clinic if you have an exotic or any type of reptile. I cannot speak on their services for dogs and cats, however I don't think they are capable of treating exotics and reptiles properly. The total vet cost for Addy was $640 only for her to end up passing away. I also noticed when I first walked into the clinic that they have two ball pythons in a small glass tank together with a red light for heating. One of the ball pythons had bad stuck shed on it. The two ball pythons apparently live at the clinic like that in those conditions. I told myself if they can't properly care for their own snakes how could they possibly help Addy our Boa? I almost walked out right then and there but being I am heavily pregnant it's hard for me to drive and this was the closest vet clinic to us that sees exotics. I now know that I should have walked out and gone to a different exotic vet as maybe if I did that Addy would still be alive and could have gotten the help she needed.
