We were concerned about sunlight coming in and making sure no one could see in as well. There were no full shades to try and only several inches of samples that we had to go off of. We also made clear that blackout shades were not an option in our kitchen and living room since that is where the most sunlight comes in. Once the shades were installed, we instantly knew in our kitchen and living room that these shades were not capable of blocking any sunlight, whatsoever, and also created intense heat that we were not prepared for. We contacted Darla and all that was offered was blackout shades at almost full price. We were not looking for a discount and just wanted a non-costly solution, but there was no response to this and no concern, whatsoever. We eventually had to reach out to another company and they came up with an extremely unique and non-costly solution that we are very happy with. Afterwards, we expressed to Darla our disappointment. All we received was a business response stating she is bound by the company's guidelines. Again, all we wanted was some concern for our predicament and a possible solution. Not a suggestion of something we already said we did not want. I absolutely do not recommend this company. There are no room for mistakes and no one to show any concern if there is one.

Extremely Disappointed With the Experience After 25 years in…read morethis industry, I have never experienced a situation like this. Our company spent thousands of dollars with Triton Stone Group, purchasing five slabs of marble, additional stone for the primary bathroom and laundry room, and Tile of Ezra mosaic tiles for the powder room. The materials were shipped to a warehouse near us, and the warehouse was given a digital signature to sign for the crates. The problem is that there was no detailed paperwork accompanying the shipment showing exactly what was supposed to be included in our order. This means you are essentially forced to trust that the warehouse receives and checks everything correctly. Unfortunately, that did not happen. I was shorted more than $7,000 worth of materials, and when I contacted Triton Stone to get the issue resolved, I was eventually told that it was my fault because someone had signed for the shipment. I want to make it clear that multiple people on our end at the receiving warehouse can vouch for what happened and can confirm the circumstances surrounding the shipment and what was actually received. This was not simply a case of someone failing to sign for or check a delivery. There were multiple people involved who can verify the situation. What has been even more frustrating is the lack of customer service. It took six months just to get someone to respond to me, and when I tried to clarify the situation and find a reasonable solution, I felt that my concerns were simply dismissed. After spending this much money with a company, I expected better communication, accountability, and customer service. A digital signature acknowledging receipt of crates should not automatically mean a customer has received and verified every item in a large, complicated order--especially when there is no accompanying paperwork clearly identifying what is inside each crate. I have been doing this for 25 years, and based on my experience, I would not recommend Triton Stone Group. Spending thousands of dollars with a company should come with confidence that your order will be properly documented, packed, delivered, and supported if something goes wrong. Unfortunately, that was not my experience.

Our back patio receives the brunt of the brutal afternoon Tennessee sun. We've have a table with a…read morelarge umbrella, but when we entertain, the shade given by one umbrella is just not enough. After spending several months toying with different solutions to our problem, we happened to visit friends who had fabulous awnings added to their home. The quality of the awning material was outstanding and the braces are manufactured to aircraft tensile strength standards. The awnings are made by Eastern Awnings in Connecticut. I gave them a call and asked if they had any awning companies in East Tennessee that they dealt with. They recommended Shades, LLC in Lenoir City. I called the number provided and talked with the owner, Gretchen. I explained that I needed a 15x10 Eastern brand awning. She and her partner, Dwayne, scheduled an appointment the following week. They dropped off the pattern book for us to peruse the different fabrics and designs. After we made our choice, they came out again, measured the area, took our 50% deposit and ordered it the same day. In less than a month, the awning arrived and it was installed yesterday. It has surpassed our expectations. This particular awning is rated for wind gusts up to 44 mph and has a 10 year warranty. Throughout the entire process, it was a pleasure to work with Gretchen and Dwayne. They are good people. I highly recommend this business and their product line.
