I highly recommend this place! Service was excellent and…read morethe food terrific! Perfectly for a cozy dinner in good company. Everything they do is super fresh and delicious. Please pair your fish or seafood dish with their Pluma Rosè! Cash only tho ;)

In my cool and diverse neighborhood, another awesome ethnic restaurant is to be found. And this is…read morethe Portuguese bistro - Senhor Vinho. Dining here is a wonderful evening out while enjoying an authentic Portuguese meal. I like everything about this place. The atmosphere is warm and cozy, the service is friendly, and the food and wines are top-notch. The blackboard menu can change but I am sure there will always be Carne de Porco à Alentejana on it. This pork and clam dish is superbly prepared here. The tasty Portuguese bread (served with olive oil) can be used to soak up all the remaining sauce from your main course. This may be what I call peasant style eating but believe me, you will want to do it. A very fine and dry Quinta da Espiga wine from the Estremadura was the perfect accompaniment to the meal. And when you are finished your meal, a shot of Portuguese Aldeia Velha (fire water) will send you warmly out into the night. Daniel the owner is very friendly and if you are lucky you might be in Senhor Vinho when he and some of his friends get the guitars out and play some wistful fado music. A couple of tips - In summer there is an attractive gast garten for under-the-stars dining. And be aware that this is a cash only establishment. On weekends def make a reservation as this can be a popular spot. Also there is only a small sign outside so it is easy to miss unless you know where it is. Senor Vinho in Margareten is a destination restaurant in Vienna. Don't miss it when you need a taste of sunny Portugal!!
