Waited at an empty drive thru at lunch time at the speaker for a few mins patiently as requested only to be told their burgers and fries would take 5 mins to be ready. Wait to be told to wait longer. Stupid for a popular fast food place at peak hours and not busy. read more

The worst fast food experience I've had in years!! Hot dogs were horrible. The buns were old and fell apart making the hot dogs very messy and difficult to eat. The manager said there was nothing they could do and quickly dismissed us. Do not go there. Complete waste of money!!!! read more

As KFC's go, this one is probably one of the cleaner ones I've been in. I do not know if it is corporate policy for most of the chain of restaurants to be nasty but at least this one isn't. Whenever I need a fix of some good ol' fashioned fried chicken I go here. The food quality is typical of any other KFC and, admittedly, my pallet is probably much more forgiving than most. My kids love this place because we have the habit of grabbing a root beer float after our meal. One other thing I like about this place is that it is combined with A&W (obviously, the root beer float, remember?) so if fried chicken isn't your thing you can always grab a burger. read more

Usually a big fan of A&W (and I'm not expecting spectacular, it is fast food after all) but tonight was awful. Ordered at the drive-thru and was asked to pull around and wait for root beer....just the staple of A&W. Ok, so they have to change the tank. I wait 10 minutes. Finally I go inside for them to say "oh we got it just another minute..it was more like 5. So needless to say food was cold by the time I got home. Came in here for a fast meal worst mistake my food was ice cold the fries were burnt and totally dried out I asked for the double cheeseburger I got nothing but bread and Patty needless to say I will not come back to A&W I've never had a hamburger that was this horrible even my dogs don't want to eat the french fries!! read more

It's a terrible shame, I have really enjoyed A&W in the past but tonight I've lost faith (and my appetite completely). My family and I pulled up to the drive through window and saw food and trash on the floor like it hadn't been swept for days. Specifically there was a piece of chicken under the middle table that my wife had mentioned seeing a week ago; at the time she thought nothing of it that it might have just recently fallen...however, it loos as if it has taken up permanent residency under there. Restocking boxes were left on and near tables with no one actively restocking at the time, which wouldn't be such a big deal if they weren't being used to support the slacking of the employees who were pleasantly chatting and apparently blissfully unaware of the multiple health code violations piled up around them (not a single gloved hand was seen on anyone present). There were dried remnants of spilled drinks on the side of the counters that looked like they too had not been wiped down for a good deal of time. The drive up window itself had grimy prints on it much akin to a window at a daycare that has never seen a bottle of windex in its life! After the 3 minute drive home to eat our burgers were cold, fries were stale and hard, and our 6 year old said the mac and cheese tasted weird like rubber. The seal on the applesauce packet handed out with the kids meal was cracked rendering the entire packet compromised and its contents discolored (plain applesauce should not be sticky and dark brown). The root beer that is their "claim to fame" was unfortunately left wanting (seeing as how it was incredibly watered down to the point where it resembled stagnant spring water complete with fresh essence of dirt). No doubt about it, this was the worst experience and last that we will have with this particular establishment. Save yourself the grief (and possibility of actually getting sick) and make the trip to the springs if you crave crispy chicken that badly. read more

Well after last review I had a chance to come back and try it out again. So here's my follow up review, first the staff was alot better this time around, faster at taking orders and getting them out, so job well done there.... but that was the only good change, all tables were still dirty I had to find the cleanest of them, food and trash on the floors and under tables, soda area was not well stocked or clean looked like someone dumped soda on counter around lid area so it was sticky. And lastly I got some dessert after my meal and I was a bit thrown off by the hot fudge bottle being in one of the hot boxes where I'm pretty sure they put other food in there. I just wish it was better in here because I love A&W and it's the only one around me. Well guess we will see what happens read more

I agree that the place is clean...but there are other issues that I noticed. (Here is what I experienced and my opinion of what might be causing it.) First of all, we have been there over a dozen times. I will break this review down into a couple areas. First talking about the air quality, then going into customer service (including our really, really bad experience with Nicholas). I will cover what it was like when we first started going there last May, cover our experiences there over the summer, and tell you what happened 2 days ago. Air quality: In the beginning, the inside was great--clean and fresh-smelling. But, something appears to be wrong with their ventilation system now. For the last month and a half, or so, we have not been able to eat inside because the air is filled with grease. This is not the normal greasy-air smell that you get in a fast-food restaurant. It is something much more severe than that. What we experienced is an extensive, lung-filling cloud of vaporized grease that waves over us the moment we step inside the doorway. The first time it happened, we opened the door and several members of our family started coughing and gagging for breath, one said she was going to be sick from the smell....we exited immediately and opted to go though the drive-thru instead. We assumed it was a one-time issue...but the restaurant has been that way inside every time that we have gone there now for the last month and a half, or so. Each time we open the door, get hit in the face with a cloud of vaporized grease, and turn around and leave. If it is affecting us this badly in a matter of seconds of being in there, I have real concerns about the potential health affects upon the employees who are forced to breathe it in for hours at a time. Now---about customer service: The very first time we went (through the drive-thru in May) we were treated horribly. Seriously bad customer service. Not helpful. The guy was downright mean. We went back again--the next time we ate inside. Totally different experience--great customer service, clean lobby, good food. Everything was great. Between the beginning of June and the beginning of July, we ate inside another 6 or so times, and had an wonderful experience each time. Love those daily specials! During that same time period, and up till 2 days ago (this is mid-August) we were also treated well at the drive-thru, but they almost always got our order wrong. I think we were missing something from our order every time but once--generally a side was missing, or (most often) they forgot to include the cookie for the $5 fill up meal. Now, to our worst experience there ever: we went 2 nights ago. Couldn't go in because of the grease vapor (tried once again and had to turn around and exit immediately). Went through drive-thru where Nicholas gave us one of the worst customer service experiences ever. Rude. Condescending. Clearly wasn't listening. Kept getting our order wrong over the loud-speaker. At the window, the girl working there was nice, but didn't give us our drinks, straws, silverware, napkins....passed out the food and forgot about us. Most of the food was good, but the chicken nuggets they gave us were dried out and rubbery--clearly they were old and had been sitting around a LONG time. Doubt we will be going back. Think it is time to finally give up on this place. It's too bad because in this rural area, there aren't very many restaurants around to chose from. read more
