Billingsley Tire Service - Work in progress: Under the lift, mid-repair. Between lifts and tire racks, the shop clatters and buzzes with work. Serious workmanship.

What does the symbol that looks like a harp mean, then a flash of low tire pressure appeared. I pulled over, turned on my hazards to think of a quick place in Coalinga to air up my tire. My immediate thought was "Take it to Billingsly". Now I had no idea how low my tire was, but I flipped a U and headed into town. I turned on my hazards again and pulled off to the side because a big cement truck was headed my way hauling butt. Luckily the speed limit in town is 30mph. Billingsly looked very busy this Friday morning, but I was grateful for the sun shining today and there was zero fog. When I got out to look at my tire, that shorty was low, low, low, low. . . Low low low. The owner was helpful & he immediately tended to me and guided me around to park. While I was sitting in my car, he jacked up the tire & took it off for inspection. Yah, I hit a nail and it was stuck on the sidewall. "But I haven't gone anywhere"! I exclaimed. Must have been when I went through the alley after I picked up my car after the detail job. He offered me three choices, economical, Cooper, or Michelin. I opted for Cooper, but he said, "Nah, you should go with the economical so they all will wear evenly until the next time you replace all four". Very nice. I appreciate his honest opinion. So that's what I got. $130 Thank you Billingsly Until next time, see you some more on Yelp 2026

They took my call after hours when i was stranded by the side of the freeway. After getting towed to their shop, they got started quickly, given how busy they were. They commuicated well, got the parts, installed them and got us on our way by 1pm and the price was fair. Thanks Pat, Cesar, Geronimo and the rest of the team!

Call the tow truck and they suggested to have my car towed to the Firestone service shop in Firebaugh, CA. Call Firestone to see if they would have my tire size, and they did. Problem was that they close at six, and I was not going to make it as ever was 30 minutes away, and I was still waiting for the tow truck. They quoted me something like $450 for the tire and said that they would open at 9 AM the next day. When a tow truck driver came to assist me, he said that there was a 24 hour tire shop in Kettleman City, not too far away. He called Rudy's ahead of time and gave him my tire size. Rudy said he would have a tire ready for me. When I got there, I was a little skeptical, not gonna lie, cause it's not a normal looking tire shop. Nevertheless, I was in the bind and didn't have a choice. Rudy came out to assist me. Not only did Rudy change my tire., but my rear quarter panel was damaged from the tire blowout and was hanging by a threat. I don't think my vehicle was drivable at the time. Rudy put it back in place, drilled some holes, and attached zip ties to the frame of my car to lock in the quarter panel. It looked like new (just kidding) but my vehicle, but my vehicle was now drivable. Rudy was courteous, knowledgeable, and the damn best part was that what are the chances of a 24 hour tire shop being located in the middle of nowhere when I needed one? And then, since I have custom tires which are not regular size at all, what would be the chances they would have my size? Odds were minimal best, but Rudy saved the day. Here's the next best part of this whole situation, I paid $330 for my new tire, $120 less than I was previously quoted from Firestone. Rudy certainly save the day. I would've had to get a hotel in Firebaugh, sleep overnight, and get a new tire the next day. But because Rudy saved the day, I was able to get to my destination safely and with a new tire. Rudy is not your fancy, high-end tire shop, but his prices, professionalism, kindness, and ability to get the right size tire you need in a bind, is priceless. No regrets if recommending Rudy's to anyone. 5 stars for damn sure.

I called here to inquire about their lowest price of tires that are the same size as the mine, and even though they were out of stock of that size, they gave me the number of a different nearby shop that they said might have it in stock! Originally, upon hearing that Rafael's didn't have my size, I was ready to hang up and give up, but they were so kind as to offer further options without me even having to ask, just to help me get home. The second shop indeed had it in stock & now I am safely on my way home. Even though I did not physically get my car serviced here, I am extremely grateful for Rafael's Road Service & Tires and I definitely recommend giving them a call when you have car trouble!! Rest assured - they truly have your best interests at heart and will do their best to not leave you stranded.

I was just a mile away from the Interstate 5 and highway 269 intersection. I was able to drive to safety on my run-flat, but I knew that there was no saving this tire. Honestly, getting a flat tire in the "middle of nowhere" is unsettling. Who to call, where to go, will they have my tire in stock? Even with BMW towing service AND Wawanesa Insurance towing, I opted to ask the cashier at the EZ Trip convenience store about the nearest town and tire shops. She immediately pulled a card for Rafael's from behind the counter, and I knew there was an answer. Rafael answered the phone and go his son Rafael Jr. to come out and help. They took my old tire away to the show in Avenal (10 minutes away) and returned about 30 minutes later to install the replacement. Even though there were steps involved, it went like clockwork thanks to the hard work by Rafael. They got me a brand new tire at a decent price and had me on my way in a reasonable amount of time. You saved my day! Thanks Rafael Sr. and Jr.!! Their number is 559-479-7148 Avenal is north of Bakersfield off the 5.
