This guy, Gordon, is an asshole. Refused to rent a truck to me because I had to cancel a reservation and re-create it so I could make sure the driver, my dad, was present at pickup. Said it was too many red flags and I could rent a truck from another company, not his. Then I call corporate and he lies to them saying he told me I could rent from him. I took my business elsewhere even though Budget is the cheapest option. I can handle bad customer service, but don't lie to your Budget Corporate and make me look like the liar. We chose to rent an RV through cruise America and unfortunately this is their 3rd party vendor. From the start, Gordon, was an absolute horror to deal with. We booked on short notice on a Saturday and had to pick up on a Wednesday for departure. The representative that we spoke to with cruise America was clear that we needed to watch videos provided but if we didn't have the time, could do at time of pickup. Gordon, told us that because we hadn't watched them that he was considering canceling the reservation (he said this less than 2 hours before our pickup). After discussing with him the logistics of pickup, he was unwilling to change our pickup time because he needed to make sure everything was "perfect". That was laughable as our rental RV came with 1/4 tank of gas, a 2/3 full black tank filled with someone else's excrement and a multitude of issues that gave us a headache not only just in dealing with the vehicle but also safety issues. Our side mirrors would not stay adjusted and in a strong wind would kick the mirrors off making seeing out the side impossible. The electrical cabinet was wide open with no cover. Screws and nails sticking out of the floor. Molding falling on the drivers head and duct tape holding things together. Not to mention blazingly hot air coming from the floor. As some of these issues seemed cosmetic, we took off and started our trip. Upon leaving the area, well past closing we realized that the mirrors/air and molding became an issue. We waited to call Gordon until the morning and were met with blaming and condescending attitude. I was told that I should go buy a hammer and fix the nails and that the heat, so hot it would burn was normal because of the catalytic converter (hint: it's not normal). Everything I brought up was met with blame on my end, even though it was meant to be perfect, nothing was. He even had the audacity to tell me that I was not getting any sort of a refund and refused to even continue conversation after I told him we would call corporate together when I returned. "No one has had these issues, so I don't believe that there is an issue". Stay away from this establishment, Gordon and his wife and daughter run the place as an RV rental/bizarre storefront for used/damaged and unwanted goods. He will not assist you in anything you need help with and will blame you for his shoddy customer service and incompetence in communication. read more

BEWARE! I made an online reservation for a cargo van with A-1 at the Budget location and received a confirmation email with the reservation number. The day before my move, a very rude and condescending "Gordon" called to tell me that the time was being pushed back from 9am to 10:30am. When I told him that this was unfortunate because I had movers already lined up, he offered no apology and instead scolded me saying "Well there were alot of other people who had reservations ahead of you, and besides you never contacted us to discuss the details". This was news to me, as there was nothing in the confirmation email that indicated any further action was required on my behalf. I told Gordon that changing the time on me the day before my move really throws a monkey wrench into my plans, and he responded "You know what, I'll just cancel your reservation, how's that sound?" I stated that I did NOT wish to cancel and he responded "Too late, it's already done". So unprofessional! My husband called this morning to check on our RV reservation. We are supposed to pick up tomorrow morning. Turns out the unit we have reserved has been out of order in the shop for 2 weeks waiting on parts. No one felt that was important enough to let us know. They failed to secure a back up unit to fulfill our reservation. The 'best' they could do was have a unit available 2 days AFTER our reservation. So not only does this throw everything off but we are also out what we paid for the reserved campsites too. When trying to find out all of the information I could to help suggest possible solutions, I was interrupted, talked down to, and eventually hung up on. One of the rudest encounters I have ever had. I would rate 0 stars if it was an option. I highly suggest looking elsewhere for your rental needs. Absolutely unacceptable. read more

I rented a Budget truck in Denver on Saturday January 20, 2018. I drove it to Omaha and returned it to A-1 Enterprises after hours all in accordance with my agreement. They charged my credit card for an additional $93,74. I called to ask them the basis of the additional charges and they said: 1.Refueling. 9 gallons for $22.60. plus $30 charge. I refueled the truck at 144th and Q immediately before returning it. I filled the tank completely. I ran the gas until the hose shut off. then I kept trying to fill it to the very top but the hose kept shutting off. It shut off several times and it was impossible to put more gas in the tank. I looked in the gas fill tube and I could see gas. It was as full as I could get it. The fuel gauge showed just on the left side of full.That is where the gauge was when I picked the truck up in Denver. I filled the truck up in North Platte and that was as far as the gauge went even though I could not get any more gas in the tank and I could see gas in the gas tube. 2. $25 cleaning fee for cleaning out the cab. The truck bed was swept out before it was returned. I cleaned the cab at the gas station before I returned the truck. I put all of the trash (a fast food wrapper, an empty cigarette pack and a plastic water bottle) in a plastic sack and left it on the floor of the truck. A1 Enterprises dumped the trash on the floor and then took pictures as "evidence" that the truck was not clean. AND THERE IS NOTHING IN THE CONTRACT I SIGNED ABOUT A CLEANING FEE. 3. My only copy of the contract was placed in the after hours return box per instructions given to me by Budget. A-1 Enterprises refused to fax, email or in any other way send me a copy of the contract. They specifically said, "We do not have to do that for you and we are not going to do it". And they hung up on me. DO NOT RENT OR RETURN A VEHICLE TO THE A1 ENTERPRISES LOCATION. Took one of their RVs to Mount Rushmore. Took a passenger van on two different ocassions, as well. Took one of their mustangs to Lincoln for a game. I keep returning because their products are good, the price is fair and the service is everything one needs. Great job by the owners and employees. I'll be back again! read more

There is nothing budget about them. Gordon, that guy who works at the front desk is not the brightest guy and is kind of jerk. As I am trying to rent a truck he is complaining about other customers. They tack on every extra fee they can think of, even though they never tell you there is an extra fee, for example was never advised it was extra to add additional driver, extra fee to drop off after hours, inaccurate cleaning fees and extra taxes and fees not on your original estimate. Don't try to tell me that that it is a $50 charge cause you claim that truck is dirty. The supposed dirty was Mayo packets, main reason I know that is bogus is that I am Vegan and haven't eaten Mayo in years! So the estimate for $80 to rent a truck becomes $180, even though only had the truck for 7 hours and the truck was returned on time, with a full tank, clean, and with no damage. Go to U-Haul this Budget location is a complete rip off. read more
