To say this experience has been a nightmare is a gross understatement.
The "gentleman", Gordon, at A1 Enterprises that completed the rental paperwork is fraudulent at best. He admitted to not checking this vehicle prior to releasing it to myself and my family. We tried to point out numerous vehicle body dents and defects and he brushed us off stating we had chosen the "no fault" insurance plan so we wouldn't be held accountable for any damage.
Once we arrived home, we realized there was no shower head or nozzle in the shower stall. We travelled back to Gordon (14 miles) in our personal vehicle, from our home, to retrieve the "missed" shower equipment. Once the shower was equipped, water began to leak from the floor boards onto the floor inside the vehicle. When we turned on the water heater, we could smell something hot and burning. When we hooked up to the water supply, water leaked both inside and outside of the vehicle. My husband and I both slipped in water and strained our backs.
We also discovered some of the electrical outlets did not work and one of the prongs on the shoreline is black and singed. At this point, we decided the vehicle was not safe to travel in, and due to being a Sunday on a holiday weekend and A1 enterprises being closed, we left the vehicle in the safety of our driveway under the watchful eye of our security cameras all weekend. We made multiple calls throughout the weekend to the corporate office to report these findings, requesting to speak with management, and to be provided a refund; we were told multiple times that someone would return our call...this has yet to happen. We were also told to discuss a refund with A1 Enterprises. Gordon at A1 Enterprises referred us back to Cruise America Corporate; who again said "someone in management would call us".
The odometer and the odometer reading on the contract differ by about 500 miles. This fraudulent behavior would surely have caused a mileage overage fee had we actually been able to take the trip we had planned. Luckily for us, we decided not to drive the vehicle anywhere but right back to the dealer. When asked Gordon about the mileage discrepancy he states he wrote down the mileage told to him by "the person in the drivers seat when it was returned". He never looked at the dashboard for himself, and admitted the RV had
"just been returned from Florida". Jordan is nothing more than a shyster and a cheat read more
