I thought I hired the best company. We never did see a representative from the company, all by phone. I don't feel the job would be acceptable by higher end neighborhoods. I just hope that this will pass a house inspection. I wish it was done better. A saw was needed to cut ragged edge beneath porch to raise sidewalk more so the ugly caulking wound be unnecessary, in my opinion. I would not recommend them, even my neighbors were dissatisfied. We scheduled an appointment to get a quote on a concrete leveling job. The man showed up on time and gave us a reasonable price. We accepted it and were told they would "put us on the schedule." A week went by with no word, so I called them to see if we were, in fact, scheduled and when the repair would take place. They promised us a specific day and a 3-hour window in that afternoon (1:00 - 4:00 p.m.). We arranged our schedule around that promise. A little after 2:00 p.m., someone called from their office to inform us that they would not be coming out that day because another job took longer than expected. They were not apologetic, but dismissive of our concerns and frustration. She asked if we wanted them to schedule a different day. I told them no, that we would find a more reliable contractor who will actually show up as promised. This has happened to us far too often. Some businesses simply don't care about their customers or fulfilling promises. Keep that in mind if you are considering hiring this company. I certainly won't have anything more to do with them. read more

Not waste people's time. I had appt on 7/25/24 and have yet to receive an estimate. It is now 8/4/24. The person that came spent about 15 minutes and some of that time spent bashing other companies. read more

The gentleman came back to my house three or four times to make sure the job was done right. Highly recommend. I don't know what the problems were in the past, but I can tell you this much they saw a couple of things that they have not encountered before and they didn't inflate the price that they quoted me. They were very upfront and sincere the entire time. I really appreciate doing business with people that I can trust, and these guys worked their butts off. read more

Absolutely do not use them. Spent 22,000 to fix foundation. Left huge tire tracks. Wouldn't fix the landscaping around the home even with pictures. So unprofessional and lack responsibility. read more

Todd came out and gave an estimate on 2 rental properties and thought the price was right. We also had them do an estimate on a garage wall and new garage floor with patio. After we paid the half down for each property which is required they were a no show. The initial estimates were done in June and work was delayed until October. After they were paid 32,000 dollars down we thought we would get a few other estimates and the other estimates were almost half the price. Yes these were reputable companies that also do work for the state.WE called ron and todd We called ron and todd that we were going to go with one of the other companies for the garage wall a,garage floor and patio ron said no refund and if we tried to obtain the a refund it wouldnt end up to well for us. A - 1 Leveling came out, arriving exactly at the time that was said they would be here and leveled our sidewalk, (6 large concrete squares), double driveway, (2 large concrete squares), and patio, ( 2 large concrete squares). The results were all perfectly level and the areas washed and cleaned. Excellent results. read more

We used A-1 to install 4 piers to correct a sinking foundation on a old room addition. The piers corrected the problem HOWEVER they installed one of them directly into our main sewer line. The sewer line held and didn't collapse around the pier for 7 years, we were "lucky" they said, but when it did it was a $12,000 repair. When the plumbing company dug out around the main line you could clearly see the pier going directly through it. We called A-1 to come and see it. The owner, Ron Nichols, came and acknowledged the problem they caused and said he'd be in touch. We sent him pictures with a letter and heard nothing. Send another letter, again no reply. Finally after we had an attorney send a letter, Ron sent it to his insurance company which, of course, denied the claim saying they couldn't be sure that caused the problem. (The pictures clearly show it did and the plumbers were sure of it too.) If we decide to follow up with a lawsuit it could easily cost us another $10k in attorney fees, and we're not guaranteed a positive outcome. (I'm sure the insurance company is counting on us not pursing it further.) IF you choose to use A-1, please be aware that they take NO RESPONSIBILITY for knowing where your water and sewer lines are. When Ron came to see the damage and saw the pier going into the drain line he actually said nonchalantly, "Usually this happens in a few days" - meaning the broken main line. That was disturbing. We mistakenly assumed that as a professional doing this kind of work that he would find out about such things before they began working. No, they just take their chances. I would NOT recommend A-1. read more
