We've seen several great preschools in Paranaque and in Makati but this is really the one where we felt that it was a perfect match. First off, they had one of the longest trial classes. They offered it for a whole week and gave it another 2-week extension. In that time, my daughter go to know the teachers really well and started forming a bond with some of her "classmates". Second, the teachers are really caring. I sat in during the last day of her trial class and saw how responsive the head teacher was. They have a low student to teacher ratio 1:7 which is really ideal for kids this young. Third, I love that it's a real international school. They've had their preschool in the US for 10 years and have been voted as the best in the state. They've even started expanding to two other states. The Philippines is their first international location. Finally, they have a supplemental Headstart program to prepare the students for the start of the school year. The tuition fee is affordable for all that it offers. While they are relatively new here, their methods are already tried and tested. I recommend them for any parent with preschool-aged kids.

They use developmentally appropriate teaching strategies, making sure that every individual's needs are met. My daughter excels holistically as an individual, and from time to time people will ask where she had her early childhood education because they can see how confident she is of herself and of her abilities. You will know that she really had good foundation of education that not just focuses on the academics but more on being well rounded and awesome individuals. GREAT THINGS START HERE, INDEED.

The teachers are well-trained when it comes to early childhood education. I love how they use "multisensory" when it comes to teaching. They don't stick with just the flashcards and worksheets. It's very interactive and fun (making sure multiple senses are working). They also know the psychology behind a child's behavior which is very important for me when it comes to choosing preschools. Not all licensed teachers are trained in handling preschoolers, most of them are very traditional. That's why I know my son is in good hands at TGLA. They also give free parenting education programs too! I would definitely recommend you bec u create a very nurturing environment for children to flourish. My son developed so much as a person.

We had many different classes from physical education, to maths, to reading, and even (back then) Christian Living Education or CLE. It was a very small community and we would have lovely little presentations, mini olympics, and other activities that would bring together the parents and children. They have a quaint campus with modern amenities and it is located inside Ayala Alabang Village, which is a gated and safe community. I remember very well making lots of friends and doing many activities like pottery, sports, sewing, cooking demos, kumon, and many others. It was a great experience for me and the quality to education was very high. My older cousin who would take me to school before told me I was always excited to go to school and that when it was time to go home, I didn't want to go home unless all my friends were leaving too (I guess I was afraid to miss out on the fun!). Overall a cool experience and most definitely memorable!

See the thing with pre-schools is that the parents, grandparents, uncles and aunties can push with all their might where they want the young ones to go to school, but we all know that once that little boy or little girl sets his or her lil' heart on something, the rest of us usually will just surrender and give in. Expressive Minds was one of those things that my nephew demanded on. Once he saw the colorful classrooms, felt the cheerful vibe of the school, and the lovely personalities of the teachers, it was a done deal. No one was going to get in the way of the little guy from going to this school. The center does a very good job of mixing progressive learning and traditional learning. The traditional learning helps prepare the kids in a big way for the next step in their educational ladder (grade school). The progressive learning, my nephew really enjoyed. He would tell me stories about the different activities they would do in school, which made learning more interactive. He really enjoyed his time their and it was for good, too. He got accepted to Ateneo De Manila grade school after his time at Expressive Minds. What I liked about the center was that they have a small student-teacher ratio (10:1). For me, this ensures that the quality of learning is not watered down and that each student is given ample attention by their teachers. Also, they have summer camps and this program called KidzNMusik, teaching the kids about the joy of music. Taylor Swift mini me? They have one-on-one time everyday which is great! This gives an opportunity for each student to work with the teacher to focus on specific tasks. We've actually tried a couple of preschools before enrolling her at Expressive Minds but unfortunately they didn't have one-on-one. My husband and I really liked the fact the student-teacher ratio is very small. If I'm not mistaken, they were only 10 during her time. There were 2 teachers and 1 teacher aide. So there are basically 3 adults for the class of 10 students. My daughter Serene really enjoyed her time there and now I'm enrolling my other daughter for their Early Learners class. Thumbs up to all the teachers and staff of Expressive. They have really contributed well to the school's inviting and homey environment!

My journey at OLPMC shaped me in countless positive ways; it truly made me who I am today. From the very beginning in the Montessori Casa program, their individualized approach and hands-on learning ignited my genuine curiosity and love for exploration. My dedicated teachers in those early years fostered my independence and a strong sense of self. This foundation continued to build throughout my elementary years, where the Montessori method encouraged my critical thinking and a deeper understanding of concepts, rather than just memorization. Moving into the high school years, OLPMC maintained its commitment to academic excellence while also fostering a supportive community. I particularly appreciated all the fun and unforgettable programs and the engaging Science classes in our laboratory. My teachers, were not only knowledgeable but also genuinely invested in our success. They created a learning environment where questions were encouraged and individual growth was nurtured. Beyond academics, OLPMC offered opportunities for holistic development. I remember participating in activities like sabayang pagbigkas, doxology, cheering, dancing, art contest, LAPPRISA, and always being part of our annual school play which helped me develop my confidence, public speaking skills and teamwork abilities. This school also instilled important values such as respect, responsibility, and a strong sense of community. Having spent my entire academic life at OLPMC, I witnessed firsthand the school's consistent dedication to providing quality education and a caring atmosphere. It truly felt like a second home, and the friendships and lessons I learned there have stayed with me long after graduation. I worked at WellsFargo, and now as a QA Officer for one of the best non-bank lenders in Australia: Pepper Money, and I owe a significant part of my success to the strong foundation laid by my parents, my dedicated teachers, and the education I received at OLPMC. It's not just me; many of my batchmates have gone on to achieve great things. They are now successful professionals, including international flight attendants, doctors at Asian Hospital, accomplished businessmen/owners, talented musician, magazine chief editor, book author, respected lawyers, journalists, event host, art director and passionate teachers. Many have also built successful lives and careers abroad. My own family is a testament to the quality of education at OLPMC, as all four of us (me and my 3 brothers) are graduates of this institution, with one of my brothers now working as a successful electrical engineer in Singapore. The school uniform, teachers, facilities have changed but my belief in their early years program was the same. It was strong that I enrolled my son in Casa. Despite his time being shortened by the pandemic, his experience was incredibly positive. We witnessed firsthand the continued excellence of their Montessori approach: patient, nurturing teachers in a stimulating environment fostered his development and love for learning through individualized attention. This positive experience as a parent has only solidified my deep trust in the strong foundation OLPMC provides. For parents in Las Piñas looking for a school that provides a strong Montessori foundation in the early years and continues to offer excellent academic and personal development, I wholeheartedly recommend OLPMC. It's more than just a school; it's a community that fosters lifelong learning and growth, and it truly prepares you for a successful future - a legacy I'm now seeing continue with my own child.
