I was excited about a crawfish place opening close to my house. It's sort of your standard cajun place, but I wasn't blown away by the pepper lemon sauce. I would try to go with the combo sauce next time. We got the combo plate for 32$ that came with 1/2 lb of shrimp, crawfish, mussels and clams, with sides of potatoes, sausage and corn. I could have done without the sausages. I liked that the mild was actually mild, as I'm very sensitive to spicy foods. The crawfish tasted off to me. The shrimp was great though, so I would stick to that next time. The clams and mussels weren't anything special. The restaurant itself has a nice ambiance and is a great place to go with family or friends to watch sports while you chow down. But 4 days later and I can still smell the remnants of the sauce on my fingers! It lingers so long. I'm a bit scarred and will probably not come back for awhile. read more

Calamari ($5.50) - it was ok..everything was kind of stuck together. A little too much batter. We also order the combo meal that came with *Garlic noodles- they were garlicky and tasted fresh, I'd definitely order these again! *Fish&Chips- it was ok. We ordered the Cod instead of the catfish and it was good..a little too much batter though & we asked for sweet potato fries which were a little soggy. *Shrimp&Clam Boil that came with potato, corn, & sausage with garlic butter sauce. The flavor of the sauce in the boil was so good! I could not get enough! I wanted to dip everything in it and believe me I tried!! The meal also came with dessert - Fried Oreos with ice cream but we asked for the fried bananas instead. It was ok. Everything that came fried was a little greasy..but the staff was flexible enough to make all the substitutions. They were all very nice also. We did bring our own bottle of wine and the corking fee was a little expensive ($15) when it's usually at most places only ($10) but whatever. We were pretty much happy with everything else. The food here is awesome; we were three, so two shared a combo meal and I got a pound of shrimp, all with the Cajun sauce. Nothing beats seafood and corn drowned in a flavorful garlic butter sauce, that's for sure. I like the shrimp because you get the most actual meat per pound (less shell than anything else), but I also really liked the clams. I also got a lychee mojito, which was really nice and refreshing. The waitress was super attentive and friendly. Pay attention when they tell you that the medium spice level is pretty spicy; I eat Szechuan food on a regular basis and the medium level of spice here was only slightly below the spicier dishes I've had. Also, as previous reviews have said, be ready to make a mess. Wear the bib, have a stack of pre pulled paper towels next to you, and just go nuts. My one complaint is that there was no bread to sop up the leftover sauce and rice just isn't the same. There was bread on the menu last time I was here, but it wasn't there this time. You don't get greeted when you come in, you either sign in and wait forever or seat yourself and wait to be noticed. I don't think I should have to wait to GIVE YOU my business! Orders are taken sluggishly and food takes forever to come out. Drinks taste like they are 5% alcohol. Servers don't come by to check on you and you have to chase them down for your check. My last visit they charged me for food I didn't receive and neglected to bring something I ordered. AND...they were OUT OF CRAWFISH at 3PM!!! This place really needs improvement with service and staff. It was a weekday and I came here wanting to try this place out but it was busy and they did not have enough staff working. There were a lot of other people waiting for a tables as well. It was pretty disorganized. The hostess was way too busy - doing too many things that she shouldn't have to. She seemed flustered and in need of help. The food was okay. I didn't like the cajun fries which was soft and not good at all. They only had 2 different sauces and I ordered a pound of shrimp with garlic sauce - it was just salty. I didn't enjoy it and have had better. Also got the chicken wings which were okay. For $38, it was just okay, the shrimps were definitely the best out of all the shellfish, the mussels were the frozen ones, clams were almost non-existent, and crawfish were tasteless. The service was almost non-existent the whole night. They came around only once during our dinner to take our order and practically disappeared and didn't do any check in on our side (we sat on the dark room on the left), and the waitresses were too hard to get attention. Ludicrously delicious! We had the calamari app with main course of shrimp and crab boil with potatoes and corn and side of garlic noodles a few days ago - and are still thinking about them! Everything was very fresh and perfectly seasoned and cooked. The calamari tasted like it had just swum ashore where it was very lightly battered and cooked to perfection. Great selection of scotches and vodkas. I had Oban on the rocks and my friends had well-crafted martinis. The atmosphere is really fun, friendly and casual. The restaurant is run by an amazing sibling team who are very welcoming, gracious and high-energy. The place has a great vibe. I went through almost a roll of paper towels trying to soak up the sauce from the seafood boil and was given a lobster bib with a smile. There was a bit of a wait between courses, but the food and staff made the wait worthwhile. Just visited for the first time today and ordered king crab legs which were delicious and Cajun wings or "Tony's" wings and let me tell you, they were the best wings I've had in my life! The turn around from when people left their tables and the staff cleaned them wAs EXTRA SLOW. They literally took their time as though no one was waiting for the tables. Almost as though they were taking breaks in between. Once we were finally sat down our water came out quickly. food came out quick also but Wasn't HOT at ALL. Oysters came out with this nasty oil sauce which was literally olive oil with seasoning salt. Once we received food we never saw waiter again. Once we were dOne we waiTed about 30 minutes until i finally got up and asked fOr a to-go container. I also tried to pay the bill when i asked for the container, they swiped my card then said machine was down and if i had cash. I was so glad to leave! Nice staff but very un organized and slow moving. Food was also nothing to write home about. The place was small with large tables. Might help if they get smaller tables so that more people can sit. The "works" combo dinner that contained not only the entire menu's boils, but also garlic noodles, fish and chips, and deep fried Oreos for dessert costs only 50 dollars with tax and is worth it for the amount of food you get. The place is new and a work in progress the service is slow and the interior was clearly left over from the Japanese place that used to occupy the space. this is my worst dining experience!! We have been waiting for the food for an hour! And no one came to us to explain! If I didn't complain to them I think we would be waiting for another hour! About the food, these seafood obviously be prepared in a rush so u basically can not taste any flavor inside the food. BTW the seafood was not fresh at all!! I can totally drive directly to San Jose where the most famous one and the driving time is within one hour!! This was the best decision I made today, (Jan 13th 2018) went here after my sisters graduation. The whole atmosphere is very warm and friendly, same goes for the staff and our server ViVi. Everything was perfect. Also, there is this ghost pepper challenge(its frickn hot....not joking) and my brother attempted it, he failed but the manager was so kind and generous, he gave him a shirt (the reward for beating challenge) anyways. Went to this place to watch a warriors playoff game. Got there about half an hour before tipoff and the was able to get a seat after 10 mins. After sitting down, it took about 15 mins to get service (water and place setting) while one of the two servers were paying attention to one of the large parties there. Very disappointed in the service that I received last night . This was my 3rd time here at 938 , the first 2 times the service was fine.... I arrived at the restaurant at 7pm to put my name on the list , the lady told me it would be a 30-50 min wait and she would text me when our table was ready. 50 mins went by so me and my group went in to see what was going on . As me and another party walked in The manager said that nobody else could come in because of how busy it was so he closed the door. Eventually it is aprox 845 before we got seated . Another 30 mins before we got water after asking on multiple occasions. The waiter rolled her eyes as we ordered and smacked on her gum after we told her a few times what we wanted to order . Eventually we asked for a manager , when he came over he had every excuse in the book as to why we received the horrible ass service we got , over talked us & didnt seem to care one bit. Its 945 & our food finally came out except one item . His friends walked in , sat down , ordered & got there food right away . Its 1030 im still waiting on wings after they said they would be out right away. Welp , didn't receive them until i was walking out the door . After this , I definitely wont be returning . Im sure i could get much better service elsewhere . My friend came in ordered to go , it took her food a hour & a half to come out for it to not be complete . She told them she wanted fried oysters and not raw they told her 10 mins . Welp 30 mins later they still wasn't ready & the rest of her food was cold . So much for the 150$ she spent right .
