These guys do great work when they work, sadly that hardly ever happens. Made an appointment to get 4 or 5 outside outlets fixed and install a new 240V/50Amp circuit outside for a sauna/electric car charger. I was asked to text pictures of what was needed so they had an idea of the scope of the job. Firsts appointment they simply didn't show, finally called very late in the afternoon with the message that they simply couldn't do it in the allotted time but they were going to give me a whole day on the schedule. (Why give me the appointment then??) One day ripped from my life for nothing. Thanks 7M. For the next appointment I took the whole day off and was ready for them at 9AM. That's what I thought a "WHOLE DAY" appointment meant. Nobody showed up. So around 10:30 I called and was told that they were on the way. They showed up an hour and half later. Slow rolling the 20 minute drive I guess. When the guys showed up just before noon they started by assessing the job at hand. They brought 2 GFCI outlets to fix 5, and had never heard of the type of electrical outlet I needed (NEMA 14-50R) to charge my kids electric vehicles. Took all those pictures for them for nothing I guess. They started working on the two outlets I could have easily fixed myself instead of the ones that were puzzling me as to why they didn't work. When they were done with the two easy outlets (about 1PM) they told me they might have to go to Alpine to get supplies. Shortly after I saw their truck pull out and leave. Never to be seen again. So now it's Tuesday and I still didn't hear anything from 7M. So I called. The excuse was, get this, a family emergency of a man that was never involved in the actual work on my house. I'm pretty easy going most of the time. But if you waste two days of my life and get ABSOLUTELY NOTHING DONE I get a bit pissy. It's a small effort to have your office person to grab the phone and call your customer to inform them of what is happening and how you are going to fix it. But even a 2 minute phone call is too much for 7M. Sadly I gave these guys tens of thousands of my hard earned dollars already. About 4-5 years ago after moving in this house, they installed an outside home backup generator for me and they replaced my HVAC unit. They also added a 240V for a new Hot Tub. And you know what, they did a great job. Beautiful work. I have no idea what happened to these guys, they clearly gave up caring, Or they realized there's very little competition in the area, I have no idea. But one thing I do know, I rather go without a sauna than giving them any of my money after wasting two days of my life and not having the decency to let me know why! EDIT: While it took them two days to get nothing done they sure didn't hesitate to bill me for it. Not two hours after I called and told them our relationship was over they billed me $451.38. That's $225.69 to screw in two GFCI outlets. These people have ZERO respect for their customers!!! read more

Charged $500 for a $300 range with free delivery from the manufacturer. Not sure if the range or installation is faulty but two of the five burners have no temp control and burn at highest temp. They also did not measure the underside of the range and the range they ordered was too small for the receptacle, they fabricated a fitted retainer of extremely low quality with sharp edges and gaps. Forget that it took them over a month from when contacted to arrive and then and additional two days to install. We contacted 7M four times within that month and only returned a call when at the door for installation. During the two days it took for installation they decided to leave all their tools in our kitchen and left exposed live wires in the work area. $800 for the installation, for a grand total of $1,407 after tax and a disclaimer on the bill that states: "Any expenses of andy unforeseen issues found after the initial repair or installation of the original quote will be added as additional work upon the customers approval." Terrible experience. I setup an appointment with this company for a Monday at 9AM. At 9:30 I get a call from the technician saying he forgot to put gas in his car and has to turn around before heading to Marfa. He arrives by 10AM and the first thing he does when he opens up my central air unit is let out a big sigh and shake his head. Seriously? This is an old house and the AC isnt working, this can't be the first time you've seen some interesting wiring. The process continued for about 2 hours and the technician wrapped it up by letting me know we'd need a whole new system which wasn't a surprise. He said he'd be able to get me a quote in a week. He flipped a switch on my breaker box to keep electric from running to the hairy wiring and that was about it. I wrote him a check for $90 and appreciated him coming out. Two weeks go by and I still hadn't received a call. I gave them a call to see if the quote would be coming soon and the desk lady said that they would have to send someone else out in order to give me a quote. I told her the guy that already came said he was going to assemble a quote and that never happened. Why did I pay him if someone else was going to have to come as well?? She apologized and said a quote would come in the next week. Now its 5 weeks later and I just called back again to find out where the quote is. At this point Im not really trusting this company to be the ones that receive my business. The desk lady again tells me they havent assembled the quote and that they "are busy". Great for them but I feel scammed out of $90. The technician literally flipped a switch on the breaker box and that was it. Avoid this company unless if you are on a very slow timeline. If bait and switch is your style, these are your guys. We were told it would be a $99 trip charge and that they would arrive at 9:00. At 11:00 the technician still wasn't here and when we finally got a hold of him he said the trip charge would now be $279 instead of $99. That was before any work is done. Shady company that can't even do what they say. Watch out! read more
