Family Mart offers a variety of flavor, but matcha is one of their regulars. Heck, I was really thankful I didn't have to go to a specialty store or abroad to get my matcha ice cream. Ice cream isn't the only thing sold here though. For the unaware, Family Mart is a convenience store like 711. They have the usual convenience store stuff but I find the addition of Japanese goodies very refreshing. They also have their own line of biscuits and cookies, which are worth a try. Family Mart also offers budget meals and ramen. You can even get a plate of maki if they have some available! And all for a small price.

I usually go for their Chicken Mushroom Pot Pie because I want something warm to help me relax (it's a hard thing to do in UP). After that (once I'm relaxed), sometimes I would buy their sundae cone (P30). They have lots of different flavors and they usually change them every month or so. You get to be the one to swirl the sundae onto your cone, so you get to decide how much you want to eat. All these tasty, quick, and reasonably priced meals are a college students dream come true!

Any university student has experienced the need for chips, cigarettes, and acetone at 2AM, and Commonwealth Supermarket is heaven for those late runs. They don't carry tampons, but they do have sanitary napkins that will carry you through the night. They don't have more than one type of acetone, but it does do the job albeit with a little bit more rubbing than usual. That's really all you can ask for sometimes from a grocery store--reliability.

The difference between the Budget asado and Premium asado is the smoky charred flavor of the premium. The chicken was my least favorite. My favorite was the Bola Bola. What you guys need to know about is how Mini Stop has amazing fried chicken. Like seriously, I can say that it's better than Jollibee's or McDonald's. Kind of crazy right? But it's true! It's cheaper too. Their fried chicken has delectably crisp skin, with each bite giving that satisfying crunch. The meat itself is even juicy and tender. Plus, it's not a skinny little thing. You get a lot of meat on your chicken. And if you're craving for dessert after your chicken, Mini Stop also has Hershey's soft serve ice cream. It's only P15, guys. AND IT'S DARK CHOCOLATE. It tastes pretty darn legit. So here I am, swearing by a convenience store.
