This is a densely packed store with lots of tinned, packaged and frozen goods. It's a curious mix of essentials and luxury products like Maggie Beer Elderflower Ice-Cream. Yum! Fresh food comes in the form of bread or milk, so best pop to the Greengrocer a few shops down if you want something living. They have the occasional English chocolate bar in, so worth keeping an eye out if you're a Double Decker or Wispa fan. The chap who owns it is friendly. He's a friendly grocer though not so friendly as to have a listed phone number. Go in and see him instead.

I have come in here for a packet of seaweed (instead of crisps) on many an occasion and ended up drunk-shopping and going home with bags of ramen, seaweed, kimchi... it's all here & super-cheap! They also serve 32cm soft-serve ice cream cones here for like $2.80 or something, which is ridiculous and has to be seen to be believed.

This small new Woolies has taken over the old CommBank site, filling it with aisles of snacks, convenience foods and ready-to-eat goods. I don't think I've seen anything like it - not as big or well stocked as a supermarket, not as exxy and poorly stocked as a convenience store, it's perfect for busy workers rushing to or from work and in need of a grab-and-go meal. There's even a cafe onsite selling the cheapest coffee and cakes in Surry - $3 brownies, say whaaaaat? I'm yet to try the coffee here yet but boy has it been handy when I've been running to/from Central and needed to pick up a bag of washed spinach, a tub of yoghurt, a pack of bikkies or a bit of fresh fruit. It opens til late, heck it may even be open 24/7* - say whaaaaat? *don't quote me on that #wishfulthinking, but I'll check next time I swing by

I had eaten a rather bland noodle soup for lunch and despite the amount of liquid a soup supplies, I needed a drink, if for no other reason than to provide some flavour to my disappointed taste buds. I walked into the Sussex Convenience Centre as I was near and I had seen a man sitting out the front smoking a cigarette and drinking a Chi and as I do enjoy them, I thought, 'Ooh, wouldn't I like a Chi'. (True Story) I entered and was met by at least four different fridges, stocked full of drinks and refreshing beverages all eager to drench my throat and make me indulge in the summer antics of fluid plus mouth equals refreshment... Squared. A very stocked and diverse convenience shop and one that may have what you're looking for should you be unable to find it elsewhere. (A lot of imported sugary treats, but no Chi to be seen.
