It's a smaller 7-11 on the corner of St Kilda Rd and Commercial. I usually only come here to top up my Myki but on occasion have ventured down for a box of the Krispy Kreme's that they sell. It's 24 hours, that's a good thing. read more

Nothing out of the ordinary here, you'll get your milk and bread and other essential items, at exorbitant prices! They don't have a great stock range though, so don't rely on them for anything other than the absolute necessities. The reason I love this milk bar in particular is because Dave HUGHESY Hughes shops here - regularly! And, if you're lucky enough and spoil yourself to a delish breakfast/brunch next door at Greasy Joe's on a weekend, you might just spot the funny man himself, coming back from the Espy after a big night, popping in to grab his paper. Only in St Kilda. AWESOME!!

If you're ever found yourself desperately hunting for a food item no one seems to stock, you need to check here first. I come for my Mexican fix. Corn flour or ready-made tortillas, El Cielo sauces, real agave for margaritas, and just about every other hot sauce, chipotle and salsa type imaginable. USA food addicts and expats can stock up on everything from Pop Tarts to twinkies. It's the kind of place you can get easily carried away with on first visit, so thankfully they have a Yelp check-in offer and we scored 10% off our impulse hot sauce spree.

I can pick up a 1ltr container of coconut or Maple water for under $4 here and sometimes they have bulk specials. They stock all the great brands like Zebra vegan ice cream, RAW protein & FOG milk. Apart from the healthy stuff, I love their huge range of American food. Candy, Cereal, sauces and products we find really hard to get our hands on here in AUS. They also stock Indian & Brazilian food too. I love that they are open 24/7. If you're in the area or in need of any ingredients that are rare, I urge you to give this store a try.

Well Vintage Cellars ticks both of those boxes. You won't find any wines here that would be more suited being sold in a goon sack and there are specials of great wines always scattered throughout the store. I also like the way they do their specials. They seem to like offering two wines at remarkably cheaper prices that buying a single. Its not like I need to be encouraged to buy two bottle of vino, so I am happy to get the discount. Vintage Cellars have their own brand of cleanskins as well. Which are mostly around the $10 mark and in my experience are all really good wines. Their beer selection isn't all that bad either.

Even though they are small, they have what most people are looking for such as small convienent snacks, sandwiches, drinks, and pastries. I was looking for a quick freshly handmade snacks and found daily made sandwiches with lots of varieties and price ranges. A picked up flavored bottled water that was also reasonably priced. They will not provide a bag for you and many people bring their own bags or use existing carry-ons to transport their purchases. I will probably stop by this store again before leaving Melbourne at the end of the week.

It's on the small side for a milk bar and therefore has less of a selection than most, and there seems to be a disproportionate focus on cleaning products amongst its stock. Maybe think twice about cycling as there are no bike racks, but the area is relatively safe and customers are well presented and friendly. On Wednesdays they usually have a special on sandwiches for $2, and the Slurpee machine has different flavours depending on the time of the year (lamington flavour is my favourite). The coffee machine is often very busy during weekdays, and on occasion they run out of the medium sized $2 paper cups. Loaves of bread can be purchased in white, wholemeal and wholegrain varieties. At the rear of the store is an ATM, a well-stocked pie and sausage roll section and iced-coffee is also available with ice-cubes in a refrigerated cabinet (but I haven't tried those yet). Staff are attentive, ready to offer assistance and of a reasonable height. This 7-11 is also a petrol station, which is very handy if you have a car. The Freddo frogs (although simple) was a big deal at the time, like my office survival kit: especially during the last three months of my corporate career. They would always have specials for buying four Freddo frogs of different varieties at any given moment, and this convenience store would run the occasional competition where a pre-paid Visa card was up for grabs to entice you into buying more chocolate which stocked up my survival kit when one needed it stocked up the most.
