Like any typical convenience store in Sydney, York X'Press Convenience store carries MyBus tickets,…read morefood, newspapers, and the like. But unlike most convenience stores where the clerks are surly and hard to communicate with, York X'Press employs the best staff. The lady that works there is always ready to chat and eager to help. It's a huge contrast to many convenience stores in Sydney. Though you wouldn't come here for the great décor, you'll definitely come back because of their great service. You wouldn't know how helpful a few nice words are in a day until you've talked to the lady there and you come out smiling. Definitely a place I'd recommend.

These days eating a pie is like playing Russian Roulette and so often eating a plain meat pie is like an endurance challenge, trying to navigate between the meat and the gristle while trying to keep the pie from completely falling apart and burning your hand, if it is actually served beyond look warm that is. It seems the only safe way to go is to buy gourmet pies from specialty pie shops, which are often overpriced and sometimes not that great, just not that bad. Well If you are looking for more than "not that bad" try the pies at Paddington.Fresh Foods Their pies are reasonably priced and amazing. To be honest, I cannot offer judgement on all their pies as I only ever eat the lamb and rosemary pie, it is just so delicious, I can't resist it whenever I go there. The meat is high quality, no gristle to be found and it is the perfect pie. Also they make amazing Belgian chocolate brownies, so you can get lunch and dessert for less than $10.
