It looks chaotic from the outside because it's in Radhuspladsen but when you walk in, you'll find a clean and well-organized convenience store. Probably the nicest 7-Eleven I've ever seen. They have fresh fruits and vegetables, fresh bakery items (cookies, doughnuts, muffins, brownies, pastries), hot food items (empanadas, pizza, sandwiches, bread...the taquitos look sus though - they look like fried/ baked tube of puff pastry), and your typical convenience items. I only grabbed drinks and snacks. There's this chocolate milk called Cocio that tasted nice. The times I've been here were pretty odd times: early morning before touring the city and at night when I'm ready to go back to my hotel. So, it was never crowded and busy. But I can see locals that work in the city center that would grab a quick breakfast here before heading to work.

Of course, there are the usual fruits/veggies, but they seem to have a little more specialty items like vacuum packed cheeses and meats. A whole fridge is dedicated to a brand of yogurt. Specialty Haribo gummies, crazy chocolates from around the world and grasshopper/worm snacks line the walls. Fine ice creams in freezer. It is one of those places that you can go into and find that something that you never knew you needed, a unique gift, and/or the everything else. I saw a ton of beer, including Carlsberg, next to the Coke products. I have never seen anything like that before. It was almost 9 am. I didn't feel like beer. I had some willpower. I saw a chocolate croissant. I wanted it, but the chicken skewer was calling my name. I needed some protein to keep me sustained for a bit. I was pleased that the man behind the counter spoke English. I asked for a chicken skewer and proceeded to pay for my goodies using my credit card. He advised that I could either pay in Canadian funds (the machine defaults to the currency of whatever country your credit card is from) or in Danish funds. I went with Canadian, entered my PIN, and paid for my purchases. The Coke Lite hit the spot. I was thirsty. The chicken skewer was fine. It was seasoned nicely, but the chicken seemed a bit rubbery at times. Still, I was glad that it erased my hunger pangs. As expected, buying stuff at the airport is expensive. My two purchases were just under $10 CAD. For the convenience of going in and coming out two minutes later with what I needed, I have no complaints. (301)

Without any adapter, we would be unable to charge any of our equipment like cell phones and tablets. So, we stopped by WH Smith at the Copenhagen, Denmark Airport. They had a few adapter choices with different prices. I purchased the cheapest one which still costed about $15 U.S. Dollars. Well, it broke after one use!!! Purchase at your own risk. Maybe, they would exchange or give a refund. Won't know because I probably won't be back at this location for a long time. :(

Located on the corner across from the busy university, this little shop offers up quick deli…read moresnacks, cold drinks, coffee, and odds/ends for visitors to the area. This country shuts down, literally, during the holidays and we were in a mad dash to locate shampoo and body soap. While they did carry staples such as toothpaste and toothbrushes, there was no shampoo. Despite that, it was interesting to note the differences in the stores here in the US and stores abroad. This shop also offered shots of juice that resembled wheat grass, energy infusions from juice blends, and healthier alternatives. I also became addicted to the Vitamin Well water fortified with vitamin C and E in order to stave off any possible colds during my travels. The store interior also reflects Scandinavian simplicity and design: clean, clear advertising, and maneuverability within packed into a small space. While prices here were relatively the cheapest compared to other shops, the staff persons were understanding that I spoke no English and were able to assist me with my requests and purchases with no issue. Second, they were open on Christmas Day when really nothing was, so it helped us when we were looking for a snack after exploring Nyhavn.
