It was closer than walking to Randall's across the street. The man who was cashier claimed to be the manager took forever to acknowledge I was there so I could pay for my items. When I retuned to the garage, I finished my fountain drink only to find a dead fly at the bottom with the ice cubes. I was appalled!!! The cashier/ manager accused me of being there 3 hours before and said there was no way there could be a fly in the cup even after I showed it to him!!!! I-10 runs from Santa Monica's Pacific Ocean in the West LA burbs, all the way to Jacksonville on the Atlantic Coast, and a little over halfway across starting from Cali, you will run into this gas station just before you get into Houston proper. It's a pretty good convenience store and they sell Barbi's fave water, and have a bathroom you can use after that long drive across the T to the X, and in general are a pretty good place to stop for gas right off the highway, and not too expensive, and it's open 24 hours which is a huge bonus.
