The Homewood 7-Eleven is a 24 hour gas station/ convenience store located on the corner of 183rd and Kedzie. The location is across the street from a Jewel, Big Lots, Dollar Tree, Breakfast restaurant, and Popeyes chicken. This is a great location in town as it is not competing with a a lot of other gas stations. (Have you seen those city locations with a gas station in all 4 corners????). It is neat and clean and organized. There is plenty of coffee, 16 Big Gulp drink options, and 8 Slurpee flavor options. The shelves are appropriately stocked with chips, cupcakes, and candy. Also, there are other convenient items in stock. As far as gas, there are 8 pumps. What earns this store a 5 stars? Customer service. I stopped in for coffee during the free coffee week. My 7 Eleven app was not acting right (I have to report the issues with the darn app). After a few minutes of struggling with my app, the owner/ manager allowed me to leave with my free cup of coffee. He said, " You can just take the coffee, and fix your app at home. Have a good day!" Now, that's great customer service. ... read more

If you want your credit card stolen, use this gas station. I got gas there, it was the only charge I made on that card, started getting charges all over the place including that gas station again. Stay away. Tried to call them with the phone number listed online, sounded like a fax machine, no way to call them. read more

Do not patronize the 7 Eleven on 183rd and Kedzie. This morning I needed change for my commute, so I went to ask if they had cash back. The first attendant said with a $3 purchase cash back is available. Instead, I used their ATM to get a $20, and grabbed a bottle of water to break it. The older male attendant with much attitude told me "I'm not giving you change for this." I'm like sir I used your ATM only to receive change. Confused, and shocked I grabbed the water without realizing it. This man went ballistic, on me and ran to me screaming "do you want me to arrest you?" He then grabbed my arm, and snatched the water from me. My 5 & 7 year olds were standing behind me screaming, and crying because this man made an attempt to harm their mother over a small misunderstanding. I'm shocked, hurt, and expected way more professional behavior in this area. I'm sure I'm not the first to have been affected by such nonsense at this establishment. read more
