Before heading onto Hamlet's Castle, we saw something unexpected at the train station in Helsingor Denmark. There was a 7-Eleven Convenience Store!! Sorry, but they do not sell Slurpees here. They do sell lots of other cool items at fair value prices. We bought some goodies from their fresh bakery display case. Surprisingly the two donuts I ate were very good!! Cannot recall the flavors, but they were both delicious!! My wife bought a croissant which was so yummy too. We ended up buying more of them after visiting the castle!! They may have been the best of the many croissants we tried during our European vacation. Honestly, this 7-Eleven store was better than most 7-Eleven stores in the USA. It was very clean. Staff was courteous. Reasonable prices. Awesome and fresh baked goods!! Oh thank heaven for 7-Eleven!! read more

Not a lot goes on in Helsingor. It's an old maritime town with equal parts Danish and Swedish due to the proximity. If youre waiting for a train in. The station there's even less. Ok so there's one restaurant and 7 Eleven. Replete with town drunk that the staff seem to know, it's where you get a beverage and people watch. read more
