I think 3.5 is probably appropriate. We had a fine experience there, albeit the entrance was a bit difficult to locate. The security downstairs was helpful after seeing us pacing back and forth trying to locate the damn bar.
Interior was very dark but chill. I definitely liked the vibes! Service was friendly too.
Strangely though the two drinks I wanted were both out (this was around 7:50pm ish on a Monday night) since they were the two most popular drinks. I ended up choosing Earfquake, while my hubby settled on the matcha high ball. Hate to say it but the Earfquake drink was a miss, tasted like a cheap sugary watered down margarita. The clear ice cube stamped with 686 logo was a nice touch. The matcha drink was much more interesting and complex; the bitterness from match worked well with the bubbles. My two other friends were not too terribly impressed by their drinks so we left shortly after ordering 1 round of drinks.
Maybe we went on an off night. But I think that the food and cocktail competition is really high in CDMX so I think if you're crunched for time you should prioritize getting a reso at Licoreria Limantour (I was able to snag one 2 days prior) instead, and save this spot for future travels to CDMX instead. read more
