Prestige real estate is the sales side while 5 star properties is the rental side. If you cannot trust a rental property management, then you should not expect them to be any better at selling houses. These people will do anything they can to take your money. I will never trust another management with reviews like the ones they have. Paul Liggins ( 5 Star Properties) is nothing but a arrogant, cocky slumlord. Everyone should read the reviews and realize none of them are good. That is a huge sign that everyone should stay far away from this company and its sister company entirely. Hunter rentals, Morris realty, Lone Star and Linnemann properties are some really good rental and sales companies. Trust them before you trust another Paul Liggins. I'm not exactly sure how a person can take every tenant's security deposit and yet the repairs weren't done prior to a new tenant moving in. Or how a man can give you a piece of paper saying these are the damages that you need to fix prior to moving out or you will be charged a certain amount of money. Then when you get your deposit over a month and a 1/2 after moving out, not only did Paul Liggins took your entire deposit but has the audacity to send you a bill. He has made a business of stealing deposits and not using it to repair damages. He just waits for the next tenant to come to 5 star properties so he can do it all over again. Obviously, the rental side isn't doing their job right. They walk through the house with the prior tenants during inspections and not fix the repairs so that the new tenants are not responsible. Not to mention how good Paul is at playing stupid by saying he must of missed it during the last inspection. Yet, tells you that you have to fix it because apparently you missed it too. So if the rental side of stealing people's deposits then why would you trust their sales side? 5 star properties Inc and Prestige real estate are in the same building. Paul Liggins, you are a slumlord and a miserable human being out to take everyone's deposits because you feel like you're entitled somehow. . I lived in 1011 Bonner Dr. in Killeen. This piece of shit did not know there were 3 bullet holes in the window and joking said maybe I put them there. He didn't know there were holes in the extremity cheap doors to the bedrooms or any other damages that he failed to have repaired. Didn't fix the loose fence, $30 wooden/cardboard peeling doors, doors stoppers, smoke detectors, holes in the garage walls, broken bar window frames that wouldn't lock and doors to all the kitchen cabinets and drawers. Please tell me how this man has taken every tenants deposits and none of these things were fixed prior to a new move in. He did a walk through with me and his assistant and told me to fix a number of things and gave me a paper with the cost of I don't. I didn't fix all the things he told me to fix which was under $300.00. I get my deposit over a month and a half later. Not only did he take my entire deposit of $775 but had the nerve to send me a bill. So, what he did was took my entire deposit and sent me a bill for the things he felt needed fixing. Not what I'm actually responsible for. I should have gotten at least a minimum of 300.00 back. That's Paul Liggins for you. If you rent through 5 Star Properties, just know he does this with every tenant. Here is a most recent upset tenant! They don't even deserve 1 star. This company needs to get shut down and I don't know who would be stupid enough to rent from these people or have there property managed by them after all these bad reviews. I am also a victim of the less to no deposit back, no emails calls returned etc. I even had before pictures of the terrible cleaning I moved into and they didn't honor that when they compared there cleaning to they way I left it. Mind you the house was cleaner when I returned it to them then when I received it. Had my family and me waiting 30 mins for them to show up for move out walk through, mind you they were not there when I did my move in walk through nor was the water or electric on so everything was done in dark. Charged me 80 for someone to go in and clean after I cleaned just to wipe down a toilet seat 1 ceiling fan finish wipe down on stove and a random shelf in closet! While I did all the scrubbing in bathtubs showers oven fridge baseboards etc. Then charged me 130 for a quarter sized hole on a closet door and 150 to clean carpets that weren't even bad. Then another 100 to replace light bulbs and door stoppers. Really!? Mind you this property is owned by a family relative so of course I'm not going to damage house and clean as best as I can.
