This place has been opened 3 months according to the wife. The husband worked for over 25 years in the restaurant industry before deciding to open his own place! The food is prepared when you order it and it's the reason why they didn't go the route of the buffet. The ambiance is great with light music playing and enough room so that everyone can spread out and enjoy their meals. The food is delicious and has just enough kick (the samosas were too strong for me but I liked every second of it!). I got the butter paneer which was creamy and delicious at a spice level of 3. It was just enough to kick my butt the more I ate on. My BF got the lamb tikka with a spice level of 5 and really, really enjoyed it. The naan is HUGE and well worth the price. Delicious and crispy, as well. My only qualm was that the tea was charged per cup, but that's not worth removing a star or whatever for it. Will definitely be coming back! read more

I ordered garlic nan and channa masala with paneer. The food was quite delightful, freshly prepared, and delicious. The garlic nan was very soft and baked to perfection. The channa masala was equally tasty and flavorful with the perfect blend of spices and seasoning. The ambiance is pretty chill, and the restaurant is fairly clean. The waitress was very positive and professional. The music videos on the tv were quite entertaining as well. I had a craving for Indian and went to a new restaurant called "5 Rivers." It's in Everett. In a space that used to be a Mexican grill. I'm sure you'll know the venue when you see it. Anyways- GO! It was so fantastic. The absolute best butter chicken that I have had in forever. Flavor was on point. I don't like a lot of heat (shame, I know) and I went for 2 spice. I could have handled 3 here. So, level up on spice if that suits you. My 14yo and I went for lunch today. We had samosas (pictured), garlic naan (we dove in too fast for a picture) and we split the butter chicken (pictured). Last evening, we decided to celebrate my husband's birthday with an Indian carry-out. Our go-to local restaurant had closed and we hadn't a clue where to start with an alternative :( So we opened our laptops and searched. 5 Rivers Indian Cuisine seemed to be getting wonderful reviews - so we took a chance. WOW, SO GLAD WE DID. We both ordered dishes we had not previously tasted and from the first mouthful, had fallen in love with our new go-to carry-out. Five Rivers has been my family's favorite restaurant for years, and even now we will still make the 30 min drive from Seattle, even just to pick up take out. The food is incredible. We have tried so many new things, and even the classics like Butter Chicken or Palak Paneer are so far above any others we have ever had. Not only is the food insanely good, but the people who work at 5 rivers are some of the sweetest, kindest and most thoughtful people I have met. Every time we come in we are treated like family, and are left in a great mood, even just picking up! This most excellent restaurant was recommended to me and I am so glad it was. The food here is fresh, hot out of the oven or off the stove, made of quality ingredients, authentic and absolutely delicious. Not too long ago 5-Rivers Indian Cuisine suffered some fire damage. As a result dining inside the restaurant is not currently an option. They are open for business on a delivery or pick up and take out option. That was not a problem for me as I was determined to make the drive. Everything on the menu is unequivocally delectable, the portions generous, 5-Rivers charges a fair price for their superior food and expertise labor they invested in my wonderful dining experience. In addition the staff went out of the way to make me feel welcome, valued and comfortable as I waited for my order to be prepared. We ordered a mixture of items from appetizers to main entrees for a 50 people outdoor event and our guests absolutely loved it. The Lamb Korma and Chicken Boti Kabob were on point and flavorful. However, the key item that really took it over the top were the Tandoori Prawns, everybody was raving about this and definitely not something you would typically find, so I highly recommend. This is THE spot for tasty Indian! Great portion sizes, and reasonable prices! We recently placed a large online order for takeout (over $100 order) and the owner recommended us to just call and place it if we are picking up because the prices are better and the owner doesn't need to share a percentage for using the online ordering service. So if you plan to pick up the food yourself I recommend ordering over the phone to support your small businesses! Other than that, the food was ready quickly, the portions are excellent and all of it was still hot when we picked up. Due to our large order the owner even tossed in a free dessert and extra rice free of charge. So kind!! Naan bread is large and well worth the price. If you are on the fence about it, JUST GET IT! Everything had a wonderful blend of textures and tasted oh so flavorful! Coconut curry was the favorite all around, and biryani was a close second. All 5 adults loved everything we tried and we ordered at least 7-8 things. Between 5 hungry people we were all stuffed by the time we were finished but there was still a ton left over which made for a great lunch the next day. Three stars are an average of 4 stars for the food and 2 stars for the (tragically) burned dining area. I intend to come back for the food, which is only available for takeout until repairs are completed, because the flavors and quantities of each dish are extraordinary. I am a sucker for Makhani chicken, and the chef does a great job with it (if a tad too sweet for my taste). I also had Baingan Bharta (eggplant curry, excellent ) and Parantha as well as onion naan: tasty and large! I hope this nice family-operated restaurant is able to rebuild and I'll be back! Husband and I were going around the sound for our wedding anniversary and as we were on the Clinton to Mukilteo ferry I used Yelp to help us find a restaurant that was still serving after 9pm on a Saturday night. Yes, this wonderful restaurant was open till 10! During this pandemic it was take out orders only but that was just fine for us, as we were planning on having a picnic at our favorite park anyway. We ordered the lamb Royal Biryani, prawn Butter Masala, mint Naan, mango Lassi for me and salty Lassi for my mate. This might be TMI but it was so good we were moaning in pleasure as all those flavors just melted on our tongues. The son of the cook was very kind and helpful, his mother was just a sweetheart! We ordered food for take out during the quarantine as I was craving indian food and golgappe. We had heard good things and were excited. I was afraid it was going to live up to the hype and omg did it surpass! We ordered golgappe, veggie and chicken appetizers with butter chicken and paneer and bharta for our entrees with garlic naan. The naan were super soft and fluffy with the perfect amount of garlic. The appetizers were all delicious and the golgappe were just perfect! The butter chicken was probably the best I've ever had. I had ordered everything at 4 star and it was the perfect amount of spice. The whole family is raving at how great the food is. Best Indian food in the Everett area. Just gotta say MY favorite place is an Indian restaurant off Northgate, exit 173. However, since I've moved to Everett about 3 years ago I have ordered Indian food from 5 Rivers almost every week during the pandemic. Then recently they were unavailable for a few months. I have finally been able to order from them again. I think they suffered from a fire and had to close for a bit. Last week I was finally able to eat their delicious cuisine. This restaurant was nearby and looked like a promising, hole-in-the-wall type of joint. We were immediately greeted by a polite young man and seated at a table of our choice. The selection was fairly standard Indian dishes, with a few specialty dishes. We ordered 2 meals to share, some garlic naan, and a mango lassi each. The naan was thick, hot, and perfect! The sauces came in giant ketchup and mustard (yellow and red) squeeze bottles, which was a bit sus at first blush... but the mint sauce is probably the best I've ever had! Both were delicious and complemented the naan very nicely. Our entrees came out fast. Butter masala with paneer, and korma with lamb. The serving sizes were perfect, and you get a lot for the price. We took home leftovers, but not a whole lot. And it didn't stop at the food! Our server was the chef's wife, I think they're the owners. She was very friendly and we chatted a great deal.
