It…read morewas the perfect amount of scary (really good jump scares, creepy characters, but nothing too aggressive or violent). The staging in the entrance area was really good! Lots of little photo opportunities and a bar, which was thoroughly decorated and was playing classic horror movies! Although the wait to get in was a little longer than expected, the actual experience itself was fun! It was kind of a maze, but nothing too challenging. The staging in each room was really good--a lot better than expected! There were jump scares throughout and a cute photo opportunity at the very end. My biggest gripe with this experience is that it was a little short, especially compared to how long we had to wait to get in.

My tickets were for 8, but I didn't get to go in until 9 because the line was slow. We did get to see two showings of an aerialist in line, which did help make it a bit more bearable. However, you figure out that the line is so slow because they do a good job of keeping each group small and spaced out, allowing you to enjoy the haunted house at your own pace. The house was actually a well decorated maze, so it was a puzzle trying to figure out where to go. The actors cannot touch you, but there was a good amount of jump scares. We ended up taking 20-25 minutes to go through the maze. There were also a couple photo opportunities inside. We exited into a gift shop and went to the bar which had a drag show (i think this was a special and isn't a regular occurrence, so it was a nice surprise). i also love that there were lots of photo ops outside. I didn't pay for my tickets and $40 sounds a little steep but it was fun, and I'm seeing some discounts available for specific dates and MEA weekend, so I would say it's worth it if you find a discount day!

Some of the illusions are things you've probably seen online, and my wife got dizzy from a few. We had the entire Museum to ourselves and enjoyed taking our time. Staff was very helpful with camera position recommendations and explanations. That said, I do wish there was a bit more to do. The space isn't very big, and it took less than an hour to go through everything. For the price, I expected a few more interactive elements or unique illusions. Overall, I'd recommend it if you're already at the Mall of America and want to do something a little different--especially with friends or family. It's a good spot to laugh, take creative pictures, and see some reality-bending visuals. Just go in knowing it's a short experience and maybe plan something else afterward to make the most of your day!

Also, while it's cool, the price point might feel a bit high for the length of the visit. Overall, it's a unique stop if you're at MOA and looking for something different and interactive. Great for families, quick entertainment, and fun photo ops for insta influencers or grandmas looking to be hip - just go in knowing it's more of a short experience than a half-day outing. Big shout out to Kimberly. A very kind staff member for helping to understand displays and take pictures.

When I looked them up they offer laser tag, nerf gun tag and VR experience. We decided to try the nerf gun experience. You can do it in 30 min intervals or hour intervals. If you don't do it often 30 mins is plenty it's a lot to running around and your adrenaline going'. Tons of fun and ridiculously intense! When we went it was a very small group just 4 of us with one random person. Make sure to wear eat wear. They can provide it for you or get your own. Definitely want to go again but make sure to dress comfy and to sweat.

Grid, laser room, portals, and Mega Grid were definitely our favorites. My 6 year old had a blast; it's great for kids and adults. The games are relatively easy to figure out except the first room on the right, we tried that one a couple times and were confused. Once we got to Grid with the lights on the floor it was great and did it about 6 times. HIGHLY recommend. An hour seems short outside, but we were exhausted after 30 minutes. It gets addicting trying to win but I think longer than that would have sweat all the way through our clothes! Thanks for a great time while in MN!

Grilled squid was $30, Tanghulu had candy coating only on the front side (also $30), and most other items started at $11-$15. I did like the K-pop group dance performances and other entertainment tucked into the corner of the fest--it gave it some nice energy. Since this was their first Twin Cities run, I gave them a little grace. But the whole time slot system was a mess... "sold out online" yet still selling $20 tickets at the door to anyone who walked up. Hopefully year two is a little more organized--with lessons learned, fingers crossed!

There's for sure pros and cons. I may come back and update with more details later on but I'll leave at that for now. I was in FRI/SAT via vol but the lines were wrapped. Despite them having time slot tickets, many people showed up whenever and were still allowed in, which is accommodating but at the same time caused longer lines and larger crowds to move through. Also was a sold out event but they had time slots where you can purchase a ticket at the gate. As for the food- they did have a lot of repetitive booths even some right across from each other which put in perspective that the entry fee should have been much lower, it wasn't a TON of unique vendors. They did have cute trendy foods but the prices were a bit high for just trying something because it's "aesthetic". There were a ton of boba places (which I love boba) but for minimum of 10$+ for a cup I'd rather walk the 3-4 minutes over to the mall and grab something for a few $ less and more options. I did love to see Càphin there & some other locals. They had super cute panda merch but it was TAXED to the max imo for what it was. They didn't have much signage to help people navigate especially to the exit. So that would have been helpful. Also more seating or even standing tables for people to rest and put things down from time to time would have been nice especially at a food event. There's some other things I didn't care for that reflect my star rating but I'd rather address elsewhere but would be a better event if they organized a bit more and were/open to feedback.
