One of the few places opened when we stayed in Escalante-shortage of workers. However the food, the beverage, and the hospitality of the owner were top notch. We enjoyed sitting at the bar and learning a bit about the town of Escalante from the bartender/owner himself. Some great local craft bears coupled with a delicious plate of pork carnitas nachos made for time well spent after a travel day. Will definitely stop here again if in the area. We had so much fun here, we only ordered drinks but the food looked good too. They have a whole wall of board games, the owners were really friendly. I'm definitely coming back here on my vacation next year. If you are driving hwy 12, you should make this a stop on your list. read more

Delicious nachos and tacos (the salsa is delightfully smoky). The staff is wearing masks and doing their best to navigate the new norm. We ordered at the bar - as they said it would be a much smoother process this way. And it was. Good cocktails and beer. The pours are low compared to what I'm accustomed to but I think this is a Utah thing. Highly recommend this place for delicious bites on your Hwy 12 / Escalante adventures! read more

There are not many restaurant options in Escalante after 8p but the Pub is one of them. My wife and I had paninis and we were pleasantly surprised. The paninis are homemade and tasty, albeit a bit overpriced. read more

We're staying at the Inn at Escalante. FYI if you want a wonderful memory and a unique experience stay there. We were walking and spotted this place!!! What a find! We walked in the door and Dave welcomed us. That was the beginning of having great conversation with him, great drinks and atmosphere. If you're looking for a cold beer or a vodka soda after a long day on the trails or canyoning through the slots, this is your stop. One of the only bars in Utah we've found where you don't get a lecture on Utah alcohol law or forced to eat something, it makes us midwesterners feel right at home. We didn't try the food although I'm sure it's just fine, but the (relatively) long beer list and service was top notch. Pool table, foosball, board games and great novel book exchange shelf-- lots to do to fill time between dinner and star gazing. I hope next time I pass through Escalante, 4th West will be here. read more

We arrived on a Friday night about 8:00. It was mostly full inside with locals, all happily chatting. We got a pastrami panini. My husband said it was so good that he would come back for just for the sandwich, and we live 1500 miles away. Oh, and there was live music that we enjoyed. read more

Great service, great food and drinks, great hang out space. Loved it! Jennifer and owner Dave were great. Orders chips and poco de Gallo, which was made fresh. Also got the steak tacos, which was $7 for 3 of them. Friend got the steak panini and he loved it. Ordered a few drinks and played pool. Had a great time! Driving north from Zion, we found no where to eat or drink. Until we got to Escalante, Utah where we stumbled into this absolute gem. Great place to stop for a drink and food in Escalante! Just a block away from Escalante Outfitters, it's the perfect place to unwind after a long day if you're staying there. Dave, the owner, was tending the bar when we were there and was extremely nice and friendly. The tacos were tasty and the beer was good. Highly recommend. read more

We came in for a quick drink when we discovered Circle D was closed and what a happy accident! Dave, the barman, was very welcoming. He pulled a decent Guinness and made me a lovely G & T. We ended up staying for dinner and the paninis Marian made us were delicious. Highly recommend! read more

Visiting in Escalante and wanted to reward our long day of hiking with a beer--found this place and were so happy!! Unlike all the other establishments in Escalante, the purchase of food with alcohol is not required here. The owners were both incredibly friendly and they offer a good variety. We hoped to stop back after dinner for another drink, but the hiking caught up to us--if we are ever back in Escalante though, we will for sure return!! read more

We were in town on a girls rv/hiking trip for a 30th bday. We came here to celebrate (7 of us) and they were so accommodating, giving us the back room where we could play pool, dance, eat & drink. After a long drive or hike, this is your watering hole. The beer will be cold, the tacos simple quality, and hosts attentive. A couple local on-draught brews hit the I'm done driving spot, and it's a comfortable and clean place besides. Thats what you need right? It's what I needed. I don't think you came to Escalante for the nightlife. I didn't. I came for Canyons, but was glad I could relax at 4th West Pub for a bit. read more
