I've driven past it many times without noticing it in previous locations and apparently it's been around for 12 years. Oops. I like the decor, especially the chandeliers and the change rooms. Kudos to the owner for hanging hand held mirrors, allowing you to check out your rear view while trying on clothes. I value this a lot, especially when trying on pants. I literally bring a compact mirror while shopping just for this reason, so I noticed the hand held mirrors right away. I like that Stasia sells some higher end clothing because I can't seem to find formal business attire in good condition in most other consignment stores in the city. I scored a $400 Danier leather coat for $38. There's a $10 rack and all clothes that don't sell after 3 months are reduced by 50%, which may be normal for many consignment stores, but you can take your chances and wait for something that seems pricey to more closely meet your thrift shopping budget if you want that brand name item. When I return, I'll likely find out if they will tell you when something will go on sale if it hasn't sold.

But you can be sure that there is a variety to choose from - vintage, high end, clean, neat, never worn, designer. You can just shop to your hearts content not being pressured to take something home. The deals are incredible. The jewellery and accessories are top notch. I laugh when I read some of the other reviews about Rose and Lofty Ladies. I too have asked to bring clothes in. Rose knows how much she can take and how much she can store. It makes me shake my head when I see ladies bring in clothes without calling first or those that are offended Rose didn't have time to chit chat over the phone or in person. She's a small business basically there by herself. I have had articles donated that didn't sell. Rose can't store my clothes until some future date when I come to pick them up. The reason I took it to Rose was to see if they could be resold before I donated them. I think some money is better than no money and its not like the donated clothes went to the garbage they went to help organizations in need. She's one of my favorite shopping destinations and always will be.

I was browsing with other people in tow and I think I'd prefer to return by myself, as I'd like to spend more time here. Be aware that it's crowded and I'd not recommend bringing a large purse inside or kids. The owners have another business inside the shop called Back to Coffee Beans, which sells coffee, tea, syrups, etc. You can also purchase a beverage and other sweets while you're there but they don't have a sit down area.

Ahhhh I love Value Village…read more The main reason to visit this location in Saskatoon was to pick up some clothes for my buddies Sean and Shane to wear. Part of the deal of having me play with their team at the indoor ultimate tournament I attended in Saskatoon was that I got to pick what they wore for one of our games. So where else do you head but Value Village? I ended up picking out a skirt and a women's shirt (fishnet no less) for both guys to wear. It was hilarious and well worth the ~$15 bucks it cost me. Bonus was that Sean found a pair of his basketball shoes on the shelf that he lost the year prior at the U of S. Not bad finding your old pair of shoes haha.

We got a beautiful palliser dresser that was brand new and a Herman Miller couch! The couch alone would be 7000 in Vancouver. To get the furniture delivered was only $25 and what a nice couple of guys. These guys were handsome and well dressed; not your typical delivery guys. Giving 2 men a tip had never been so satisfying. We'll definitely shop here again.

David and his associates are certainly very helpful and knowledgeable. David also offers a wide…read morevariety of suits and pretty much anything one might need as far as formal attire goes. My experience with him left much to be desired, however. Due to me being in and out town often, I was forced to communicate either through phone or email with David regarding plans for my wedding suit. His email correspondence was inconsistent at best which led to many miscommunications. Additionally, David initially quoted me ~$300 for suit jacket and pants. All said and done, he charged me $700. I do not know where an extra $400 might have arose -- unless a white dress shirt cost as much -- but David was not very informative about how much exactly he was charging me. As much as I think David is a great guy, I felt rather ripped off. I recommended that my friend (whom was getting married shortly after me) go to David's for his suit because my experience up to that point had been great and the price was comparable to Moore's (whose customer service is characteristically not good). He had an almost identical experience as I did, getting quoted one price and charged a vastly different one by the end. I felt bad that I had recommended he go to David's for a good experience and price only for us both to be let down in the end. Overall, I still have a bad taste in my mouth from my experience with David's overall, and would not recommend anyone who has finances in mind go here. Bite the bullet and sacrifice your consumer experience and go instead to Moore's, or find some other local place that is more honest about their prices and better at communicating with you.
