Disgusting service. The car itself had a known oil leak which was covered up when purchasing the car. I am a solicitor and this did not stop the garage being dishonest when I questioned them on all the paperwork. They have a dodgy arrangement with a local garage to see cars through MOT's. I have a had a professional garage look over the car and they have confirmed the car hasn't been serviced in a long time! When I gave the garage the opportunity to rectify this they did want to help and stated "take legal action if you want to". I would not let my worst enemy attend this garage. AVOID AT ALL COST!! The Director of this company promotes this behaviour - needless to say this is why his staff are unprofessional!!! read more

This car front has 3 sites in the area and tries to be like a car supermarket. I have had problems with them in that they advertise various things then go against the advert. They also add spurious admin charges. Also beware if you leave a refundable holding deposit, it might be hard to get back if you decide not to go ahead. They state their cars are prepared to main dealer standards. I would question that. All in all you would be better of at Carlan or Car Giant read more

I would suggest that buyers approach this company with great caution. My experience has been that, at the last minute, they added additional charges to the listed purchase price of a car and also tried to trick me into buying unwanted additional warranties. read more

I to have had a very bad experience with 4front car sales(HAndcross Branch) and lost a lot of money , as a result . I would strongly advice people to not go any near this car dealer and other company's he owns in the London area. I am suprised that Trading Standards have not closed him down in light of his way of doing bussiness. read more

Hi Thought I would write in to say how happy I was with my BMW 320d purchased from 4 Front sales at Eltham. My second car purchased from them. I have had two minor problems with the car over the past six months , 4 Front picked up the tab on both of these issues. I would imagine that this group sell over 100 cars per month so the the fact they only have eight or nine bad reviews is pretty good going. As I read further into the the reviews , It would seem that all of the negative feedback for 4 Front have been replied to by a rival car dealer based in Kent. I dont think that this will give 4 Front a fair review, Whenever consumers are happy with a product they very seldom take time to make a positive comment towards the supplier, But if unhappy , they will find time to voice their opinion. Happy from belvedere. read more

Bad experience, would avoid as the after service is very substandard. After paying over £15000 I expected a Lot better.

Had a fantastic experience with the guys at 4front recently on my purchase of a stunning BMW. Staff are extremely friendly and had all the time in the world for me. Ignore all the negative reviews of this company, they're a load of rubbish, people complaining about petty things. To be honest, most people would only take the time to write a review if it's a bad one, so I thought I'd clear the air and say that it's a pleasure to do business with the chaps at 4front read more

i bought a BMW 6 series from 4Front, I had to wait for collection of the car because it was apparently being checked over in their work shop. When I did collect the car I took it home only to find it did not have a drop of oil and the sump was cracked. They said that I did it and would not fix it even though I told them the same day!! All they did was to send a clown to my house with one liter of oil. The car has since cost me thousands to put right!! The price of their cars is less than main dealers but the after sales care is abismal! If I had bought the car from BMW it would have been in good working order and if there was a problem with it they would have fixed it, especially as I realised the same day. I would have saved thousands of pounds if I had bought from main dealer. DO NOT MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE AS ME! 4FRONT ARE A BUNCH OF COWBOYS. read more

Add at least 500 quid on to any car you look at, as you have to pay for their warranty before you can buy a car, you are not allowed to buy a car without it. They might just as well add it on to the price so you know what you are paying. If I could leave no stars I would. read more

All i can say is PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE DO NOT BUY FROM 4 FRONT ! Im not a dealer trying to leave bad feedback Im a normal bloke with a wife and a family who made a mistake and bought a BMW X5 from this company . The car since I have owned it has needed 2 new tyres 1 on the car the other was the spare which did not fit (may be against the law to sell with the wrong tyre) battery needed changing within a few weeks as it had died twice , problems with a headlight which was changed in the end but took a good few weeks as they had tried the cheap option and dryed it out over 2 days and returned the car to me with no front indicator housing or lightbulb , after 3 days of owning it I had a convo with Gary the owner who said he would buy it back fix all the problems and then sell it for £1000 more! nice customer service NOT !I now seem to have a problem with the gear box which im hoping is covered by the warrenty that I had to buy from 4Front otherwise I wouldnt get a free tank of fuel (nowhere near full when I took the car ) or some rubbish mats which Ive now replaced .So to recap the cars they sell seem to have the least amount done to them before they sell them, things that should be done before might get done after you've bought it and their customer service is amusing .It might be a bit sad but I have now removed all the free adverts that were on my car ie 4 Front sticker on back window ,tax disc holder and their details on the reg plates lol. Go to another car dealer and have a nice experience buying your new car please ! read more

We purchased a BMW 525 estate from 4front (New Eltham) in late August of this year and have had numerous problems with the car in the 2 and a bit months we have owned it. Within just 3 days of having the car we had experienced: - parking light sensor failures - window washers failing to pump out water - coolant fluid leaking from the car - driver side window jamming when halfway up - parking sensor failure - flat tyre - SATNAV not working After owning the car for just 4 days we returned it to 4front for repairs which were all covered under the 1 year warranty which we had purchased at an additional cost. I did at this point request a refund and for the car we part exchanged to be returned to us however this was declined and I was told that it was 'bad luck' that we had suffered so many problems but reassured that none of the faults were dangerous. Our baby at this stage was just 5 months old and I was vexed at having found ourselves with an unreliable 'lemon' of a car when reliability was now key for us. Since we got the car back from those repairs in early September we have had yet another coolant leak and most recently an error message to say the level system has failed. I have had to go back and forth to garages to try to resolve the problems, We will definitely not be looking to buy from 4front again. While they have acknowledged our issues and not been dismissive of them, the underlying inconvenience with all these malfunctions has left a very sour taste in my mouth. read more

Went with friends to look at a BMW. No service history and lots of flannel from the sales guy sitting in the office. Quite a patronising manner put my friends off. No politeness or negotiation. Very keen to sell warranty and dismissive of their being no evidence of the car being serviced in previous years. Surely they could have had a simple service & safety check carried out. Their wheel painter guy was not repairing / painting various car wheels in the normal industry manner but just masking with wheel on car and on ground and spraying (badly) with a tin of silver paint. No laquer finish as per normal wheel finish. Quite a poor finish, especially on BMWs! More like you would expect on a home DIY job. Disapointed with 4Front, reminded me of the old bomb site secondhand car dealers in years gone by. It seems they don't do anything to the cars, just minor cosmetic work to make them look shiny to sell. Better and safer (and maybe cheaper) to go to a dealer with more facilities and better customer service! Having read the many poor feedback reports here, we decided against a 4Front purchase and went and bought an immaculate BMW from a really nice guy who had prepared his cars very well and had just MoT'd and had serviced the BMW in question. Great negotiation and good deal. My friend is very happy with the deal. Better car, better price, serviced & MoT'd. I am nothing to do with car industry or competitors! read more

quite disappointing, after buying a BMW 530d M Sport Estate, for I would say, ok'ish price. I picked the car up, said FSH, and new MOT, however, I had to replace the rear pads pretty much straight away, although they gave me £40 of diesel, I am sure they were aware of the 'actual' cost. However, when the pads were done, I had to have filters changed because of the horrible smell, new rear tyres, £180 each, so already within 2 months, £600+ spent on the car..3 months in and the turbo has gone, another £300 from me, to cover diagnosis and additional parts recommended by BMW & my repair garage, a weeks car hire.the car has cost at least £1000 so far, and £1000 to the warranty company! It now needs front pads and the tyres could do with being replaced! The salesman (Lee) tried to be helpful, so i thought i would look to re-sell it to them, so after £2000+ spent, and a purchase price of £11.5k you would have though a little compassion, however, the offer was a laughable £9000what do you say to that, I would have spent more to purchase a replacement car, but how do you justify the loss on a car you have only had for 3 months. If they could have offered me £10k to £10.5k I would have accepted and dealt with the loss If you buy a car from these guys, I would recommend that you get an inspection done, as I do not believe the cars are inspected thoroughly. Also HAD to pay £99 admin fee & £499 warranty. read more

Having visited big motoring world first and experiencing what can only be described as the most shocking level of poor customer service imaginable it was completely refreshing to have stumbled upon 4 front. from the moment I walked on the forecourt I was greeted in a friendly, professional and yet un pushy way which left me feeling respected and valued. their cars were well presented and fairly priced and although I didn't quite get the value I was hoping for on my car the overall deal was very satisfactory. The car I had originally gone to see at big motoring world had magically been sold 10 minutes before I arrived but I was shown ironically an identical car they still had available only £1500.00 more expensive ( I have later found out that this is a trick these guys pull all the time to get you in on a car that doesn't exist only to sell you a more expensive one that does) the treatment I received was completely disrespectful and dismissive of my 2 hour journey I had made to get here. 4 front on the other hand were amazing, their cars exist, their staff (Lee and Richard) were helpful, understanding and friendly and after only 45 minutes I was making my way back home in my lovely new car. Cant speak for everyone else who has commented on this company but I will definitely recommend and return. read more

This site and their staff try to give the impression that they give a complete service. This is not th case. I Bought a car from them, picked it up, 2 flat tyres next day, no oil showing on the dipstick, and no water in the washer bottle. Checked the tyres and surprisingly both rears were bald, one down to the cords. How did it get through the MOT the week before i wonder!!! These two on the rear they replaced along with one of the fronts (with second hand ones not new!!!) and next day the front was flat again. They refused to replace this as they say it was ok when it left them!!! The 2 chips in the paint that i picked up when i viewed had not been properly repaired, but just touched in... On a positive side they have some very good quality cars, but you need to be very thorough with your inspection of them and with your list of requirements from them before shaking on the deal... Very happy with car bought (eventually), but service was terrible. Even Big Motoring World, has better customer service, as long as you know what you are looking at and what you are expecting, (at least they have a wider selection!!!) and most importantly you should agree 100% what is to be done to car before you shake on the deal... and before you accept the car! read more

Murphy001, I believe you work for 4front car sales or 4used BMW (the new name you guys have changed to because of poor reputation). I have just experienced what griffin_f was complaining about. I called while I was at Stephen James to enquire about a BMW; I was told that the car is still available. When I got to your site (which is less than 10 minutes away from Stephen James), I was told that the car is sold. NOW tell me, is that not a poor sales approach? I understand there are people that can be influenced to buy another car when they get to your showroom. But I think a little honestly and decency to inform the customer the car he/she is after is sold. I believe you should let the customer decide if he/she still wants come down and view other cars. Finally, it is totally unprofessional to come online and suggest feedbacks are not genuine. I strongly believe you should investigate all your sales team thoroughly before jumping on your keyboard and ranting about what you would do and what you won't do. After all, money motivates, and I am sure your sales team gets commission on each car they sale. read more

I bought a BMW M3 from these guys a few months back that was advirtised @60,000 miles. When i arrived at the garage, having driven for an hour and a half to view the car, it turned out it was actually 67,000 miles. This didn't bother me much as i was keen to buy the car and it looked to be in good condition and all the paperwork checked out. When buying the car the chap sold me a warrenty with Autoguard for an extra £500 saying that because a portion of the car was financed it was not an option. 2 weeks later i realised i had a coolant leak so i took it to a specialist to get it looked at and it ended up that there was a crack in the engine block that had obviously been tampered with prior to me buying the vehicle. I've been emailing to and from Autoguard that have continuously fobbed me off and seem to make a different excuse every time. It is now costing me £8,000 to repair a car that cost me 12k. I am taking Autoguard to court. Judging by my experience please be very weary when considering using this company. REALLY BAD experience dealing with 4front AND Autoguard!!! read more

We bought a 2007 Mercedes R Class from 4 Front Car Sales 2 months ago, 2 days after picking up the car we were having problems with the shocks, are several arguements it was taken to their local garage and fixed, now 2 months later all fo the sensors have come on ABS, ESP, Parking brake light wont go off, power steering has gone. We have had 2 opinions and the wheel bearings are completely corroded, after a week of trying to get hold of the warranty company they then told us that the warranty was only valid to 70k, there was 68k on the car when it was sold to us! So we now have a bill of £1,200 to get all of this sorted out and the garage have told us that the corrosion on the wheel bearings was obviously present and the point of sale. The guy at the garage was rude, we were told the car had one lady owner, it in fact after running DVLA checks was owned by the company for well over a year complete con-artists! Our solicitor is looking very forward to getting stuck into this one, it will cost us more but is now about principle. read more

I recently bought a car from 4front and encountered problems with it juddering and a warning light coming on after only a few days.. I have since had it inspected at a reputable garage and it's going to cost £1500 to put right. Needs new discs, rear pads, cam belt, shock absorbers leaking and other things on top of that. 4front told me they had changed the oil and filters but the garage said the oil was low and filthy and said it shouldn't have passed the MOT which was strange as the MOT was only a couple of months old??. I didn't take out the break down warranty but from other peoples experiences it doesn't seem to cover everything any way. I would certainly get an inspection done before purchasing another car in the future, and would certainly never go within 10 miles of 4front. They obviously dont check their cars for faults and just get rid of them as quick as they can. Shame on you 4 front for selling substandard cars. read more

Been looking for a new car for a while. Saw 4front from the road and drove in on impulse. They had a 5 year old 330i which I took a shine to. Sales gave me the key I looked it over and it seemed fine. Went back to the saleman. Asked if there was any leeway on the price..That didn't go down well, but the price was ok so I asked about the service history and for a test drive. Firstly it was clear he had no evidence of the history (bills or service book.) He then went into a protacted sales pitch on warranties which lead me to believe there'd be no aftersales service whatsoever. But the icing on the cake was when he refused to let me test drive the car unless I commited to buy beforehand. Either he thought I was a time waster or he had something to hide regarding the car we'd chosen.Either way not a good approach for getting someone to part with 15k. Lucky escape is all I can say. read more

Avoid 4 Used BMW (http://www.4usedbmw.co.uk/http://) at all cost!I bought a BMW 3 series from here for 3 months ago, as I had trouble with my old car and explained to him that I travel long distant to work and I needed a reliable car. It was advertised by them as 'Barely run' What they didn't tell me was the head gasket had gone on it an been bodged up with 'Steel Seal' in the radiator, I had the car for 7 days, 4 of which it was sat on the driveway and didn't move. when I contact them inform them of the problem, I was told 'Not our problem mate, the car was in a good condition when you drove it off site'. I was shocked with this response. I then wrote a formal letter to them on several occasions, but no one replied. I am now going to have to go through small claims court to attempt to get some of my money back. read more

I bought a E91 BMW 330d Touring. Lee worked out a deal which was far better than anyone else offered, and gave me the best part exchange price. Many dealers offered insulting trade in prices for my old car, so only have themselves to blame if they don't sell anything. BMW's of a certain age are renowned for certain problems, just check the forums, and indeed, my last E46 330d was a nightmare car. The car did have a small problem, which I fixed, (knowing problems from the past). The car was as the advert said, others have said cars advertised weren't available, well phone and check before you travel. Would have given 4.5 stars, as headlamp washer jet cover wasn't replaced as pointed out it was missing. Other than that, I will go back to them when this car needs changing. read more

Very upset with the poor communication within the staff of 4Front cars- they wasted my time. I called in the morning to enquire about an AUDI A6 found on their website. The man I spoke with told me the car is still for sale. I asked him if he can hold the car pending the time I visit the showroom, he assured me that he will. After work, I went there only to find out the car is sold. Very annoyed because they could have called me to inform me the car is sold. Rather, they waited for me to get there, and the salesman was trying to persuade me to go for another. For crying out loud!!! I know what spec I am looking for- I don't need an input. A very poor sales technique! Honestly is important. read more

Bought a BMW 1 series from them in november. Was served by Steven and have to say was a very pleasant experience, we were not hassled or anything by any sales man. The car itself my wife has been driving for a couple of months and is really happy with it. When we went to pick up the car we noticed the windscreen had a crack which we didn't notice before, we were told not to worry and would be dealt with. The next morning the windscreen was replaced and the after sales care has been exceptional. Would definitely recommend them and we will be returning this year when its my turn to buy a new car. read more
